Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam: Premier Pool Villa
Dear friends, our journey took us to the beautiful Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam, where we stayed at the Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort. The resort offered us a villa with a private pool, providing great value for money🌴🏠.
What made the trip even more wonderful was meeting our good friends from Singapore, Pavel and Katherine. Enjoying the sunshine, beach, and each other’s company made this trip extra special.
The private pool in our villa added lots of fun to our vacation. Sienna and the kids played in the water, while the adults relaxed by the poolside, enjoying the tranquility and beauty of Phu Quoc Island.
Not only is Phu Quoc picturesque, but the food is also fantastic, especially the local seafood. Sharing these precious moments with friends made our Vietnam trip filled with warmth and joy.

Live in a single-family villa with sea view in Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam
If you plan to experience exotic vibes, I highly recommend Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. Not only is it less crowded with beautiful scenery, but it's also visa-free. Moreover, Phu Quoc Island offers a relatively low cost of living, allowing you to stay in a seaside villa for the same price as a basic room in Thailand. Premier Village, a resort I truly adore, is a must-stay destination on the island‼️
🏖️ Phu Quoc Island is situated at the southernmost tip of Vietnam, in the sea between Cambodia and Vietnam, adjacent to Cambodia's Sihanoukville and a bit distant from the Vietnamese mainland. As a rapidly developing tourist city in Vietnam in recent years, Phu Quoc Island has undergone tremendous changes 🚣 from a remote fishing village island to a hub of star-rated resorts, becoming a sought-after destination for island getaways. The hotel is located at Ong Doi Cape in An Thoi Town, the southernmost point of Phu Quoc Island, approximately a 30-minute drive from Phu Quoc International Airport. Flying to Ho Chi Minh City takes about 50 minutes✈️, while a flight to Hanoi takes around 2 hours. The hotel is perched on Vietnam's largest island, offering direct access to the crystal-clear sea and white sandy beaches, allowing you to enjoy breathtaking sea views and the lush jungle surroundings.
The resort features 217 luxurious villas, each equipped with a spacious living room, a private pool, a large balcony for admiring the scenery, a roomy living and dining area, and a fully-equipped kitchen. Pool villas are situated at the end of the peninsula, providing guests with convenient access to a private beach retreat 🏄. Two-story villas come in two, three, and four-bedroom options, making them ideal for family vacations or romantic getaways. The four-bedroom Rock Villas and three-bedroom Sea View Villas, perched on giant rocks, offer guests a private and tranquil space, while beachfront villas allow guests to enjoy splendid sea views at any time 🏊. As a paradise for nature lovers, there are various activities to engage in, such as diving, fishing, and jungle trekking.

Amazing stay at this magnificent resort
#bucketlistreboot
Came back here again and it is such a gem of Phu Quoc. We booked a 3 bedroom Beachfront Villa to have full easy access to the beach. It’s literally just outside your door step. The sea is calm with little or no wave on this side of the island. Though it was raining, we have no issues playing the SUP in the water. The villa came with its private swimming pool and the kids love them so much.
The 3 bedrooms are well-designed and modern with fully-equipped kitchen should you need to cook up some meal.
The master bedroom comes with its own bathroom and is so gorgeous. All rooms have their own balcony with sea view in front of you.
Definitely will come back again.

Good place to chill and relax with family
Address - Ong Doi Cape, An Thoi
Ambiance/Facilities - This is a compound of private villas with their own pool
Highlights - Access to the beach for kayak and SUP try. The sea on East Beach is really calm for all these activities. Unfortunately, the weather was so cloudy and rainy. It would look perfect on a sunny day.
There are many types of villa suitable for everyone. Do note that since the area is huge, you may need to book a buggy in advance if you want to move around. The resort ask you to download an app for easy communication though we only used it for buggy booking.
The food at Corallo restaurant is quite decent. It’s a fusion restaurant so you can get both Asian and Western food here.

