Radisson Collection Highland Shanghai Hotel, where I could stay very comfortably for 3 nights and 4 days! The staff were friendly, and the hotel was well-maintained and clean, which I liked. Above all, I loved the view of the Oriental Pearl Tower, and usually, I feel dryness when sleeping in hotels, but here I could sleep comfortably without any dryness, which was really great! Hopping onto days 3 and 6 becauseee based on my itinerary, it’s more free and easy days! Days 4 and 5 consist of a Day Trip to Suzhou and Disneyland in my later postssss 😬 
🚇: Xintiandi Station (Line 10/13, Exit 6) 
First Stop, we headed to 新天地. It is known for its Shikumen architecture and there are various restaurants and shops nestles within these houses. I will say the $$$ is comparable to the streets of Orchard. 
We spent about 2 hours here inclusive of lunch! There is an another small street called 田子坊 if yall will like to explore. 
Tianzifang 
We then took a didi to Shanghai Starbucks Reserve. 
Starbucks Reserve Roastery 星巴克臻选上海烘焙工坊 
This was tbh more like a tea break stop for us as it is about 15 mins stroll to our hotel. What’s unique about this Starbucks is that there is an entire roastery within the shop itself. 
I will say do drop by if u are into collecting merchandises from Starbucks as this Starbucks have tumblrs and Cups that are unique to Shanghai Only!!

🚇: Jiaotong University Station (Lines 10/11, Exit 7) 
Wu Kang Lu 
武康路 is known for its European style buildings. Walking through the streets of towards Wukang building is peaceful and serene. We made a few pit stops near by to admire the architecture of some cafes and small shops! There are many vintage clothing stalls as well as shops selling handicrafts.

This is the Radisson Collection Highland Hotel that we stayed at in Shanghai. We booked a place where the living room and the room were separate, and it was the perfect hotel for three people. The room was spacious, so it was good for spreading out our suitcases, and the bathroom was big and the rooms were very clean, so I recommend this hotel~! Once you land at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, it is a quick 45 mins airport transfer to Nanjing East road. For this #hotelreview I will showcase Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai Hotel. There are several subway entrance/exit points here and the nearest will be on Line 2, Nanjing East Station Exit 1. You can walk over to Nanjing Pedestrian Walking street within a minute because it is right outside the hotel. Some places of interests are easily walkable too. For example, 15 minutes walk to The Bund, 10 minutes walk to People’s Square and so on. You can even use their popular food delivery app Mei Tuan and deliver to the hotel too. There is a collection point inside the hotel located at ground floor for deliveries. I like to highlight this hotel for being so conveniently located and the subway entrance is nearby. In Shanghai, taking the subway is the fastest mode of transport to skip the traffic jam. It is also cheap, and you can go cashless with Alipay transportation mode too. I got assigned to a lovely room and the window facing towards Oriental Pearl TV Tower 东方明珠电视. I can see the lights up on the tower at 7pm every evening. The views are lovely, and you can see all the way towards Huangpu river. Some of the staff can speak English so there is not much of language barrier. The next time I revisit Shanghai, I will still choose to stay in this hotel. My stay was in August 2023 and I paid $374.05 for 3 nights after using promo codes.

If we talked about hotel of convenience then this hotel is recommended. Miniso land is just beside and all the iconic cutesy stuffs were within reach. I love the choices of their breakfast too. Highly recommended.

Visited Shanghai for a 4 days business trip. Spend most of the time meeting with very limited time for sightseeing. The bum is the place to visit. There are a lot of cruise to book for a sailing with buffet spread. Windy cruise. Able to enough local food like Xiao long bao and enjoy the nice view around. I was thinking of staying in Central, where many Koreans go, but I accidentally found Radisson Collection Highland Shanghai.. In conclusion, I highly recommend it. 1. Accessibility to Nanjing East Road/Waitan/Oriental Pearl River 2. Hotel with a view of the Oriental Pearl River 3. Disneyland can be reached by subway 4. There is a subway station near the hotel, so it is easy to get around 5. There are many good restaurants near the hotel 6. Good soundproofing, and there is no noise even though it is right in front of Nanjing East Road 7. The hotel staff are very kind and quick to handle 8. The hair dryer is really strong 9. First started off with selecting a hotel with wheelchair accessibility entrance and Radisson Collection Hyland Shanghai hotel has served my needs well! The step free entrance goes directly out to the Nanjing Pedestrian Street. I also opted for the daily breakfast and the old man was pleased with the wide variety of the food especially when there is congee every morning. Feed him well and he will nag lesser after a full tummy. I also opted for the 2 ways airport transfers via Trip.com. This has been a saviour especially when I’m travelling with 2 luggages and 1 pushchair. Thereafter drivers are very helpful with my luggages and push chair. Thereafter is free and easy all the way and taking didi wherever I go since the transport prices are way cheaper compared to SG and it’s more convenient for us. Enjoy Shanghai!!

My family chose to take a didi to Disney land instead of public commute, even so from our hotel at Nanjing East Road, it takes about 45 mins via a car ride! 
🚩🚩: there are many locals that shoved raincoats in my face when I alighted from the didi! Do be careful of these!! However, there will be heavy police presence around the designated drop off!!
I will say the park IS A 💯 WORTH TO GOO!! I went during opening hours and I didn’t even get to finish the rides in the entire park!!! It’s definitely larger than HongKong Disneyland!! 
It’s really family friendly as well, as I have noticed from the park map that all the kids and family rides are station near the castle/ main entrance of the park , whereas coasters and more thrill ride are located a little further from the main entrance !!

