The most important thing about traveling is freedom~ 🗓Itinerary: Shanhaiguan: First Pass Under Heaven → Laolongtou (Old Dragon's Head) → Qinhuang Seeking Immortality at Sea → West Harbor Garden → Tiger Stone Marine Park [One] The first stop was Shanhaiguan in Qinhuangdao. If you're not too keen on checking in everywhere, you can stroll around the old town. I only took a photo of the First Pass Under Heaven as a check-in. After taking photos, I went to Laolongtou. It happened to be low tide, and many Qinhuangdao locals were wearing waders and fishing in the sea. There were also many elderly people on the shore collecting shells and other things🐚. Don't miss out if you want to experience beachcombing. It felt very different from other beaches, and it's worth visiting again if I have the chance. [Two] The second stop was Qinhuang Seeking Immortality at Sea. Although it's free, I couldn't find the way to the Seeking Immortality Bridge, and one entrance was forbidden. I wasn't happy because I couldn't see the sea up close, so I didn't enjoy the scenery. Now that I think about it, it would have been nice to climb the Seeking Immortality Palace and enjoy the view. (Later, I found out that you can go down from West Harbor Garden and walk to Qinhuang Seeking Immortality at Sea. There might also be a closer route that we didn't find). There's a photo spot to the left of the Qinhuang Seeking Immortality at Sea plaque, featuring the fourth chapter of the island's fourteen-line poem. It's really suitable for taking photos, with a great atmosphere. Don't miss it if you love photography. There's a supermarket further ahead that sells sausages for ¥0.4 each. It's perfect for buying them to feed the seagulls at the next stop (seagulls are picky eaters now, they don't like bread or steamed buns, but pigeons still eat steamed buns). [Three] The third stop was the photo spot West Harbor Garden. Every visit is a different experience. Last time I went during the off-season, there weren't many photo opportunities. This time, every spot was perfect for taking photos. It's a treasure trove of photo ops. Most of the photos were taken at West Harbor Garden. The highlight was checking in at Lianhong Qintiantian. The staff recommended smoothies, and all of their smoothies are delicious, a must-have for summer trips. We ordered guava and passion fruit smoothies. [Four] The fourth stop was finally Tiger Stone, my most anticipated activity - feeding seagulls! I took many photos of seagulls. The sunset at Tiger Stone is also beautiful, and there's horseback riding. In short, you won't be disappointed if you go to Tiger Stone to feed seagulls. You can rent an electric scooter and ride along the coastal road. If you go a bit further along the coastal road, there's a bathing beach where you can go down, and it's not very crowded. 📝Tips: If you're going, I don't recommend visiting many places in one day like we did. It's best to slow down and enjoy the scenery, relax, take a walk along the coast, and feel the sea breeze. You can choose between the First Pass Under Heaven and Laolongtou for the first three attractions, and arrange the rest of the itinerary for the second day. If the weather is good, you can watch the sunrise, stroll along the beach, and feed the pigeons. For accommodation, I recommend staying near Golden Dream Bay, which is not too far from anywhere. 🧳Preparation before the trip: Down jacket, fleece pants. The wind is quite strong, and it's a bit chilly by the sea.

In 215 BC, Qin Shi Huang went east to the Jieshi area and stayed here, and carved stones to seek immortals, so it was named Qinhuangdao. Qin Shi Huang's Seaside Temple is located in the southeast of Haigang District, Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, and is now a 4A-level scenic spot. According to the Records of the Grand Historian, Qin Shi Huang went east to this place in 215 BC, and worshiped the sea here, and successively sent Lu Sheng, Hou Gong, Han Zhong and other alchemists to the sea to seek immortals and seek the elixir of immortality. The scenic area is built along the coast, perfectly integrating ancient architecture, gardens, and sculpture art. Once you enter the scenic area, you will feel like you have traveled back in time to a thousand years ago. The first thing that catches your eye is the magnificent gate, with the four spirits of the Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Vermilion Bird, and Black Tortoise vividly depicted on it. As you walk further, you will see the vivid sculptures of Emperor Qin Shi Huang's eastern tour, which recreate the style of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the unifier of China and the emperor of all time. The "Warring States Style" area is even more unique, built around the characteristics of the Seven Warring States, allowing you to easily learn about historical knowledge while playing. The scenic area also has buildings such as the Temple of Immortals and the Shrine of Immortals, which are full of mysterious atmosphere.
