Tallest building in Taipei
Taipei 101, the world's second tallest building, is Taiwan's most recognizable landmark today. It was the tallest building in the world for six years (2004-2010), until Dubai's Burj Khalifa opened. Although the record has been broken, Taipei 101 continues to take visitors to new heights.
The first thing Taipei 101 reminded me of was a stack of Chinese take-out boxes (Chao fan boxes?). It even appeared to have a chopstick protruding from its roof to me. But that's just one of the numerous pictures it conjures up in people's minds. One of the tower's many symbolisms is its eight sections, each with eight storeys.
And, as you may have guessed, the number eight is considered a very lucky number in many Chinese cultures.

The iconic Taipei 101 🏙️
This is the tallest building in Taiwan and previously the world's tallest architecture, with the postmodern design aesthetic. Besides, insde the shopping centre, you can eventually find stunning decorations or corners that are closely related to the city itself.
🌟 It's simply a must-visited attraction for every tourist traveling to Taipei.
💫 Also, the park within the landmark area is another picturesque location option. 😊

Terrific Taiwan!
Taiwan definitely caught me by a surprise. Although I won’t necessarily recommend coming during summer cause of the incredible heat, it definitely still caught me by surprise.
Rather unassuming but if you took the time to go to the lesser know areas, you will get to experience the more authentic side of Taiwan. Food is great even as a someone who follows a halal diet and many Muslim friendly meals can be found.
Definitely rich in nature and culture and sure is somewhere I will visit more frequently. 5 days was definitely not enough! #travel #taipei #taiwan

Taipei 101 and National Museum Day Trip
It was a day out to Taipei 101 and national museum as they were not too faraway - so we decided to put it in a day trip. As Taipei 101F just reopened, we made a visit there and this time we get to see a magnificent view of Taipei. Weather is good during our visit with no clouds blurring our view so that’s good also we used a discount voucher for a tofu fa at the 89F. After the visit we went down for a tourist photo for the entire 101 building and made way to the national museum.
YOU MUST GO TO THE MUSEUM as it’s huge and well organised with all the historical information and not a boring one as they have interactive games as well for adults and kids! #taipei101 #taipeitower
Taipei 101✨
I had an amazing experience visiting Taipei 101 during my travels. At the top, I was greeted by breathtaking panoramic views of Taipei. The city spread out beneath me, a vibrant mix of modern buildings, bustling streets, and beautiful parks.
Exploring the observation deck, I learned about Taipei 101's innovative design and engineering marvels, like the damper system that stabilizes the building during earthquakes. It was fascinating to see how technology and design could create such a remarkable structure.

Easy and Fun!
Best for First time travellers yet people go for the 2nd time, 3rd time and perhaps limitless. Nothing and no one to blame because this place is in a beautiful city where you can also get to see a lot of eye filling places.
Taipei 101 is known and best place to go when one loves to view the fascinating city of Taipei from a high area.
Taipei 101 could be a best place for viewing, however this high building itself can also be seen on various angles from different areas in the city if someone wants to appreciate the beauty of the building. It's view during the day and in the evening both provide an amazing

Taipei 101 and Surrounding
A visit to Taipei would not be complete without a visit to Taipei 101. As it soars above the city, Taipei 101 is hard to miss from anywhere in the city.
Seeing it up close, it is even more majestic and inspiring. The surrounding area is the glitzy and ultra modern Xinyi district where high end malls and international food brands galore.
Look closer and you’ll find more interesting things like the cherry blossom I saw at this random office building. Near 101 is also a former dependent village that has been conserved and is now a tourist attraction and sells creative goods and has a couple of cafes. The juxtaposition between the past and the present cannot be greater than here. A must visit!

Iconic skyscraper in Taipei
Taipei 101 is a supertall skyscraper in Taipei and was the world’s tallest skyscraper from 2004 to 2009 before Burk Khalifa in Dubai was completed.
There is an observation deck on the top floor. However, do check the weather forecast as it can get very cloudy in Taipei and the you may not be able to have a clear view of the surrounding. It is also a shopping centre where you can get souvenirs or simply dine in at Din Tai Fung.
The sky of Taipei has gained layers and angles because of Taipei 101!
Coming to Taipei, I'm really looking forward to going up to the top floor to enjoy the night view!
1️⃣Scenic spot 1: 89th floor of 101 building.
Bought the summit ticket directly in the lobby on the 2nd floor, later found that the prices on many agent platforms were cheaper, so everyone can compare before purchasing.
Apart from enjoying the night view, upstairs there is the world's largest and heaviest wind damper ball, which is also the world's first wind damper open to visitors for viewing. It is one of the important structures for wind resistance and earthquake resistance of the building! It looks quite impressive on site!
2️⃣Scenic spot 2: Xiangshan
Actually, the most beautiful night view of Taipei is not on the top of the 101 building, because you can't see the building itself. Besides, Taipei doesn't have many tall buildings, and just looking at the flat city itself is not very attractive!
So come to Xiangshan, where you can not only see most of Taipei's urban landscape, but also admire the magnificence of 101. Come here to enjoy the night view, and you definitely won't "step on a mine"!
Xiangshan Trail, with only one entrance, is about a 10-minute walk from the subway station.
We recommend everyone to come around 5:30 pm, where you can enjoy the beautiful sunset and then capture the most beautiful view of Taipei 101 during the blue hour.
Due to the thick clouds that day, we couldn't see the sunset, but the night view was clear and refreshing. There was still a hint of pink in the sky, which was enough!
💃In fact, walking in the center of Taipei, no matter from which angle, you will always see 101! Coming down from Xiangshan and arriving at Xinyi Shopping District, looking up at 101 is even more beautiful!
Recommended check-in: 1 day
Sky view from Taipei 101
Had the opportunity to go up #taipei101 and dine in the clouds, visited one of the offices as a guest and had a great time!
Taiwan is finally open after the COVID pandemic and would-be visitors will be happy to know that Taipei hasn't changed much post COVID, with the sights and attractions still the same and familiar dishes such as stinky tofu and Taiwanese fish tempura still in abundance in night markets around the city.
Will definitely be back :)

Beautiful Light show at night
We happened to be here during the Lantern Festival and there is a light show daily at night. Do check out the hour for the show. It is interesting as you can see all the laser light appearing in the nearby building including Taipei City Hall.
If you have more time, you can also walk around the area which is beautifully lit up at night with all the decorating lightings.

Salt & Stone - Taipei 101
This is an Italian fusion restaurant in Taipei 101 Mall, this is my third visit, however the service this time is not as expected.
They only provide google doc menu, so you have to scan the code and order with the waiters, Ive only ordered a linguine this time, despite the service, their alle vongole is really nice among taipei.

The Tapei 101 Shopping Centre
Taipei 101 is another popular place to visit here in Taipei where this is located at No. 7號, Section 5, Xinyi Rd, Xinyi District, Taipei City, right in the middle of all the high end luxurious shopping district.
There are 2 major things to do here, going up to the top of Taipei 101 observatory to have a view of Taipei City or just the shopping centre below.
The shopping centre here are catered more towards the upscale shopping luxurious brands like luxurious watches, bags, shoes, shirts and many more. But if you are looking for a more budget friendly shopping, you can head to the basement where all the sports apparel brands, food and drinks stalls are located at.
