Best Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai
Everyone who visited Chiang Mai would most likely visited this wonderful Night Bazaar. Located at Changklan Road, Mueng Chiang District, this night bazzar is surrounded by many hotels. I normally stayed at Le Meridian hotel which is right next to the night bazaar.
I love this place for the varieties that it offers to customers. I am especially attracted to the flower section of the market, so beautiful and just looking at the blooming flowers make me feel happy.
This market is also a great place for street food and dining at one of its many restaurants, be it local or international cuisines. If you are tired and need a Thai massage, there are lots of massage shops available here and very affordable as well.
I love this market and always find myself back to it every time I am back in Chiang Mai. Strongly recommended.

Chiang Mai - Enjoying Slow Time with Buddha
If Bangkok has given me a dynamic city where day and night alternate, then Chiang Mai is about enjoying slow time with Buddha. There are more than 270 temples here, and as you walk through the city streets, you won't go far without seeing one. Most of them are free to enter, and inside, you'll find more devout Buddhists praying than tourists. The slowness of this city is evident in many places. I stayed in Chiang Mai for six days, and every day when I went out, there were cars, tuk-tuks, songthaews, and a lot of motorcycles on the road, but I never saw a traffic accident. When crossing pedestrian lanes, many without traffic lights, passing vehicles often voluntarily slow down and wait for you to cross. There's no speeding or road rage; people often wait quietly or simply yield.
Chiang Mai's night markets are also a major part of the city, with the Chang Khlan Road night market being the most famous. The entire market is connected by several scattered but interconnected stall areas, with clothes, toys, souvenirs, and various food stalls spread out in each area. After six o'clock, it's usually packed with people of all skin colors from around the world. Smoking is not allowed in any of the stall areas, and if you're eating, you're expected to clean your table and dispose of your utensils in the trash after your meal, leaving a clean table for the next customer. I've never seen such a night market in any other city in my country. But the real highlight is the weekly Sunday night market, starting from Tha Phae Gate, it seems like the whole city pours in here. Many stalls from the usually crowded Chang Khlan Road night market also move here. Just walk around, and even thick legs will get slimmed down . Into the artsy vibe? I recommend visiting Nimman Road! Love ancient architecture? There's the Doi Suthep with its twin dragon temples, and Wat Chedi Luang! Bringing kids? You must visit the night safari or see the elephants! Or join me, let's go to the night market!
always happy customer

Is Chiang Mai, Thailand worth visiting?
I am delighted to share my travel experience in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Chiang Mai is a city located in the northern part of Thailand, known for its temples, cuisine, and cultural activities. During my trip, I explored the attractions in the city center and surrounding areas, and tried the local food and cultural activities.
Day 1: Arrive in Chiang Mai.
I flew from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, with a flight time of about one and a half hours. When I arrived at Chiang Mai airport, I rented a small motorcycle and prepared to start my journey. After checking in at a hotel near the city center, I visited the Chiang Mai Old City located in the city center. There are many temples and historical buildings here, and I really like the atmosphere and culture here. I visited the Chiang Mai Night Market and bought some local handicrafts and souvenirs. At night, I tried some local cuisine in the city center, including fried spring rolls and stir-fried rice noodles.
Day 2: Temple and cultural activities
The next morning, I visited one of the most famous temples in Chiang Mai - Wat Rong Khun. There are many beautiful golden towers and sculptures here, which are very spectacular. Then, I went to the nearby Chiang Mai Zoo and saw some unique Thai animals, including elephants and tigers. In the afternoon, I attended a local cooking class and learned how to make Thai cuisine at a traditional Thai farm. I learned how to make some traditional dishes, such as green curry and Thai fried rice.
Day 3: Elephant Camp and Waterfall
On the third day, I went to an elephant camp near Chiang Mai and participated in elephant riding and feeding activities. I also went to a nearby waterfall, where there was clear water and beautiful scenery. In the evening, I participated in the local night flower lantern festival and saw many gorgeous lanterns and candles.
Day 4: Exploring the outskirts of Chiang Mai.
On the morning of the fourth day, I rode a motorcycle to a small village in the suburbs of Chiang Mai. There are many local handicraft shops and restaurants here, and I bought some specialty products such as textiles and wooden crafts. In the afternoon, I went to a floating market where I saw many locals selling fruits, vegetables, seafood, and handicrafts on boats. It was a very interesting experience, and I enjoyed cruising along the canal and exploring the local culture.
