I visited Sushiki in Seolleung Station, which requires a reservation. You can make a reservation at Catch Table and go. The traffic is very congested on weekends, so be careful of the time! (I was 20 minutes late haha) Lunch is 4.5, which is between entry and middle. Sushiki seems to make good use of a lot of sauces. They have a variety of options, including truffle, truffle oil, caviar, yuzu, uni cream, and Myeonghan cream. However, you only get 9 pieces of sushi. Considering that you usually get about 12 pieces, it's a bit disappointing. I happened to want to go for a walk, so I looked at the map and found Seolleung and Jeongneung, the main characters of Seolleung Station that I always visit. If you get off Seolleung Station and walk a little, you will find Seolleung. Since I am under 24 years old, I was able to see it for free. I took out my earphones and walked along the trail, following the blue sky, green grass, and the sounds of various birds, and the wind, and saw and captured various scenes. Right in the middle of Gangnam’s chaos, you step inside and peace, pine trees, and grassy hills with royal tombs tucked in. It’s where a couple of Joseon kings and a queen are buried, which sounds intense, but the vibe is actually super chill. The paths are soft and shady, perfect for a slow stroll or zoning out with a podcast. There’s cool stone statues watching over the tombs, and the whole place feels calm without trying too hard. Not touristy, not crowded, just quiet and kinda magical. It’s great if you’re into nature and history but don’t want to hike or do anything too extra. Bring a drink, wear comfy shoes, and enjoy the break from the usual city rush. Honestly, it’s one of those underrated gems you’ll want to gatekeep.

Located near Seolleung Station, the meat restaurant **'Gobon'** impressed me with its system where you can select your meat right at the entrance. The interior was spacious and clean, making it a pleasant place to dine, and the availability of parking in front of the restaurant added to its convenience. We ordered pork jowl and pork belly, and the quality and taste were excellent. What stood out to me was the variety of four different sauces, allowing us to pair them with the meat according to our preferences. Additionally, the ventilator installed near the grill minimized smoke, ensuring a comfortable dining experience throughout. Unlike the usual ceiling-mounted ventilators, this one was located near the table, making a noticeable difference. Another unique feature was that the restaurant also offered pasta, which is uncommon for a meat-focused establishment! Overall, the efficient system and delicious meat make this a place I would definitely revisit.

We also ordered kimchi stew, which had a moderately spicy kick, and steamed eggs, which were generously portioned but slightly under-seasoned. Despite this, the main attraction—the meat—was so delicious that the overall experience was highly satisfying. This place will definitely come to mind when I want to enjoy barbecue comfortably. The clean and pleasant atmosphere also makes it a great spot for gatherings.

One of the most impressive things about this place is that they check the weight of the meat on the scale in front of the kitchen. Thanks to their trustworthy management style, we could eat there with even more confidence, and it is a restaurant that I would especially recommend to meat lovers. However, please note that the first order must be for at least 3 people! Even if you visit with two people, you should order from 3 people at first, so it is good to know in advance so that you do not get confused. Overall, the meat quality was good, and even the skin was properly grilled, making it a restaurant that gave us a pleasant feeling of fullness and satisfaction. Seonjeongneung is a less popular tourist attraction, but it is a world cultural heritage site that allows you to get a glimpse of the exquisiteness of the Joseon Dynasty's mausoleum area. Let's start with the etiquette system. North Korea follows China's Zhou Li and Book of Rites, and also refers to the Gunwon Mausoleum of the first king Yi Seong-gye. Walking into the Hongjian Gate is like walking into the Japanese Torii, which is equivalent to walking into the sacred area. There are two stone roads, the high one is the Shinto for gods to walk on, and the low one is the Imperial Road for emperors to walk on when offering sacrifices. A T-shaped pavilion for sacrificial offerings was built in front of the tomb. The mausoleums are all located with the Azure Dragon on the left and the White Tiger on the left, backed by mountains and surrounded by them. There are curved walls outside, and the tomb is dug ten feet below the top of the tomb. Next to it are two pairs of stone sheep to drive away the evil things in the world, and two pairs of stone tigers to guard the mausoleum. On the outer edge are the stones of scholars, warriors, and stone horses. After talking about Feng Shui, let’s talk about Seonneung and Jeongneung. Seonneung is the tomb of King Seongjong and his second wife, Queen Jeonghyeon. King Seongjong died at the age of 38 in the Daejojeon of Changdeok Palace due to his efforts in state affairs. Queen Jeonghyeon first raised Yeonsangun, the son of the deposed queen, and later supported her own son Jungjong. She died at the age of 69 in Gyeongbokgung Palace and was finally buried in Seolleung with King Seongjong. However, King Jungjong was not as lucky as his wife who were buried together. At first, the Jeongneung Tomb was built next to the Heileung Tomb of his second wife, Queen Janggyeong. Later, his second wife, Queen Munjeong, moved King Jungjong's tomb to its current location, intending to bury him together. However, due to frequent flooding during the rainy season, they had to build the Taerung Tomb separately. King Jungjong was also buried in four different places with his three queens (Queen Dangyeong, Queen Janggyeong, and Queen Munjeong). The affairs of the imperial family, which were once powerful, also reeked of power struggles. It's located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea, and the transportation is quite convenient. 📍Address: Seonjeongneung is located at 131 Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul ⌚️Opening hours: 6:00-21:00 (from November to February of the following year 6:30-21:00), ticket sales end at 20:00. 🎫Ticket information: 1000 KRW for adults, 500 KRW for teenagers aged 7-18, free for children under 6 and seniors over 65.