One thing unique about Shanghai Disneyland is that, nearer to the 2nd entrance where all the thrill coasters are, there is a Disney Town!! Do take note that you will have to exit the entrance and get a re-entry stamp!!
My family and I did a little exploration and went into Disney Town, there are many more food options with different cuisines eg. the Cheesecake factory! 
There’s also a MEGA SOUVENIR store at the end of Disney Town for you to get unique souvenirs! ✨

‼️‼️: do note that if you are planning to grab a didi back to your hotel from the pick up point, the pick up point will close at 8pm sharp!!! It will then re-direct the drivers to a further pick up point!! Also, we were warned that drivers might ask us to pay 10CNY for entry fee to pick us up, however seeing that we were tourist, our driver asked us for 20 CNY!!!! We only found out it was only supposed to be 10 CNY from our hotel staff. 
Secondly: while trying to get a didi back to the hotel, there will be random drivers approaching you to quote you a ride back. BEWARE!!! As these drivers do not belong to didi or any taxi company within China!!! We were approached by one and he quoted us slightly cheaper than what didi has quoted, but we did not go ahead as there was a security that was standing beside us while he was trying to negotiate !! Security then directed us to the didi pick up!

Yu Yuan Gardens 豫园： 
Will recommend this classical garden to anyone who appreciates heritage architecture! This garden felt more like an open air museum with different artifacts in different heritage houses! If you are someone who might not appreciate these heritages, will recommend you to skip this one out and head to the breakfast spots and walking streets nearby the area! 
🚇: Yu Yuan Gardens 
Took Line 10 from Nanjing East Road > Yu Yuan Gardens. Upon alighting it was about a 10 mins leisure stroll to Yu Yuan Gardens itself!
🎟️: tickets can be found in Klook! However we decided to purchase at the ticketing counter on that day itself. Tickets are about SGD 22-27! 
!!!! Will recommend to go in the morning as there are lesser crowds! Even though is winter when I went but there is still some Sun in the afternoons!

Once we exited Yu Yuan, we managed to find the popular 大汤包 along the streets. 
Lunch was settled there as well as it was a shopping complex with many traditional handicrafts and teas 🍵
if you are still up for some sight seeing, there are directions that leads to 城隍庙 (Cheng Huang Miao)!! In which I skipped it.

The bookstore is located at the 52nd floor of the building! It encompasses of a bookstore and stationary store (mostly mandarin books). The cafe offers a 💯 view of the Shanghai Skyline. << do note that the viewing gallery is in the cafe itself!! This was day 4 of my Shanghai Trip! We decided to do a day trip out to Suzhou after seeing 小红书. Here are the places we planned to visit: 
1. Humble Administrator Gardens 拙政园✅
2. Lingering Gardens 
3. Suzhou Museum 
4. Shan Tang Street 山塘街. ✅
BUTTTTTTTTT we honestly underestimated the size of 拙政园 itself and it took us longer than expected, hence we only managed to go to the ✅ above.

Shanghai Railway Station 
🚇: Shanghai Railway Station. Took a HSR to Suzhou Railway station (25-30mins ~). Tickets were booked via trip.com for about SGD 8~ per pax. 
Do note that Shanghai itself has 3 railway stations, we chose the main one as it was the closest to our hotel 
🎟️: Humble Administrator Garden: SGD15 
Do take note they have different timings of entry! 
Humble Administrator's Garden 
拙政园 is a UNESCO world heritage site. The garden itself has a very rustic feel to it with the different heritage buildings, ponds and architecture we see along the way. We spent a total of close to 2-3 HOURRRRRS in this garden itself as the compound is every huge!!! Definitely worth going to 📸

Shan Tang Jie 
We took a didi to 山塘街. Honestly felt this tourist street was a little overrated , and time wasn’t on our side. BUTTT I will say to still give it a try as there are quite a few activities to do! There is a boat ride where tourists can take around the village, as well as many street foods along the riverside! 
It was more of a dinner stop for us before heading back to Shanghai! Nonetheless, as someone who appreciates olden China architecture; I do appreciate the opportunities I have there to explore and try local cuisines! #Tehotravels #china #shanghai #suzhou #travel #thingstodo #citydaytours

Travelling around Shanghai 🇨🇳is very convenient as the city itself has 18 metro lines! 
🏠: We booked a hotel that is just a 3 mins walk from Nanjing East Station (Lines 2 and 10). 
We shortlisted this hotel due to the convenience of walking to the main attractions such as The Bund, 外滩.
The hotel is also located right next to 南京路。
Metro lines 2 and 10 are where most of the major tourist attractions are, hence it’s convenient to travel between these places! 
🍔: not much food recommendations from me as my family and I mostly eat as we walked along 南京路. It is comparable to Singapore’s Somerset vibes as we walked along the street, with many food options available!
✅： I booked a River Cruise (45mins -1 hour) that takes you across the Shanghai Huangpu River. Pre-booked the tickets though Klook. However there were MANYYY agencies that were selling river tickets as well. Do take note that some are selling for a short cruise ride (10mins). 
Will definitely recommend to go for the full experience of the 45 minute ride to enjoy the night scenery with the lights lighted across The Bund!#travel #china #shanghai #

I booked a Presidential Suite at Raddison Collection Hotel to properly celebrate my birthday with my friends! The views, the staff, the foods! Truly amazing.