Day 5: Hiking and hot springs.
On the fifth day, I participated in a hiking activity to the mountains around Chiang Mai. There are many beautiful landscapes and natural scenery here, and I also saw some wild animals such as monkeys and birds. In the afternoon, I went to a hot spring to relax. There are many pools of spring water with different temperatures here, which makes people feel very comfortable.
Day 6: The last day.
On the sixth day, it was my last day in Chiang Mai. I visited a famous handicraft market where there were many local handicrafts such as lacquerware and pottery. I also went to a local café and tasted local coffee and desserts. In the evening, I attended a traditional Thai dance performance, which was a very exciting show showcasing Thai culture and art.
Finally, I left Chiang Mai and returned to Bangkok. I was deeply impressed by this trip and grateful for Thailand's beautiful scenery, rich culture, and delicious food. I hope to have the opportunity to come back to this beautiful city again and continue to explore and discover.
Come to Chiang Mai, how can you not go to the night market? ?
If you are planning to travel to Chiang Mai, remember to bring a weekend, because don't miss the night here! city! The night market can be said to be the best choice for tasting Chiang Mai food and purchasing local products. As a foodie, if you don't taste at least 30 kinds of food, you are too embarrassed to say that you have been to Chiang Mai.
So it is very difficult to hold the money in the wallet at the night market. It doesn't matter. Maybe it seems to be an irrational impulse at the time. Looking back is an unforgettable experience and memory. The
night market collects a wide range of art souvenirs and daily necessities, all of which are all-inclusive and inexpensive, including locally produced handicrafts, including a wide range of antiques, silver jewellery and ethnic embroidery bags. , Thai silk and cotton fabrics, bamboo products, celadon, lacquerware, wood carvings, hand-painted paper umbrellas, etc.
Recommended by Chiang Mai Night Market | Changkang Road Night Market
Chiang Mai has three major night markets, Sunday Night Market is the biggest, followed by Saturday Night Market, and one is the Changkang Road Night Market every day. Although it is not so big compared to the previous two night markets, if you can't get to the weekend in Chiang Mai, it would be nice to visit Changkang Road.
Changkang Road Night Market is less than ten minutes walk from Tha Pae Gate. At six or seven o'clock in the evening, the street starts to swing. Not only special souvenirs, but also some inexpensive clothes.
Of course, if you want to buy something, remember to bargain, because the price of Changkang Road Night Market will be relatively high.
Recommended snacks: Thai fried rice and chicken noodle soup in front of McDonald's, 30-50 baht.
around: go to Starbucks, McDonald's, etc.
Speaking of the Chiang Mai night market, the most famous are Saturday Night Market and Changkang Night Market.
This time I went to Chiang Mai and I met a very creative night market, and it is very suitable for young people, that is, the grassy night market - Ploen Rudee Market, just near Changkang Road. Then why is it called Caojing Night Market? Because there are a lot of grasshoppers here, visitors here will sit on the grass and chat and drink.
There are not many shops here, but there are resident bands. We went to the Songkran Festival, where colorful buckets were hung upside down.
It feels like a big bar scene here, if you want to go shopping, it is not recommended.
Time: Monday Saturday 17.0024.00
Address: Night Bazaar
There are three well-known night markets in the Changkang Road Night Market
Chiang Mai: one is the Changkang Road Night Market on the east side of the ancient city, the second is the South Wow Road Saturday Night Market on the south side of the ancient city and the famous Tha Pae Gate Sunday. night market. One of my personal favorites is the Changkang Night Market in Chiang Mai.
There are many crafts and souvenir shops, massage shops, bars and restaurants around the world. There are many high-end hotels around Shangri-La and Aimee around the night market. Unlike other night markets that only exist on weekends, Changkang Road's night market is available every night, from 6 pm to 1 am, but generally it will be more lively after 9 pm. All the shops are gathered on both sides of the road, with vehicles passing by. Not only is it full of the fireworks that the night market has, but it also exudes an artistic atmosphere.
Here you will find a lot of small shops with paintings, all of which are hand-painted by the store manager. Some are made into cards, some are made into cloth prints and some are set in picture frames. Like a piece of work. Some store managers will also paint on the spot, you can watch it quietly, and the same kind of things are very lively and sigh in their hands.
Changkang Road Night Market is one of the largest places in Chiang Mai's many night markets. For those who do not have the opportunity to wait until the weekend night market and Saturday night market, you can come to Changkang Road Night Market to make a reservation.
