The Garden With a Troubled History
#timetotravel#campingglamping #nationalpark #celebratewithtrip. #mytripblog #tripblazers.
Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is a unique Suzhou-style garden, filled with beautiful greenery and tai-chi enthusiasts. It still feels like an oasis in a city where it is sometimes difficult to find remainders of traditional Chinese architecture. Entrance to the garden is free and there’s never-ending adventure to be had with its twists, turns, and small caves. Come and marvel at the beautiful red tiles of the main pavilion or at the extraordinary mixture of European and classic Chinese elements on its yellow facade.
In Chinese, the garden is called Lou Kau (or Lou Cau) Garden and had an interesting past. It’s as if we live in parallel realities because the garden we know and love was actually linked to gaming, revolutions, and misfortune! All of this, connected to a Chinese merchant called Lou Kau.

Chun Chou Tong Pavilion of Lou Lim Ioc Park
#2023travelwish #awesomepic #campingglamping #mytripvlog #foodie #celebratewithtrip
Lou Lim Ieoc’s layout and design took inspiration from the Suzhou gardens, the most famous of all Chinese classical gardens. Enclosed by a high wall around its perimeter, the landscape features a number of narrow paths surrounded by groves of bamboo and flowering bushes, leading to a pond filled with golden carp, turtles and lotus. A nine-turn bridge over the pond displays a zigzag shape which is worth a note: according to legend, evil spirits can only move in straight lines, hence the importance of the zigzag shaped path.
In addition, the garden comprises a large pavilion with classical and Chinese architecture features, where occasionally art exhibitions and events are held.

One of the Eight Scenic Spots of Macau: "Exploring the Beauty of Lou Lim Ieoc Garden"
"Lu Lianruo Park (formerly known as Yuyuan, also known as Lu Family Garden)" is located in the central part of the Macau Peninsula. It is a private garden of Macau's wealthy businessman Lu Lianruo, which was built in 1904. The layout of the park is well-arranged, with peculiar peaks and rocks piled up by artificial hills, towering trees, bamboo forests, blooming flowers, pavilions, corridors, ponds, bridges, waterfalls, picturesque scenery, and a layout similar to the Lion Grove Garden in Suzhou. It is the only famous garden in Hong Kong and Macau with the charm of Suzhou gardens. In 1974, it was opened to the public as a park.

The House of Macao Literature
#tripblazers #campingglamping #yearofrabbit #mytripvlog #newyearadventure #awesomepic.
Literature is a crystallization and representation of a city's taste and disposition. As a vital cultural resource, the art of literature helps urban residents free their spirits and cultivate their minds, which tends to become a state of existence and the basis of transition towards a state of self-containment.
Macao's literature dates back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. By the mid and late 1930s, the region's literary landscape began to take on a modern look. Starting from the 1980s, Macanese writers began to create "literary images" peculiar to Macao, marking the start of the region having its own literature. Macao's literature has made great progress and become a distinctive part of Chinese literature as a whole, especially after the handover on 20* December, 1999, under the "One Country, Two

Out for a Walk
One of the most popular garden or park located at Sao Lazaro, Macao. The garden was built in 1906 by local merchant Lou Kau as part of his residence, and its design follows the well-known Suzhou Gardens. It turned over to the Macau government in 1974 as a public park, which is popular with local inhabitants. It is good for a walk with fresh air and picture taking. What amaze me most is the rock formation inside the park. It has also a natural pond with a lot of fishes and turtles. A relaxing natural to go or travel to.

An oasis in old town Macau - Lou Lim Loc Garden
Macau is a lovely place for overnight visit or as day trip. While many of us are aware of the Portuguese influence in food and architecture, there are also some delightful gardens with Chinese designs.
We visited the Lou Lim loc Garden in the eastern part of the Macau peninsula. It is located just a few blocks north of the Guia lighthouse, and is a short 5 min drive from the Macau ferry terminal.
The garden was built in early 20th century by an influential businessman named Lou Kau who made his fortune from selling pork. The garden has a main pavilion with yellow facade, and the architectural design is with a mixture of Portuguese and Chinese aesthetic. The balcony in the back is particularly beautiful. The garden follows that of the Suzhou - style design. The nine curved bridge and pagoda sit in the back amongst the maze-like rock garden.
The Macau government took over the garden in 1973, and it is now opened to the public after a series of renovations. Locals and tourists can enjoy a walk in the beautiful park for free amongst the narrow streets of Macau.
Address: 10 Estra. De Adolfo Loureiro , Macau
