Worship the Phra Phuttha Sihing Statue at Wat Ratchapradit
🙏 Wat Ratchapradit Sathitmahasimaram Ratchaworawihan is a first-class royal temple. It was originally a coffee garden near the Grand Palace.
🙏 King Rama IV ordered its construction as a royal temple for the king according to ancient royal traditions and to dedicate it to the monks of the Dhammayutika Nikaya.
🏰 The temple was named Wat Ratchapradit Sathit Dhammayutikanaram, the first temple of the Dhammayut order.
🏰 During the reign of King Rama V, the temple was renovated, and murals were painted inside the ordination hall. Some of King Rama IV's ashes were enshrined in the main Buddha statue inside the ordination hall.
🛕 In the reign of King Rama VI in 1913, two Khmer-style prang-topped palaces were built on the eastern and western bases of the ordination hall.
Significant Architecture:
🏰 The main vihara is built in a Thai style with brick and mortar, adorned entirely with marble. Inside, the Phra Phuttha Sihing statue, a replica of the original Phra Phuttha Sihing at Phutthaisawan Throne Hall, is enshrined. Other notable statues include Phra Chinnasi Noi, Phra Srisatsada Noi, Phra Phuttha Chinnarat Noi, Phra Phuttha Sihing Noi, and Phra Nirantarai, one of the 18 statues bestowed by King Rama V.
🛕 Pasan Chedi is a stupa adorned entirely with marble.
🏰 The Tripitaka Palace is a Khmer-style prang-topped palace. The gable of the arch is decorated with bas-relief depicting the Buddha's birth and parinirvana. It is used to store the Tripitaka and various scriptures.
🛕 The Phra Chom Palace is a Khmer-style prang-topped palace. The prang top is adorned with a four-faced Brahma statue. It houses a full-body statue of King Rama IV, life-sized.

🛕 The bell tower is shaped like a crown with Thai-style art patterns, adorned with Chinese porcelain cut and attached in various colors.