When night falls, Changkang Road, which looks quiet in the daytime, will become a paradise for shoppers and food. A variety of inexpensive and small souvenirs, as well as Thai specialties and snacks, can be found in the night market.
Walk in the night market, all the way is fried chicken, barbecue, ice cream, fresh juice... A variety of foods, dazzling. The night market is not only able to find the most representative Thai cuisine, but the price is much cheaper than the regular restaurant. A freshly made mango rice is only 35 baht, and a glass of fresh juice is only about 25 baht. After you have had enough, you can also buy some small souvenirs by the way. It is definitely worth spending a night, so take a stroll here. The night market is very neat, and the booths are placed on both sides. The middle of the road is completely empty, there are not many pedestrians, the vehicles are unimpeded, and the order of the Thais is very good. Food is also a part that can't be missed. Seafood is cheaper, and your favorite friends can satisfy your appetite. Since we live in the northwest of the city, it is a little far away from Changkang Night Market. When we go back, it will be a little troublesome. It is recommended that if you live in the city, if you live in a faraway place, dont go too far at night, otherwise it will not Good car, tutu will also increase or decrease, and increase travel costs.
There are several night markets in Chiang Mai. Sunday night market is ## the most red.
[Location] Changkang Road is located at the junction of loi khro road & si donchai road. Although it is not in the ancient city, it is also a distance from the ancient city. Although Taibei wood has a starting price, 20 baht is for one person. The tuktuk car and horse fare is enough.
[Shopping Experience] At the night market, you can buy your favorite small things, bags, clothes, hats, cigarettes, or local cosmetics, daily necessities, Thai food at an unimaginably cheap price. In a hurry, you can spend 2-3 hours here to scouring, there is always a suitable for you ~
most may be made in domestic, but the price is domestic 2-3 fold, the most popular in northern Thailand The wide-leg pants are only 120 baht/bar, and can be bargained to 100 baht. This is the first recommended purchase. I have returned to China 6 or 7 times. The Chinese staff here is completely out of the way. The only difference is probably One is the Thai baht calculation, the other is the HKD, and the price is almost the same.
[Must buy] Boots has set up the factory in Thailand. It happens to be on the edge of the residence. Although it is small, the famous ointment such as monkey head and tiger brand, cotton pad, L'Oreal no.7, etc. Can be bought, the price is not enough to stop.
[Refund Policy] If you spend 2,000 baht in Northern Thailand, you can apply for tax refund.
[Gourmet] Changkang Road has a mobile stall in addition to the daily necessities night market. It can also be used for dining, burgers, chips, whiskeys
#Where to go
The small town of Chiang Mai, the night is colored.
When facing the sunset, after the Songkran Festival, dare to boldly take the red double car with the doors and windows wide open. After the spa, you will have a full meal. The last thing that makes you happy is the direct stimulation from the taste buds
Paak Dang on the Pinghe River, and the Srimantra Spa, which is a great experience. It is a surprise brought by the small town.
Chiang Mai is divided into Saturday Night Market and Sunday Night Market. The Saturday Night Market is outside the ancient city. It is only from the south gate of the ancient city, but only on Saturday. Sunday night market on the central axis of Tappemen, more lively, there are artists to perform, there are many snacks, only open on Sunday. More information There is also a night market outside the ancient city. It is called Chiang Mai Chang Kang Night Market ChiangMaiNightBazaabazzar, which is open every day. It is close to the glaciers and ChangKlangRd. There are a variety of handicrafts, souvenirs, massage parlours, bars and local cuisine in the market. Surrounded by Shangri-La, Amy and many other high-end hotels. However, the rise of Saturday night market, Sunday night market and other night markets, in recent years, NightBazaar has been in a good condition, and locals are less likely to travel.
Its not just tourists who go to the night market. Thai locals especially like to go to the night market~ (Chiang Mai is very small, and at the end of the night, Tappemen is full of stalls, walking along the stalls, Night market)
Super cheap insect specimens
Chiang Mai cuisine is typical of Northern Thai flavor. Affected by Myanmar and China, Chiang Mai in northern Thailand prefers stewed curry instead of cocoa curry in southern and central Thailand. Khao soi, the yellow wheat noodle under the curry chicken soup or beef soup is one of the representative works. Kangtok, the imperial meal of Chiang Mai, is very local with Chiang Mai. It is accompanied by traditional Thai dance and eats the local flavor of Chiang Mai such as sour meat.
