This place was built during the reign of King Mangrai around 1839, which is about 700 years ago today. Later, King Kuena built a tunnel here for Phra Mahathera Chan to use as a place for meditation. Therefore, the inner wall has many passages that can be walked through. There are also old mural paintings inside the tunnel. It is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere for meditation. It is shady and has many big trees. However, we went during a rather dry period, so the photos were not very nice. I recommend going during the rainy season when there is green moss growing on it, so the photos will be beautiful.
