#mountainview After encountering several reposts of drone shots of the Ruyi bridge on IG, I found out that Unitravel, a travel agency based in Hangzhou, was offering trips to to Shenxianju scenic spot. A bunch of friends and I signed up and we were not disappointed at all! We chose to take the cable car and only walked a bit to find escalators taking us further up. That was something none of us have seen before, definitely not on a mountain! We spotted a nice area with chairs and tables, surrounded by a few shops, where we sat and had our own packed lunches. We crossed two bridges before finally spotting the Ruyi bridge. I went to several glass bridges before and that one was indeed, the most impressive. While following the pathway, you’ll come across shops selling beverages and snacks. Fresh air & mountain views, a great combo for a getaway from the city! We walked in the sun for hours and were too exhausted to descend on foot. We chose to take the cable car again. I first spotted this bridge on @beautifuldestinations and immediately added it onto my bucket list. Being the solo traveler that I am; I planned a trip on my own even after noticing that getting there isn’t as efficient. Luckily, the @trip apartment I booked was only 5 minutes walking distance to the scenic area ticket sales office (Shenxianju tourist transfer center). At the scenic area, there’s a cable way option(not free) for people who aren’t necessarily there for hiking but rather the bridge itself or the greenery. After getting off the cable way there’s an outdoor escalator and as soon as you take that step off, that’s when the real hiking begins. Long story short; by the time I got to the bridge I was so exhausted I just took a few pictures, flew my drone and started hiking back to the Cableway. #hiking#nationalpark#urbanexplorer

In winter, the scenic area closes the North Gate hiking and mountain top middle line, so you can only hike up and down the South Gate. Even if you take the cable car up and down, I recommend walking a loop. The pure play time on the mountain is about 2-3 hours, and queuing for the Buddha Shadow Lotus Rhyme takes time. 3. I personally think the best natural scenery in the scenic area is from Hongmeng Bridge to Wolong Bridge, with ups and downs, very spectacular.

The rumor that climbing Xianju Mountain is not tiring is false, but the super long escalator is indeed labor-saving, and the scenery is indeed beautiful! If you choose to enter from the south gate, take the cable car up the mountain, visit Foying Lianyun, Nantian Ladder, and Nantian Top, this route is almost free of climbing and walking, but you will miss too many beautiful sceneries! We took the south up and south down (big circle) route. In the early morning light, I arrived at the Immortal Residence in Taizhou. The mountains were shrouded in mist, creating an ethereal atmosphere that felt like stepping into a fairyland. The mountains were covered in layers of colorful foliage, and waterfalls cascaded down like silver ribbons. The sound of the water was as clear and melodious as a heavenly tune, echoing through the silent valleys as if welcoming distant travelers. As I climbed the winding mountain path, I was constantly greeted by the sight of strange peaks and rocks. The sheer cliffs, resembling heavenly pillars, soared into the clouds, standing majestically and awe-inspiringly, showcasing the extraordinary craftsmanship of nature. From the observation deck, I looked down at the overlapping mountains and the flowing white clouds, which seemed within reach. As I ventured deeper, I discovered a hidden mountain spring. The water was crystal clear, gently flowing and softly striking the rocks, as if whispering. Sitting quietly in the mountains for a moment, I felt the vastness of the world, and my mind became as calm as the water. It was as if all worries were carried away by the wind, leaving behind infinite tranquility and joy. The Immortal Residence is not just a mountain and water paradise, but also a cleansing of the soul. Here, I found harmony between heaven and earth and had a brief encounter with my inner self. 1. I booked my ticket online. Students can enter for free, and adult tickets are CNY 99. 2. I took the cable car (South Entrance) both ways. The cable car costs CNY 65 per person for the uphill trip and CNY 55 per person for the downhill trip. Children under 1.2 meters tall can ride for free. 3. People say that Xianju Scenic Area is a pain-free mountain climb. This is true and false. If you take the cable car, you don't have to climb. The cable car and elevator will take you directly to the top of the mountain. However, once you reach the top, you will have to walk several kilometers. The mountain is not as hot as you might expect, and there is shade from the trees. However, the UV rays are strong. I only realized my neck was sunburned after I came down the mountain. (Remember to protect yourself from the sun.) 4. You can bring a little food, but you don't have to. You can finish the hike and eat after you come down the mountain. Water is not expensive on the mountain. 5. I drove to the scenic area and navigated to the Xianju Scenic Area South Entrance Parking Lot. I parked in the underground parking lot at the South Entrance, so I didn't have to worry about the sun. I parked for five or six hours, and the CNY 15 fee was reasonable. 6. If you take the cable car at the South Entrance, turn right after you get off the cable car and head to Foying Lianyun. Check if there are a lot of people. I arrived at around 8 am, and there were a lot of people. I waited in line and only had to wait in line again when I returned (the only attraction with a line). 7. Is it worth it? I think it is. The photos are great, and many of the bridges are hollow, which is thrilling. Many of the attractions are great. 8. We set off at around 8 am and came down the mountain at around 2 pm.
