Wat Pho, Thailand
During this trip to Thailand, we inevitably visited the famous Reclining Buddha Temple.
Its location is very easy to find as it is near Wat Arun. We first visited Wat Arun and then went directly out of the temple to the ferry outside. We took the ferry and then walked directly to Wat Pho. The Reclining Buddha Temple requires a ticket, and it is very large inside, so I think it is well worth the money to visit.
There are many towers and small temples inside the complex. You must take off your shoes when entering and keep quiet, which is a basic courtesy in Thai Buddhist temples. We followed the crowd to the location of the reclining Buddha. I didn’t feel anything special when I saw the photos, but it was very spectacular when I saw it with my own eyes. We walked inside for a long time before we circled the entire Buddha statue. It was very large and it was difficult to capture the entire picture when taking pictures, so we could only use angles to fit the entire Buddha statue into the picture. If you come to Thailand for a trip, don’t forget to arrange this attraction in your itinerary.
