Wat Pha Tak Suea, Tambon Pha Tang, Amphoe Sangkhom, Nong Khai
It is a beautiful temple and a famous viewpoint of Nong Khai. There is a Skywalk with a 16-meter-high glass walkway that extends out to allow us to see the view of both sides of the Mekong River, which will give us a panoramic view of Nong Khai City, the Mekong River, Sangthong City and Laos. If you are lucky, you may also see the sea of fog. There is a rule for visiting that is to wear shoes provided by the temple without any charge. But there is a donation box for you to make merit, depending on your faith.
Wat Pha Tak Suea is a temple of the people under the Thammayut sect of monks. The temple was built on a large hill.

This charming town on Mekong is magic
On our weekend travel to Nong Khai from Loei city, we stopped at this magical small town called Sangkhom. It is located in Nong Khai district along the Mekong river.
There are multiple resultants serving mookrata, boar noodles and Isan food. These restaurants have seating towards the river for scenic pictures while enjoying the food.
A little away from the town is the sky walk. Even though it’s very small, the views from the sky walk are simply breath taking. The Sangkhom town can also viewed as a Birds Eye view from the sky walk
I spent 2 hours at this place but I wish to stay more, may be next time. If you are driving along don’t forget to stop by and click few pictures#thingstodo #naturalwonders #couplestrip #travel #riverview #foodie #Thai

Social tourism, Nong Khai Province, the charm of the Mekong River
#Nong Khai attractions If you are looking for a tourist attraction that is not far from Nong Khai city but still maintains the peaceful beauty of nature and culture, Sangkhom District, Nong Khai Province is the place to go. It is another place with a variety of interesting tourist attractions, whether you are a nature lover or a religious lover, you shouldn't miss it! Start at Phan Khod Saen Krai, a new Unseen that you must see with your own eyes. The row of oddly shaped rocks along the Mekong River during the dry season is stunningly beautiful and is also home to rare aquatic plants called "Krai Nam" that cover the rocks, giving you the feeling of walking in another world. Then continue to Wat Pha Tak Suea, experience the spectacular panoramic view of the Mekong River and both sides of Thailand and Laos on the glass skywalk that makes you feel like you are floating in the sky, and pay homage to the sacred objects for good fortune. Next is Huai Phu Isan or Phu Isan, a viewpoint for viewing the sea of mist and the sunrise that is just as beautiful as any other place. In the morning, when the mist covers the valley, you can see a sea of mist as far as the eye can see, an unforgettable image. Ending with an adventure in Tham Din Phiang, a mysterious cave full of stories and beliefs, it is an underground tunnel believed to be a connection to the underwater city. Passing through a small tunnel full of stalactites and stalagmites is an exciting and challenging experience. Sangkhom District is a small district full of hidden charm and beauty, suitable for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle and truly experience nature and the way of life along the Mekong River. #Travel with Trip #Receive a discount without relying on luck #Travel Nong Khai

The first sky walk located in North East Thailand

I did enjoy this small but impressive, glass Sky-walk (with expansive views of the breathtaking Mekong River out to neighbouring Lao PDR) at Wat Pha Tak Suea, in the province of Nong Khai, Northeastern Thailand.
You'll have to pay 20 bahts for some shoe wrap if you want to step out on the Sky walk….
Wat Pha Tak Suea is also a lovely place to visit with the naga and nagi guarding it’s entrance…..