The best buffet breakfast spread ever
Address - Premier Village Phu Quoc
Ambiance/Facilities - indoor and outdoor sitting
Highlights - I have reviewed the resort itself but the buffet breakfast deserves a detailed review on its own,
Breakfast was served by the Market restaurant. However, the restaurant was undergoing some renovation so we had our breakfast served at Corallo restaurant. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We opt to sit indoor but near the outdoor area where you can feel the cool breeze.
Breakfast was built around the concept of 5 elements (metal, wood, water, fire and earth).
The live station is in the centre of the restaurant where you can request for a bowl of hot noodle soup of the day. Do try their egg benedict as the chef really takes pride in preparing this dish.
They have a wide variety of cooked food and fruit juice too. And of course, Vietnamese ice coffee is a must try. The coffee was already prepared in advance. So all you need to do is to add ice to the cup and enjoy 😊
Service: staff was attentive in clearing our dirty plates and even offered hot chocolate for kids. I can see the restaurant manager going around to ensure food is always replenished for the next guests. Thumbs up for the breakfast team!

Breathtaking view out of the room
This is a great place to stay in Phu Quoc. It is isolated from other resorts on the island, maintaining its own peninsula. Each villa has its own private pool, the grounds immaculately maintained.
Breakfast in the restaurant is fantastic. The resort has different villa types to cater to your needs. We highly recommend to stay at Beach villa if you want to access the beach the moment you stepped out of the villa. Otherwise, villa on the rock is a good option as you have vantage view point of the whole resort.
Wish we have more time to spend here 🥰

Fusion food at Corallo restaurant
Address - Premier Village Phu Quoc
Ambiance/Facilities - Corallo restaurant is a bit dimmed at night. Would love if it’s a bit brighter
Highlights - Fusion food without getting out of the resort for dinner. Premier Village Phu Quoc was located a bit off the track. It would take around 10-15 minutes to reach the restaurant in An Thoi. So we decided to have our dinner here. The menu is a fusion fare between local/Asian food with some Western dishes.
We tried:
Fish and chip-portion is good and everything is on point for fish and chip
Braised Cobia fish in a clay pot (Cá bớp kho tộ) -portion is huge and the seasoning is excellent. A must-try dish if you prefer Asian fare
Stir-fried flat noodles with seafood (Phở xào hải sản)-similar to Pad Thai but with a beautiful presentation
Island seafood bouillabaisse-the smallest portion of all and probably the most disappointing dish of all. The soup broth is still good though we are expecting a bit more for this dish.
Avg. Price per Person - $20

Wonderful resort for relaxing and restoring
Our family booked Beachfront Villa and this was definitely the right decision.
Our villa was located on East Beach and the water was very calm for all beach activities (like kayak, SUP, swimming in the sea) even though it was very cloudy with on-and-off showers. There is hardly any big wave when we were there and the water activities are supposed to be conducted in the “safe” zone. The life guards were always present and patrolled the beach. I noticed this as we have kids in our group and the life guards were always within your sight should you need help. This has really reassured us that the resort did take it seriously in term of guests’ safety.
Check-in: Our family arrived early before check-in time. Since it was weekend, we were not able to check-in earlier but the resort arranged to keep our luggage. We hanged around at the lobby play area as they have a billiard table tucked in a corner.
Accommodation: Beachfront villa comes with Premier Club privileges (fridge filled up with drinks, welcome fruit platter, free ice cream for kids, free cocktail drink for each adults). The villa is huge at 350s qm and has 3 bedrooms. Each has each own balcony with the ocean within sight. I was considering between 4-bedroom ocean view villa (450 sqm) and 3-bedroom beachfront villa (350 sqm) but decided beachfront villa eventually due to its close proximity to the beach.
If you stay at other villas like Hilltop/Oceanview/on the rock, you will need to book buggy via their app to drive you down to the beach. These villas are far from the beach, so if you prioritize privacy, these may be one of the options.
Rooms: fully-equipped for our stay. Only master bedroom comes with bathtub and his-and-her sinks.
Dining: Breakfast is superb with so many options. (Try egg benedict as the chef did really make effort in plating the dish). Kuodos to him. This is probably the best breakfast I have since the pandemic. The Market restaurant was under renovation so we had our breakfast in Corallo. We arrived at the breakfast area around 7am and staff/chefs are already on full gear to serve guests. The food are quickly filled whenever the items run low. Our family was really impressed with the breakfast team.
However, the dinner service at Corallo was a bit slow. Dishes are excellent though.
Overall: we appreciate the privacy the villa provided with its own private beach and breakfast quality. We really had a great time here.
