France's best city
I've been to almost all the major cities in France, but this is my personal favorite. Bordeaux is the city of wine.
The streets are intricate and winding, so it's fun just to wander around, and the cityscape is beautiful.
I also like the fact that it doesn't have the typical tourist atmosphere like Paris.
I also went on an optional tour to visit chateaux with tastings. There is also a wine museum with exhibits about wine, although it is a little far from the center.

A WELL DECORATED CAFÉ.
Intimate destination with colorful decor offering hot drinks, plus pastries & brunch.
Since we were in Bordeaux, we decided to visit this beautiful cafe . So far, we have only been there once, but the atmosphere left a great impression on us.
The Coffee was great and that fruit tartelette was good . As someone whose passion is pastry and baking, this one was the best we have ever had and tasted. And for very good price, especially compared to the competition around.

BEAUTIFUL BORDEAUX.
Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It’s known for its Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, 18th- to 19th-century mansions and notable art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux.
Public gardens line the curving river quays. The grand Place de la Bourse, centered on the Three Graces fountain, overlooks the Miroir d’Eau reflecting pool.

A CATHEDRAL IN BORDEAUX.
The cathedral is a Gothic cathedral with attractive 19th century stained glass windows and a distinctive choir with carved misericordes.
Bordeaux cathedral originates from the Romanesque church of Saint Andrew which was built in the 11th century. It gradually gained influence over its main rival, the church of Saint Severinus which had the relics of companions of Saint John to attract pilgrims.
In 1137 thirteen year old Eleanor of Aquitaine married the future Louis VII in Saint Andrew's cathedral. Louis's father died just months later and she became the Queen of France.
Only a wall in the Nave remains of the original Romanesque church but the current Gothic cathedral was constructed over the 14 and 15th centuries. A separate bell tower, the Pey-Berland tower, was also built over this period.

THE CAPC MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART.
The CAPC museum of contemporary art in Bordeaux offers a year-round program of temporary exhibitions. It is housed in the former customs warehouse for colonial goods. In this gigantic space, artists make the place their own: a room fitted out with stone vaults and columns, staircases in which you can get lost.
Not forgetting the Arc en Rêve architecture centre, dedicated to urban planning. Go up to the terrace of the Café du Musée for a drink.

GROSSE CLOCHE.
The Grosse Cloche is one of the oldest belfries in France, in the heart of the city
The Latin inscription on the inside of the Grosse Cloche (literally "Big Bell") reads "I ring the hours and my voice is a call to arms, (…) I sing for happy events and weep for the dead". The bell was cast in 1775 and weighs no less than 7,750 kilos! Christened "Armande-Louise", it rings 6 times a year for major celebrations such as Bastille Day, VE Day, and Remembrance Day and also the first Sunday of each month at noon.
The gateway where the bell is hung also had a defensive function and served as a prison. Young people who misbehaved were confined there, shut in by a door 10 cm thick with enormous bolts. It was joked at the time that they stayed in the "Hotel du Lion d’Or" – an allusion to the weather vane on the central dome with a representation of a lion, symbolising the kings of England.
This gateway is open for visits. A guide will show you the strange dungeons still haunted by the memory of people who did not respect curfew or public order.

Bordeaux also has a sky realm
Address-Bordeaux
Office of Tourism and Bordeaux Metropole and Pierre Bridge
Features- Water is regularly released on the ground outside the visitor center to create an illusion of a lake, so when taking photos, you will feel like you are in the lake. It reminds me of Bolivia Sky Mirror. Although it is not as spectacular as Bolivia, it is still very happy to be able to see such beautiful scenery in daily environment.
The Pierre Bridge is a bridge for vehicles and pedestrians. It is particularly wasteful to walk on the bridge at sunset.

Bordeaux’s Water and Light Museum
This place is so amazing and fun and for only 11 euros (for students)
I’ve been to plenty of visual art museums but this one is gigantic. It’s so fun to walk around in the dark with the music and lights reflecting on the water. At the time of my visit, we saw the shows of Salvador Dali and Gaudi. The shows just repeat every hour or so.
Great value to chill. I just wish that there were more shows to watch.

The Pastries Heaven Of Bordeaux
If you are a fan of sweet French oastires, one way is to visit the French country itself. Marche Des Capucins is a place where many called it like a farmers market but this place opens daily except Mondays where the stall vendors will sell local produce spreads, fresh baked pastries, freshly slice cheese and own family business wine and of course fresh coffee and other French delicacies.
Eating out in France is quite expensive especially in restaurants and cafes, so this is one of the next cheaper option of eating out on take aways. At least the weather isn't as humid when you do take out and sit along the many sears on the side roads.

