Most Delicious Hainan in Surabaya!
This is Wee Nam Kee in Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya (they also have another branch at Galaxy Mall and Pakuwon Mall). My favorite is steamed soy sauce hainan rather than the roasted one, because the meat is more juicy and tender if steamed. But not just hainan, their other menus are all bomb! You should try it!

The bustling city center of Surabaya~ This hotel room is so cost-effective and even comes with a PS5.
When I arrived in the city center of Surabaya, my first impression was that it was very similar to many metropolises in Southeast Asia, with tall buildings, heavy traffic, and a wide variety of goods. People were rushing to and from work, the city was bustling, and business was booming~ What a vibrant scene! Especially the Tunjungan Plaza Shopping Center in the city center, which is the most high-end shopping center in Surabaya. It has everything from clothing stores to cosmetics, and there are many restaurants and cafes in the mall. There is also a cinema on the top floor, which combines entertainment and shopping.
The Sheraton Surabaya Hotel and the Four Points by Sheraton Surabaya, Pakuwon Indah are connected to the shopping center, which is very convenient for shopping, eating, drinking, and having fun~ Especially the cost-effective Four Points by Sheraton, as long as you make a reservation in advance, the room can even be equipped with a PS5, overlooking the beautiful city view while playing games~ This is so cool!

Otaku Room, Hidden inside a Shoestore
This is Otaku Room, it's a cafe hidden inside Atmos Shoestore. The coffee was pretty pricey, 60K for a cup of milk coffee. But it tasted nice indeed. They only serve manual brew coffee but with some choices of worldwide origins of coffee beans.
The place was nice and comfy, quiet and private although inside a bustling and crowded mall such as Tunjungan Plaza. With wooden interiors and collector's items displayed, really accentuate the "otaku" side just like the name.
Such a nice experience!

The Second Biggest Mall in Indonesia
This is Tunjungan Plaza in Surabaya. This mall, which was first built in 1986 is currently the second biggest mall in Indonesia, (with Pakuwon Mall, also from Surabaya, as the number one). I was surprised at first that Jakarta's malls are not even on the top list.
Tunjungan plaza has 6 interconnecting areas (Tunjungan Plaza I-VI) with a total area around 150.000sqm. It has more than 600 tenants, and around 8 levels high.
To be honest, I used to be lost inside this mall, back then when there were just Tunjungan Plaza I-IV, so not as big as it is now. Very embarassing. But luckily I've lived in Surabaya long enough and went here often so it's not a problem anymore.
