A Hidden Gem that Peacefully Captivates
My favorite place in KL💖
During my recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, I had the pleasure of discovering Masjid Jamek Sultan, and it truly proved to be a hidden gem that peacefully captivated my senses. This historical mosque, located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers, offers a serene and spiritual refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
As you approach Masjid Jamek Sultan, you'll be greeted by its magnificent façade, adorned with intricate Moorish architecture and elegant minarets. The peaceful ambiance that envelops the mosque immediately sets a reverential tone, inviting visitors to step inside and explore its beauty.
One of the highlights of a visit to Masjid Jamek Sultan is strolling through its tranquil courtyard. Lush greenery, tall palm trees, and beautifully manicured gardens surround the mosque, providing a serene oasis in the heart of the city. Sitting on one of the benches, you can enjoy a moment of peaceful reflection or simply soak in the serenity of the surroundings.
✨Here are a few tips to enhance your experience at Masjid Jamek Sultan:
1. Respectful attire: As with any religious site, it's essential to dress modestly and respectfully. Ensure your shoulders and legs are covered, and women may consider bringing a headscarf.
2. Visit during quieter times: To experience the tranquility of Masjid Jamek Sultan fully, try to visit during non-prayer times or weekdays when it's generally less crowded. This will allow you to appreciate the peaceful ambiance without interruptions.
3. Take your time to explore: Don't rush through your visit. Take the time to wander around the mosque, observe the beautiful Islamic patterns, and appreciate the architectural details. Additionally, feel free to engage with the friendly staff if you have any questions or desire to learn more about the mosque's history.
4. Combine with nearby attractions: Masjid Jamek Sultan is conveniently located near Kuala Lumpur's vibrant Central Market and Merdeka Square. Consider combining your visit with a stroll through these areas to explore the city's cultural heritage and sample local delicacies.

Islamic structure (Masjid Jamek)
#klinsider
Masjid Jamek is one of the oldest mosques in the country, located in the center of Kuala Lumpur. It was officially opened in 1909, two years after the completion of construction. Located at the confluence of the Klang River and Gombak River, the mosque stands over the city's first Malay cemetery. This mosque was built under the influence of Islamic architecture in India.
The atmosphere is really fascinating. You can pray in the mosque, learn about Islam or just visit inside. There is no fee to enter, but you need to wear certain clothing to enter.
Also, the famous Sultan Abdul Samad Building is located just to the left of this place.

Jamek Mosque - KL, Malaysia
Jamek Mosque, built in the early 1900s, is one of the oldest mosques in Malaysia. For many years it has been the main place of worship for the Muslims of the city and the surrounding area, thanks in no small part to its favorable location (it is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers) and attractive Moorish architectural style.
Jamek is proud to have been visited by many famous preachers and religious leaders. Tourists can also take a tour of certain parts of the mosque, but on condition that their clothes comply with the requirements of the Muslim dress code.
Address: Jamek Mosque, Jalan Tun Perak, Kuala Lumpur City Center, Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory, Malaysia.

Strolling Around Kuala Lumpur
These photos were taken during a stroll around in Kuala Lumpur. These buildings were only in walking distance. Many beautiful spots to take photos. The places were very clean. You can also see a lot of food and beverage spots around. The taste is amazing. Make sure to bring a bottle of water with you because the weather in Kuala Lumpur is pretty hot. I am not sure if you can find any refill spot but the price of the bottled water is not expensive. You can also get around with the bus which cost very cheap. Make sure also you have some coins with you to pay the public transport if you don’t have the Touch and Go card. #malaysia #kualalumpur

A Mosque in a Convenient Location in the City
A mosque located at the point where the river splits near Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur.
You will find it right after exiting the Masjid Jamek subway station.
The mosque had a bright and cute design, complete with a beautiful garden.
Upon entering, you operate an authentication page on your smartphone and borrow a robe to cover your body.
Inside, it was quiet, and it felt like forgetting the hustle and bustle of the city.
There were places where staff would provide explanations.
There was also Wi-Fi, which was convenient.

Beautiful big mosque in Kuala Lumpur
#kualalumpur
The Jamek Mosque is one of the oldest mosques of Kuala Lumpur. Oldest mosque but no less beautiful. They have volunteers who can give an insight into the mosque and Islam in Malaysia. *Impressive heritage building, easily accessible and friendly staff* There is no entry fee for any visitors. You can make small donation at the entrance for putting a flag on the country from where you come from. This is easily accessible by public conveyance and close to other places of touristic interest such as Dataran Mardeka, river of life etc. Well worth a visit.

Among the old historical mosques
The city community in particular has recognized the Kuala Lumpur Jamek Mosque which is located on Jalan Tun Perak in addition to its position between the Gombak River and the Klang River and makes it the most strategic position for the public to focus on.
The architecture of the mosque made it a landmark that later developed as the heart of the city of Kuala Lumpur. The Kuala Lumpur Jamek Mosque was the main place for Friday prayers and the center of Islamic activities until the construction of the National Mosque in 1967.
