🏨Accommodation:
We recommend staying near Mestre Train Station 🚉. It's convenient to take the train to the main island, and the prices are much more affordable than on the island 💰. There are also more dining options, while the main island mainly offers Italian cuisine.
-
⛵Transportation:
🔹The main island is mainly accessible on foot 🚶♂️, so wearing comfortable shoes is important!
🔹Take the train between the two train stations 🚉 Mestre and S. Lucia. Buy tickets at the self-service machine at the train station for €1.45 💶 one way. The train ride takes 10 minutes, with a train every 5-10 minutes!
🔹Water bus 🚟: Buy tickets at the pier window or self-service machine. Transfer within 75 minutes for €19.5, one-day pass 🎫 for €25, two-day pass 🎫 for €35, three-day pass 🎫 for €45. We highly recommend taking it at night, as Venice is really beautiful at night 🎑!
🔹Gondola ⛵: 30 minutes, €90 during the day, €110 at night

⚠️Some tips:
▪️Whether you are driving or taking public transportation, we do not recommend staying on the island ❌. The hotels on the island are generally old, and there are many stone roads and bridges without slopes, making it difficult to carry luggage 😩
▪️The desserts in small shops have a high chance of being disappointing, especially the sweet ones 🙅♀️, but the various fried seafood is quite good
▪️If you encounter someone enthusiastically giving you bracelets, flowers 💐, or pigeon food, be sure to refuse!
