#Pattaya Floating Market Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Pattaya Floating Market
A visit to Thailand should include a visit to a traditional floating market. Pattaya Floating Market is pretty large and offers many food, beverage, and snack options. The shops sell a variety of items - we purchased some clothing made from Thai cotton as well as handmade totes as souvenirs to bring back home. When purchasing tickets, you can also get a package that includes photographs in traditional Thai costumes and boat rides.

Our happy time
The floating market with a lot of Thai food and souvenirs. This is the first time for me and my boyfriend to come here. We enjoy Thai food at a very affordable price. They have delicious tasting food such as Deep fried oyster and Rice noodles with fish sauce. We tried everything. At that day It was raining, so it was atmospheric. But due to the rain, it’s quite inconvenient to take part in some activities like riding on the boat.

Pattaya Floating Market is one of the most popular to visit among tourists. It is located on Sukhumvit Road South. The exact address is 451/304 Moo 12, Sukhumvit Road. It's possible to get there by car, taxi or tuktuk. It is open from 9am to 8pm. Getting in the market has fee, it costs 200Baht/person. It offers a lot of shows that visitors can watch. It has lots of food stalls, shops where to buy souvenirs. And you can also have massage if you like. The Floating Market is an ambience of Traditional Thai.
2023 is approaching and my dream destination would be Japan. I would love to experience the culture and eat authentic Japanese food.

Pattaya greatest moments
Pattaya was awesome. We started the trip to the sanctuary of truth where we find out the truth of life. It is a great reminder of who we are, why are we on this earth and what do we want to accomplish in our lifetime. The backdrop is perfect for photos and costume rental is available. There are also elephant riding.
Next en routed big Buddha temple for prayers and next take a slow walk in Pattaya walking street where there are lots of bars.
Take a slow boat ride at Pattaya floating market to immerse fully in the experience.
Pattaya Floating Market
Pattaya floating market is one of top attention in Pattaya, Thailand to see. I used Trip.com App to book the entrance ticket. It’s cheaper then you buy in App, but if you forgot to by online you can purchase at ticket counter in the market for 200 THB. For now (and of August) Pattaya Floating Market is not fully recovered from pandemic and looks like only half of the shops are opened. And compared to the past many services not available. So at this moment not really worth it to visit. #thailandinstagram #summervacation #familytravel

Pattaya floating market - Thailand
Pattaya Floating Market is located in the center of Pattaya, about 5 kilometers east of Sukhumvit Road. The market lets us learn more about the Thai-style wooden houses where locals live. You can also raft on the curved river channels and experience the infinite charm of twists and turns.
Floating Market is divided into four sections – each representing and selling items from the four major parts of Thailand (north, northeast, central and south). There’s you’ll find plenty of eateries, fruit stalls, souvenir shops and art galleries.

When you shop on a mall or even street is something usual. But, in Thailand they shop on a floating river (moving boat) since more than a decade ago.
📍Pattaya Floating Market, Pattaya
Pattaya Floating Market is one of places you have to visit in Pattaya. Like the name, this is a unique market because the sellers do the transaction on the boat and the buyers are on the top of water. They sell mostly Thai snacks. I think the price of the snacks is a little higher than the usual night market. It’s definitely worth a visit since it might be a new experience for you!

One of the places of our personal trip by taxi. Market is 5 miles out from our hotel but easy to find. We were a bit disappointed by it overall started if by how hard it was to get in by ticket. We wanted about 30 mins there and was told to follow the blue arrows. This meant we walked around the stalls and saw enough. So many stalls selling similar. Food was being cooked on little boats and in walk Iles.didnt get a chance to go for a boat ride and still took us 45 mins to walk around. Not the best visit for me

The popular travel spot, also busy for every season in Pattaya is a Pattaya flooding market.
The shops, restaurants and selling markets have been taken place on the small boats. The villagers are friendly, and the living lifestyle is quite interesting at there.
When you first arrive, you’ll easily see the floating market entrance as it is shaped like a huge wicker boat – seriously, you can’t miss it as you approach on the high-way; talk about a cool sign-post.
Out the front of Pattaya Floating Market, as well as a nice entrance sign to pose in front of, there are a couple of ‘interesting’ attractions like a ‘feed the baby goats for 25 Thai Baht

