Every smile and frown is among the flowers in the garden.
Smoke lightly on glass leaves, wind like coral flowers of peonies.

Only the flowers of the four-angled plum are visible, but not the leaves.
White hedgehog flowers, gradually blue hydrangeas, and Macron pink reeds.

Walking here.
There are flowers on the dining table.
There are flowers in the teacup shop.

Beijings Hutongs
When in Beijing, I’m sure most people hear about the hutongs. These areas are tiny streets with micro apartments and businesses lining them. Rooftops here are made use of completely and every doorway gives off a quirky feeling.
Wudaoying was the main hutong I spent time in, here I found various cafes - Metal Hands being my favourite, as well as an amazing Mexican style restaurant (Pebbles).
This hutong is located close to Yonghedong (Lama Temple) Exit E. This exit brings you out against the start of the hutong. It’s definitely worth walking down the alley first to take in the area before deciding where to visit for food or drink or shopping.

Who is lazily strolling around Wudaoying in the afternoon?
The temperature is rising, and the number of visitors is decreasing.
Early spring in Beijing is just too perfect for wandering around the hutongs👏🏼
Visiting artsy shops🧨, observing the local life👀, and going to different cafes🧸
Walking from east to west along the sunset-lit Wudaoying Hutong🚶♀️
You might just fall in love with this place unintentionally🤍
·
If you ask which hutong in Beijing has a strong artistic vibe,
Wudaoying surely has a place.
It has almost retained its appearance from ten years ago🎞️
There are many artsy shops and also many old Beijingers living here.
During my many visits here,
The small taverns, those coffee shops☕,
The fashionably dressed, street-strolling, photo-taking artistic youths,
Everything seems as if it's in an old photograph🎈
Yet it's vividly bustling and lively~

【Early Spring Beijing CityWalk Route】
Early spring in Beijing is not too cold anymore, you can set aside half a day to walk and browse through the hutongs. This route I'd like to call the Beijing-flavored CityWalk, sisters, copy this homework!
👉🏻Route: Wudaoying Hutong - Jianchang Hutong - Guozijian Street - Fangjia Hutong - Beiluoguxiang - Drum Tower - Shichahai
The green plant courtyard homestay in Wudaoying Hutong
When I saw this homestay in Wudaoying Hutong, I was attracted by the green plants in their yard.
Especially in the winter season, the yard is still so lush and full of spring, which is really rare.
When I walked into the homestay, I saw the shopkeeper making New Year's decorations, and the pug on the ground was lying leisurely. There was a pillow with his name called Chopper.
The feeling of this homestay is like a sentimental homestay in a quiet ancient alley in Lijiang or Dali, where the owner has opened a warm homestay.
Whether you are traveling alone, with friends or family, if you come to Beijing, it is convenient to stay in Wudaoying Hutong on the edge of the second ring, and you can also feel the local human touch of Beijing.
And next to it is the Yonghe Palace section, which is really good, and there are many coffee shops and gourmet shops in Wudaoying Hutong that are worth visiting.

