Walk into a wuxia dream—actual filming location of House of Flying Daggers Step into Shanziwan Bamboo Forest and boom—20-meter tall bamboo towering overhead, sunbeams cutting through the leaves, mossy stone paths… Feels like you just walked into that epic fight scene! Snap a pic at the iconic “十面埋伏” gate, toss your cloak or spin an umbrella—every shot looks like a movie still. Wuxia fans, this is the moment. 2. Chongqing Yongchuan | Natural Oxygen Bar Tea Mountain Bamboo Sea||When in Chongqing, how can you not go hiking! Some friends highly recommended the Tea Mountain Bamboo Sea in Yongchuan, so off we go! 🔛 · 🚗Transportation: 1. It is recommended to drive by yourself, as you can enjoy the scenery along the way and have a broad view all the way to the scenic area 2. For those coming from the main city, you can take the high-speed train (Chongqing-Yongchuan East, 20-30 minutes) and then take a taxi🚖 to the tourist center💰25 yuan/ticket🎫, which goes directly to each scenic spot. It's still a bit far to the main attractions, so save some energy. There's a lot of climbing to do at each spot👀 ⚠️Interlude: When I went during the May Day holiday, there really were no high-speed train tickets to Yongchuan (Chongqing is really crowded during May Day), so I took a hitchhike from the main city🥹 · 📍Tour Route: Baodao Ridge - Ambush from Ten Sides - Cat's Beam - Longquan Mountain - Ancient Village Maze - Tea Bamboo Sky Street - Jinpen Lake Tea Mountain Bamboo Sea is a great place to cool off in the summer❤️ · 🟢Baodao Ridge: Personally, I really recommend going to Baodao Ridge first and then slowly making your way back. Baodao Ridge offers an overlook of the entire Yongchuan district, with an altitude of about 1025 meters. The highest points are the Cloud-Piercing Pavilion and the Yitian Pavilion. ⚠️The entrance is a bit inconspicuous, but the final stop of the bus is Baodao Ridge. It takes about 2 hours to hike Baodao Ridge, depending on your pace. Take it slow and be careful in some areas❗️ · 🟢Ambush from Ten Sides: To be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the check-in photo spot at Ambush from Ten Sides (it's some sculptures), but the whole scenic area is still very worth visiting! The photos are very photogenic, and there are green plants everywhere, which are very pleasing to the eyes. Cat's Beam, Longquan Mountain, Ancient Village Maze, Tiansi Hall... they are basically all together, just follow the route, and you can basically visit them all (when I went, the road to Tiansi Hall was not very good, so I chose to get off at Tea Bamboo Sky Street) · 🟢Jinpen Lake: If you have time, you can also sit by Jinpen Lake, enjoy the breeze, look at the dappled tree shadows on the ground, and space out (due to time constraints, we just took a glance at the entrance) · ❗️Notes: 1⃣️Scenic Area Bus🚌: 25 yuan/ticket, direct to each scenic spot, stops on demand along the way, you can get on at any time, unlimited rides, just tell the driver where you want to stop, very convenient. ⏰The last bus is at 5:30 pm, keep your ticket safe, it will be checked when boarding, don't lose it 2⃣️Hiking Essentials: Mosquito repellent, mineral water, sunglasses🕶️, sun hat, sun protection clothing (there are many mosquitoes in the lush vegetation on the mountain, be sure to protect yourself) 3⃣️About food: There are many stalls along the way, if you're hungry you can buy something to eat Tea Mountain Bamboo Sea