Natural Park Resort—Yidong Space Homestay
Natural Park Resort Pattaya—Yidong Space Homestay is located at Pattaya Central Beach, and its superior geographical location makes it a desirable accommodation choice in Pattaya. The hotel is only 8 kilometers away from Pattaya Railway Station. Sightseeing in this area is easy, with the Four Regions Floating Market right next to the hotel, and many famous tourist attractions within easy reach from the hotel, including Central Beach, Chiang Mai Town, Underwater World, Tiger Park, Shooting Range, and more.
Yidong Space Homestay is a three-story detached western-style house with a total of 7 rooms, including 6 large bed rooms and one twin room, equipped with a kitchen, billiard hall, reading hall, dining room, and barbecue facilities. In the morning, you can go to the seaside to buy various seafood just landed from the fishermen and bring it back for a BBQ with good friends.
You can spend leisure time chatting and drinking with friends at the hotel bar. If guests wish, the hotel can also provide room service to meet their needs. If you ask what other gourmet food is available for choice, I would definitely recommend the nearby Laong’s Bistro & Boutique (Western cuisine), Pu Pen Restaurant (Southeast Asian cuisine), and Lung Sawai (Southeast Asian cuisine), with the former being most famous for its steak.
If you are tired from playing, the thoughtful service of the massage room and the first-class facilities of the outdoor swimming pool will give you a different experience and relaxation. For those who like swimming in the sea and sunbathing, it is even more convenient, as the beach and the sea are just across a small road from the hotel, where you can fully enjoy the sun, beach, and sea.
Of course, if you still need to work during your leisure time, the hotel is equipped with a conference hall and business center, which will surely meet your needs for business activities. For the convenience of guests staying at the hotel, the hotel also provides a free parking lot.
Pattaya Floating Market
#pattayatrip Enjoyed the boat ride through the market. I would recommend you to take a boat ride first, they will drop you to the end of the floating market, then just walk back, do the shopping, and taste some Thailand food. I tried Crocodile BBQ first time from here. It was good. I chose spicy flavour so after that to cool it I tried their bubble tea from another shop. Bought some bag and souvenirs. The sellers are really friendly. But don’t forget to bargain, because they know you will bargain so they might tell you higher rates at first, when you bargain they tell the original or lowest price possible.
Pattaya Floating Market
Most people go to the Damnoen saduak floating market but we decided to head to Pattaya get some sunshine and beaches while still having the experience of a floating market.
This market is a little small but there are more than enough food and clothes vendors for you to stop off at. You pay for a ride through the market and then can walk between stalls and sit down to eat a meal.
If you are in Pattaya you should definitely check it out!

Pattaya Floating Market
An afternoon in September 2023. Good place to shop and eat.
There are fixed charges to enter the floating market and a little more to go around in the boat. Tickets can be purchased at the counter.
Try bargaining a little at the shops. That’s allowed.
Would suggest keeping 2 hours for this place in your itinerary.
All photos are my own and were posted on Instagram as well.

1. Thailand belongs to a tropical climate with abundant rainfall, which has formed many intersecting waterways locally. Therefore, water transportation is sometimes more convenient than land transportation, and local boat trading has developed.
2. The weather in Thailand is really hot, and being on a boat brings you closer to the water. When it gets hot, washing your face feels even more refreshing and comfortable 🏖️.
🚶🏾♀️[Strolling through the market]
This is the most primitive water market on the Mekong River, a Southeast Asian ethnic market with unique characteristics 🎍.
On sale, there are:
🥭Fresh tropical fruits, specialty snacks, various handicrafts, and more. The fruits include super fresh durian, mango, papaya, etc., which are particularly fresh and tempting when placed among colorful flowers. A rare fruit juice discovered is mangosteen juice, which is very rare in China and refreshing. 🥥
After a tiring stroll, there is a small food stall where one can eat directly. It is truly unforgettable, with various beautiful ethnic handicrafts that are overwhelming.
🛶[Special Experience]
If you want, you can also take a boat tour and complete transactions in the middle of the river. Wearing a bamboo hat, drinking freshly squeezed fruit juice 🍹 and lying on the boat, it looks very comfortable~
📋Tips:
⚠️Sisters who are afraid of getting sunburned, don't forget to bring your hats and sunglasses 🕶️, otherwise you'll turn into a black coal ball in minutes.
⚠️Be extremely careful to prevent heatstroke and cool down! Drink plenty of water! High temperatures make it especially easy to get heatstroke 🥵 It's best to carry heatstroke medicine with you at all times.

