Hurry and take a trip to Nanjing before summer arrives. If you come in May, you'll see the *Nymphoides peltatum* in Pipa Lake, the Monet water lilies in Yanque Lake, the hydrangea and rose sea in Zhongshan Botanical Garden, and the lush greenery in Linggu Temple. The dazzling array of flowers is simply beautiful. 💁‍♀️ My reference route: Pipa Lake → Zhongshan Botanical Garden North Park → Yanque Lake → Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, Music Stage → Linggu Temple 👆The whole journey is about 25,000 steps. You can stroll and take photos along the way, so you won't feel very tired. But if you already feel hot, you can go to Hongshan Zoo for a day. This way, you can have a fulfilling weekend in Nanjing. 1️⃣ Pipa Lake ➢ It was super popular in the past two years. The *Nymphoides peltatum* is really beautiful. However, the lake is being excavated this year, so it is uncertain whether it will be open in May. ➢ The *Nymphoides peltatum* can bloom until June and July, with a very long flowering period, so you can wait a while. If Pipa Lake is not open this year, you can go to Xuanwu Lake to see the *Nymphoides peltatum*. ➢ The *Nymphoides peltatum* blooms at a specific time every day, so try to go early to take pictures. 2️⃣ Zhongshan Botanical Garden North Park ➢ Try to go after the May Day holiday. You must go to the Rose Garden to see the roses. It's an Alice in Wonderland with more than 300 varieties.
