[Recommended for dates] Tokyo Shinjuku Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 North Observatory A spot where you can see a spectacular view for free in the middle of Tokyo
I would like to introduce the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building No. 1 North Observation Deck" in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
It is a 10-minute walk from Shinjuku Station, an 8-minute walk from Nishi-Shinjuku Station, and directly connected to Tochomae Station, so it is easily accessible from all lines.
This is an observation deck that anyone can enter for free, and from 202 meters above ground you can enjoy the view of buildings and stadiums such as Shinjuku Gyoen, the National Stadium, and Tokyo Opera City.
I visited in April this time, and unfortunately I couldn't see far because of the pollen and yellow sand, but on a clear winter day, if you're lucky you can see Mt. Fuji 🗻✨
It was spring break, so it was crowded with many foreign tourists and there was a waiting line to enter, so depending on the season you go, I recommend that you go with plenty of time.
In addition, this time I visited the North Observation Deck, but the observation decks are divided into the South and North, and each observation deck has different opening hours, so please be careful when visiting.
There are cafes and shops inside the observation deck, so you can take a break and buy souvenirs. 🫶
The surrounding area is lined with skyscrapers, so why not come here to enjoy the view of Tokyo after shopping and eating delicious food?
