Spent a perfect 4 days in Guilin and Yangshuo viewing the incredible karst mountains, taking things slowly and relaxing in nature and beautiful scenery. There are so scenic spots along the Li and Yulong rivers. We preferred the less crowded spots. Recommend staying in Guilin for 1 night and Yangshuo for 2 or 3. Getting there: Fast train or an airplane directly to the airport. Guilin is a picturesque city in Guangxi, China. From many of the hotel rooftops and balconies you can get really stunning views of the karst mountains and architecture. The two pagodas area is really nice to fly a drone. Or you can see the view from the park or the nearby hotel Lijiang Waterfall Hotel. #guilin

Located just south of the city centre, this nondescript scenic spot is an oasis in an otherwise busy city. Surrounded by urban development, the lake, trees and bridges offer a nice contrast, especially in the evening, where you may even see bats flying overhead! Walking around the lake, there are various different angles to take photos and videos of the two star-attractions here, the twin pagodas sitting on the edge of the lake. They sit majestically in the water and their reflections tricking you into thinking there's 4! Get here just by walking from the hotel or also by bus or taxi. Parking space is limited, so be aware! Guilin is magical at night. The lights dance on surface of the water in different colors. The smells and noises create an ambience of noisy city life and romantic calm. Take a walk along the river or ride a bike. You can even pay a local to ride you around in a tuk-tuk. There are many food and drink options along the river. Take a cab from your hotel or type in “sun and moon pagoda” into Maps and take a late night stroll. The streets are busy with runners and dog-walkers and ladies doing dance routines to beautiful Chinese music. This is a great place for friends, couples, and families. Guilin - These Pagodas are located in the center of Guilin. You need to pay 35¥ to visit them. You can climb them and will find a nice view from the top. There is an underwater tunnel pass between both pagodas. The Sun pagoda, the taller, has an elevator 😃 so you don't need to use the stairs up and down. This is an excellent place for pictures. I went on a weekday at about 5:30 pm, and there were few people. Next to the pagodas and lake, there is a hotel. On the sixth floor, there is a Coffee place or restaurant called Yi Cafe. From there, you have a lovely view of the pagodas on one side and the Elephant Trunk Hill park. The restaurant served western food. It is worth the visit! #guilin

The Sun and Moon pagoda and Moon hill can be visited in one day. The twin pagodas were not originally built in this place but in 2001 they were reconstructed in Guilin. This pagodas must be seen during the day and night. it is totally worthy to visit this place as the sun pagoda is the tallest bronce pagoda in the world!. The moon hill is a rare gift from nature, you can literally see a whole just passing below the summit of the mountain (hence the name). We spent 3 nights at Guilin and spent the one of the most memorable time here. The kids loved it so much that they didn’t want to leave! The scenery is breath taking and they are now my phone and pc wallpaper. The Guilin noodles were very simple yet tasty that even my youngest picky eater couldn’t get enough of it. He keeps wanting to come back here for the noodles. We visited elephant trunk hill briefly as it was very packed and a bit underwhelming. You can see everyone just standing around to take photos and there wasn’t much to do. You can hire a raft to go out and see it up close, but there were other raft activities to do that would be more worth it.

We stayed for two consecutive days😺 and still miss it even after arriving in Yangshuo. 📍Location: Located in the city center📌 next to Elephant Trunk Hill, it is close to many popular attractions and within walking distance of📌 Wenchang Bridge Wharf,📌 East-West Alley,📌 Sun and Moon Twin Towers, etc. We spent two days in Guilin, and there was a lot of delicious food, but it was also very spicy, probably because it is close to Hunan and Guizhou. 🌟There is a Chun Ji Roasted Goose restaurant downstairs in the hotel.