Located in the western France not far from Spain Bordeaux is very beautiful city. It is also very close to the Atlantic Ocean so is good additional destination for people who decided to explore the beaches of western France. The most famous attraction is the water mirror right at the main square.

Bordeaux (Port of the Moon)
#mytraveldiary
Bordeaux dazzled me with its elegance. The riverside quays along the Garonne are perfect for strolling, with grand 18th-century façades reflected in the water mirror at Place de la Bourse. I explored wine museums and, of course, indulged in tastings at local cellars—the richness of the region’s wine culture is unmatched. The city feels lively yet refined, with bustling markets and stylish cafés. At night, Bordeaux glows with golden lights, making the historic center even more romantic. It’s a city of wine, heritage, and joie de vivre.

Explore Bordeaux, the city of romance, easily with a mobile public transportation ticket!
Bordeaux, the city of romance and wine. If you want to fully experience this beautiful city, why not spend your first day leisurely exploring the city instead of visiting a winery?
Without a metro system, buses and trams are the primary means of transportation in Bordeaux.
Experience Bordeaux's unique charm by exploring the city on foot or by tram.
📝Recommended First Day Itinerary in Bordeaux (Circular Route)
1. Bordeaux Cathedral (Cathédrale Saint-André):
Admire the towering, majestic Gothic cathedral.
2. Bordeaux Grand Theatre (Grand-Théâtre de Bordeaux):
This building showcases the pinnacle of 18th-century Neoclassical architecture.
3. Girondins Monument (Monument aux Girondins):
A monument commemorating the sacrifices of the Girondins during the French Revolution.
4. 🎖Place de la Bourse:
A highlight of your Bordeaux trip! Take a photo of your life at the Water Garden (Miroir d'eau). Come here at night for the night view ✨️
5. Burgundy Gate (Porte de Bourgogne):
Connected to the Pont Pierre, it's a great place to take a quick look.
6. Caillot Gate (Porte Cailhau):
This beautiful gate retains the remnants of the medieval city walls.
7. Basilique Saint-Michel:
I was even more satisfied with this one than the Bordeaux Cathedral.
Now, to help you explore all these places more conveniently, I'll show you how to use public transportation on your mobile phone!
⚠️ Recommended only for those who aren't planning on purchasing the Bordeaux Pass.
🚍How to Use Bordeaux Public Transportation on Mobile🚋
1️⃣ Search for "TBM" on the App Store/Play Store and download it.
After downloading the app, sign up. It's easy, so you'll be done in no time.
2️⃣Purchase a Mobile Ticket
After logging in, select the "Ticket" tab on the app's main screen.
Choose the ticket that best suits your needs from the various ticket types available. Choose from two ticket types (trip ticket/hour ticket) - see photo.
⚠️Caution! The "8.40 €10-trip ticket" is a student-only ticket,
so please note that it's not available to general travelers.
If you're not a student, we recommend purchasing an hour ticket.
There's not much of a difference.
3️⃣Payment and Ticket Activation
Choose your desired ticket, pay with your card, and you're done!
Once payment is complete, your purchased ticket will appear in the "My Tickets" tab. Just activate this ticket
just before boarding the bus or tram.
4️⃣ How to Use When Boarding
When boarding a bus or tram, activate it and hold it up to the beacon. (If you purchase a ticket, you can use it for multiple people.) Tickets are rarely checked, but sometimes the ticket inspector does.
I hope this information helps you on your trip to Bordeaux!

Brunch places near the Eiffel Tower
#EuropeanTravel #Paris
🇫🇷France, Paris
📍Le Metropolitan
🍴Restaurant and cafe near the Eiffel Tower in the 16th arrondissement of Paris
🍴The atmosphere is good because it is located on the first floor of a hotel with the same name
🍴Outdoor seating is recommended over indoor seating!!
🍴There is a small market right across the street, so you can get a glimpse of the locals' lives while eating brunch in the morning
🍴The food, which was a combination of scrambled eggs, salad, and coffee, was also delicious
🍴The owner is really kind and tries to speak a little Korean
🍴I recommend this restaurant to visit on your way to see the Eiffel Tower in the morning or evening