My trip to Thailand
I chose to spend my vacation at a resort in Pattaya, Thailand. This city is located about 150 kilometers east of Bangkok and is one of Thailand's most famous seaside resorts. Here, I not only enjoyed beautiful beaches and food, but also many interesting activities and explorations.
Day 1: Beach vacation
As soon as I arrived in Pattaya, I was attracted by the beautiful beaches and blue sky. I chose to stay in a resort hotel with a private beach, where I could relax anytime. The sand is soft and delicate, and the water is crystal clear. I swam in the waves and enjoyed the warmth of the sun.
That night, I walked to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of the beach and the sunset. The sunset in Pattaya is very beautiful, with the sun slowly sinking into the sea. It is one of the most beautiful views in my life and one of the most unforgettable moments of this trip.
Day 2: Cultural exploration
I decided to experience Thai culture here, so I went to the Jungle Water Market in Pattaya. It's an interesting market where vendors' boats are filled with various fruits, noodles, and pastries. I rode a wooden steamboat and traveled along the river, enjoying the unique charm of this market.
Next, I arrived at the Big Buddha Temple in Pattaya. This temple is located on the top of a mountain and is an excellent spot to overlook the entire city. Here, I saw many beautiful sculptures and murals, and also felt the faith and culture of Thai Buddhism.
At night, I visited a theater in Thailand. Here, there were traditional Thai dances and performances, which is one of my favorite activities. The performers' costumes and dance steps were very beautiful, making me feel the profound cultural heritage of Thailand.
Day 3: Activity exploration
Today I decided to try some adventurous activities. First, I participated in a diving activity. It was my first time diving, but the coaches were very patient and helped me through an exciting diving experience. Under the sea, I saw various strange marine creatures. Their beauty and mystery left a lasting impression on me.
Next, I arrived at the go-kart track, which is a very popular activity. My friends and I drove the race cars together, experiencing the thrill of speed and adventure.
Finally, I arrived at Phoenix Park, which is a magnificent natural park with traditional Thai palaces, gardens, and flowing streams. I strolled here, enjoying the beauty of nature and relaxing my body and mind.
Day 4: Food journey
Pattaya's cuisine is very rich and diverse, and I decided to try some local delicacies. First, I went to a small stall and tasted Thai fried chicken, which is the most delicious fried chicken I have ever had. It was crispy and juicy, and paired with Thai-style chili sauce, the taste was excellent.
Next, I went to the local night market. There were all kinds of snacks and delicacies here. I tried some local snacks, such as fried insects and scorpions. Although they looked strange, they tasted pretty good.
Finally, I arrived at a specialty restaurant and tasted the local seafood, such as lobster and crab. These foods were very fresh and delicious, and I really felt my taste buds enjoying them.
Day 5: Shopping trip
Today I came to the shopping center in Pattaya. It is a very large shopping mall with all kinds of products inside. I browsed some local handicrafts, such as handmade jewelry and textiles. These things are very exquisite and it's hard for me to resist their temptation.
Next, I arrived at a local street market where there were all kinds of small shops and stalls. I bought some local specialties, such as red turtle cakes and coconut candy. They tasted really good and were great gifts for friends and family.
At night, I arrived at the local night market where there were all kinds of goods and food. I bought some exquisite Thai handicrafts and also tasted some local delicacies, such as grilled skewers and stir-fried rice noodles, which were really delicious.
Day 6: Hot Spring Fitness
Today I chose to relax and came to the local hot spring fitness center. Here, there are various fitness equipment and facilities, where I can exercise my body and relax my mind.
Next, I arrived at the local hot spring bath, which is a very interesting place. Here, I can enjoy hot springs and massages, as well as many other therapeutic measures.
Finally, I arrived at the hotel's spa center, where there are various beauty and massage services. I chose a Thai massage, which was a very comfortable and relaxing process, making me feel the friendliness and warmth of the Thai people.
Seventh day: Return to nature.
Today I chose a return-to-nature trip and came to Coral Island in Pattaya. This is a magnificent marine ecosystem with a variety of marine creatures and coral reefs.
My friends and I took a small boat to the island, where we can swim, snorkel, and fish. We saw various marine creatures, such as anemones, small fish, and starfish.
Here, I experienced the beauty and tranquility of nature, and felt the power and mystery of the natural world.
This seven-day trip has made me deeply fall in love with Pattaya. This city not only has beautiful beaches and natural landscapes, but also rich and colorful culture, food and activities. I am really grateful for the opportunity to come to this place and spend such a wonderful time. I believe I will come back here again and rediscover the unique charm of this city.

Exotic Food at Floating Market
Anyone try to eat or taste some exotic foods at Pattaya Floating Market? Its either a WOW or EWw. Slide the pics and say something... But first, lemme tell something that Thailand is known also for its unique floating market, but mind you, there is an specific time for opening and closing, check the date and time before you go there. Then reminder too, this requires an entrance fee, 2 way to choose, ride a boat first going in the farthest part, then walk alongside the river and follow the arrow on the floor to avoid lose of way going out. Then just enjoy the stores of souvenirs or tje exotic food. Fried beetles? Dunno the exact name but looks like one. Fried grasshoppers? This one is yummy and tasty, try for yourself when you get here too! These foods will make your travel unforgettable.
