I'll recommend some places to visit in Lisbon and nearby cities that I've been to while traveling😍 If you're planning a trip to Portugal, especially Lisbon, be sure to read this:) 📍Places to visit in Lisbon - Miradouro de Santa Catarina / An observatory overlooking the Tagus River. It's hip because there are a lot of young people. - Praça do Comércio / If you go to Lisbon, you must visit the wide Praça do Comércio. The Augusta Street Arch Arco da Rua Augusta is a really cool square! - Santa Justa Elevator Elevador de Santa Justa / You can see the whole city of Lisbon at a glance. (6 euros, pay on site) - Alface Hall Jazz Bar / If I had to name the best place in Lisbon, it would probably be this jazz bar.. I went there every day during my two trips. - R. Augusta Street / This is a street that leads to Plaza de la Comécio, and there are many shops, souvenir shops, and delicious cafes. - Café da Garagem / A cafe with a really great view. The price of coffee is good value for the great view. Coffee + nata (egg tart) = about 4 euros. - Restaurante Cabaças / If you go to Lisbon, you should go to Cabaças every day... It's a local Portuguese restaurant with delicious steak!! There might be a wait, so go quickly!! - Miradouro das Portas do Sol Viewpoint / An observation deck with a great view of the orange rooftops of Europe! The pictures are also really pretty:) - Eduardo VII Park / It's the largest park in Lisbon. It's great for a leisurely walk. Dogs run around and it's a really relaxing place. - Tram photo zone: Bica - Lg. Calhariz A place where you can capture the Bica Line funicular view beautifully. It's especially famous for the tram number 28 view. / Elevador da Glória A steep alley that goes up to the Alcantara observatory! It's short, but you can see the funiculars going up and crossing each other. - Belem District: If you want to learn about Lisbon's history, you absolutely must visit the Belem District..! Make sure to set aside a day to visit. ✔️Recommended places / Tower of Belém, Jerónimos Monastery, Monument to the Discoveries of Belém, Pastéis de Belém (egg tarts are delicious..) 📍Recommended places near Lisbon - Cascais / I visited this place because I wanted to visit a special resort other than the places that everyone visits. It's a 30-40 minute train ride from downtown Lisbon. It's such a beautiful resort that locals go swimming every weekend. There's also a place where you can wash up, so you can get a tan and swim on the beach :) ✔️Recommended places: Praia da Rainha Beach, Pedra da Nau Cliff - Cabo da Roca: The land's end village of the Eurasian continent, Cabo da Roca! It's a 50 minute bus ride from Sintra & Cascais, so it's a good place to visit when you're traveling to Sintra or Cascais. It's the westernmost part of the continent, so it feels mysterious. The sea is also really pretty, so visit it when you travel to Lisbon! Lisbon is recommended for a leisurely trip, staying for 3 nights and 4 days at the shortest, or 5 nights and 6 days at the longest. It is a hip city with a different charm from Porto. I didn't have high expectations for Lisbon. When I arrived in Lisbon from Porto, the wide streets and urban vibe made me feel like I had finally arrived in Europe. It even had a bit of a Spanish feel to it. While Lisbon's charm was different from Porto's, riding the tram was a unique experience. However, Lisbon was larger, and the attractions were more spread out, making Porto more convenient to explore. I regret not visiting a seafood market in Lisbon—it would have been a great experience, but I didn't know where to go and ended up only visiting typical tourist spots. Trying roasted chestnuts from street vendors was an interesting experience; I understood why people don't buy them often—they were dry and salty. Walking around Pingo Doce for grocery shopping left a strong impression on me. The supermarket prices were affordable, which I appreciated. I especially enjoyed the green wine I bought—it was cheap and delicious, and I wish I had bought more! 😂 The 'water jam' wasn't as tasty as I expected, but it made for a decent gift. I spent some time wandering around to buy souvenirs. The 28 tram was always crowded, but I managed to ride it to the Portas do Sol viewpoint. Lisbon had many buskers, and their music was of high quality, leaving a lasting impression on me. ❤️❤️

The river was as pretty as the sea, and the waves were amazing If you didn't know it was a river, you might have thought it was the sea! There were so many unique and magnificent statues that I think I needed a lot of time to look around For those who want to feel free and healed, I recommend visiting this place. Located in the center of Lisbon, Commerce Square is a tourist attraction where you can enjoy Portuguese history and beautiful scenery! ! ! ✨ Recommended points 1. Vast open space and beautiful architecture • Surrounded on three sides by yellow arcade architecture, it features an open design. • In the center is an equestrian statue of Jose I, giving you a sense of Portuguese history. 2. Lisbon's best photo spot • Beyond the square is the Tagus River, and the contrast with the blue sky is soothing 🔥 There are many cafes with spacious patios nearby, so be sure to take a break and It's also a great starting point for sightseeing in Lisbon, so be sure to stop by! The famous 28th tram also runs nearby 🚃🫶

#springwander Lisbon stole my heart with its colorful streets, historic trams, and breathtaking views! 🇵🇹 I started at the iconic Belém Tower (€6), then indulged in the famous Pastéis de Belém – a must-try! 🥮 Strolling through Alfama’s winding alleys felt like stepping back in time, with fado music echoing in the background. Had a great time around the city even if it rained a lot (and I mean a lot), very walkable city with lots of hills so get in shape. Belem is very close and can be easily reached by bus or even Uber (about 8€) and I 1000% recommend pasteis de Belem/Nata. Delicious, cheap and available almost anywhere. Also spend a day in Sintra which can easily be one day for the Palace and gardens, and one day for the rest. Also very steep hill so negotiate with the taxi drivers to at least get to the Palace and then walk down (it's a seriously steep and long walk, worth it). #lisbon #sintra #belem

I went to Praca do Comércio and Arco da Rua Augusta. They are both symbols of tourism in Lisbon, but they are both close to each other. The Augustan Gate is quite large, and I recommend taking a walk from here to the famous Rua Agusta. Of course, it is located at the mouth of the Tagus River, so I also recommend taking a walk along the river.
