National Textile Museum, divided into 2 floors with 4 different galleries. On the first floor, there is the Pohon Budi Gallery, which houses an exhibition of materials and textile manufacturing techniques since ancient times. Then at the Rainbow Gallery there is an exhibition of different types of batik as well as collections of textiles from the Chinese, and the Baba Nyonya community as well as textiles from Sabah and Sarawak. At Teluk Berantai Gallery you can see an exhibition of Malay textile motifs and others. In the last section, the Ratna Sari Gallery, there is an exhibition of traditional accessories used by the communities that exist in Malaysia. A lot can be learned at this museum, especially about the rich culture that exists in Malaysia. This area has many important places such as the former Royal Palace, the Post Office, the Textile Museum, the KL Gallery, the Kuala Lumpur Library, and most importantly, it is home to the tallest flagpole in the world. You can also go to other parts of the city from this point. The surrounding area has beautiful architecture. You can walk around and see it. It is suitable for travelers who like to walk and see the beauty.

Highlights: The National Textiles Museum is a very nicely arranged and well-preserved museum. There are a lots of explanation on history here. There are actual artifacts on display along with historical photos. The functional looms were a highlight for me. A bit dim light in some places but it is understandable as it will be required to preserve the original plant based colors. The workers here are helpful as well. First Stop: A Solemn Tribute to Unsung Heroes — National Monument (Tugu Negara) I took a Grab ride directly to our first destination—the National Monument, located within Kuala Lumpur's Lake Gardens. As soon as I stepped out of the car, I was struck by the sight of the massive bronze sculpture before me. Standing in the center of a fountain pool, the monument gleams with a bronze hue under the sunlight, exuding solemnity and grandeur. This monument was built to honor the heroes who sacrificed their lives during World War II and the Malayan Emergency. The sculpture features seven soldiers, each symbolizing leadership, suffering, unity, vigilance, strength, courage, and sacrifice. Standing before the monument, surrounded by tranquil greenery and water, the contrast with the bustling city center is striking. #museums #100waysoftravel This museum is located in a building with historical importance for Malaysia as it was used by various authorities including the Railways, Law, Culture, etc. The museum displays various artifacts and shows pieces about Malaysian fashion across time and age and its varieties across various provinces. Insightful for fashion enthusiasts and cultural needs however it lacks an exciting component since there are no interactive elements for visitors. The cafe and gift shop was closed unfortunately during our visit. The Management may consider including some dye making, making our own digital design, collaborative textile designing, etc. to add more fun and something that engages kids. RM5 was the entrance fee for foreigners.