🚶Let's have a parent-child city walk
The fun of strolling through the hutongs in Beijing is free🆓
In Beijing, strolling through the hutongs is the real deal‼️
Only then can you experience the essence of old Beijing✅
The recent weather☁️is really suitable for going out👍
My happiness is finally back💕
Spring, summer, autumn and winter🌸🍃, each season has its own beauty, walking slowly in the hutong, it feels like time has slowed down💋Compared to the crowded tourists in Nanluoguxiang, I prefer the artistic Wudaoying Hutong, there are many individual shops, you can take your child to stroll around for half a day, check in various small shops👍
Let's follow this romantic guide🧭
Go and encounter your own little happiness💗
🚴♀️Transportation: Exit G of Yonghegong Subway Station, it's very close to the subway exit, it's not recommended to drive there, the hutong is very narrow, it's not easy to park~
🌈Recommended route:
You can go for a walk early in the morning, stop and go~
The subway exit comes out Yonghegong~Confucius Temple~Guozijian~Jianchang Hutong~Wudaoying Hutong these places are relatively concentrated, all can be reached on foot, if you are tired of walking you can also choose to ride, old Beijing hutong riding is a good experience‼️
⚠️Small tips:
1⃣️Many artistic small shops in the hutong can take pictures at the door. I really like the retro coffee bus photo of Specialty Coffee📷It's so photogenic~Take the opportunity to come here for a stroll, slowly feel the original flavor of old Beijing👀
2⃣️The red wall outside Guozijian is also very photogenic, you can take pictures of the beauty of Beijing hutong in early autumn!
Wudaoying hutong
This is by far one of my favorite alleys in Beijing. It's the fourth time I have been there. Take a stroll the alley and visit some of the shops. Have lunch or dinner at the Mexican restaurant or a vegan meal at the newly renovated Veggie Table. Take some of the side alleys for interesting photo opportunities. Be share to be geared up if you're visiting Beijing in the winter
Wudayoaning Alley in Beijing is a hidden gem that unveils itself like strokes on an artist's canvas. Nestled amidst the bustling city, this narrow alleyway resonates with the soul of a bygone era, where traditional Chinese architecture and contemporary art intertwine seamlessly.
As an artist wandering through Wudayoaning, the first thing that captures my attention is the symphony of colors adorning the ancient courtyard houses. Scarlet-red lanterns dangle gracefully, casting warm hues on weathered stone walls. Each step forward reveals intricate wooden carvings, poetic symbols of history etched into the very framework of the alley.
The juxtaposition of old and new becomes a recurring motif. Rustic doorways open into modern art galleries, where avant-garde exhibitions breathe life into the ancient surroundings. It's a dance between tradition and innovation, with the artist's spirit manifesting in every corner.
Inspiration abounds in the faces of local artisans crafting delicate porcelain and weaving vibrant fabrics. The rhythmic clatter of looms becomes a melody, echoing through the narrow lanes. These skilled hands seem to create an artistic continuum, linking the alley's past with its evolving present.
Wudayoaning Alley becomes a palette for artists to paint their narratives. Murals adorn weathered brick walls, reflecting tales of resilience and change. Graffiti intertwines with traditional calligraphy, forming a visual dialogue that transcends time and culture.
One can't help but be enchanted by the aroma of incense wafting from ancient temples, where the spiritual and artistic realms converge. The sacred ambiance serves as a muse, invoking a profound connection between the artist and the surroundings.
In the heart of Wudayoaning, I find a studio space bathed in natural light. Here, artists gather to share ideas, shaping the future of their craft. The alley becomes a living canvas, inviting creatives to contribute their strokes to its evolving masterpiece.
Wudayoaning Alley in Beijing, through an artist's lens, is a vibrant tapestry of history, culture, and contemporary expression. It beckons those with a passion for creation to join in its artistic journey, where the past and present coalesce in a harmonious dance of inspiration.
Hutong Rooftop Cafe: Phoenix Coffee
Take a stroll down Wudaoying Hutong and you’ll find Phoenix Cafe!
This cafe is a great place to grab a coffee or mulled wine in the Beijing winter season. If you’re lucky you can enjoy a snowy view of the hutongs!
The downstairs is cozy and warm if you don’t want to stay outside.
It’s a really nice cafe to visit in warmer weather also!

📸Cute and Artsy Hutong in Beijing ☕️
The Wudaoying Hutong is perhaps a quite underrated hutong (alley) right across the road from the Yonghegong Lama Temple.
🌮☕️🧋It is full of various rooftop cafes as well as restauranrs (Mexican, Thai, Chinese, etc.)
This is a perfect place to add to your itinerary after visiting the Lama Temple. Or you could simply visit just this alley for an afternoon lunch/ coffee (or even kombucha) on a rooftop looking at the street and the Temple. There are also lots of small shops selling various local products.
The hutong gets busy, but still not as crowded as some of the other well known counterparts in Beijing, so it makes for a great experience, especially for photography lovers. If you have more time, you could also walk around the adjoining hutongs which aren’t as busy, and get a glimpse of the slow and traditional hutong lifestyle.

Beijing Capital City | Wudaoying Hutong is the most worthwhile shop
wudaoying is a very interesting place, there is not much embarrassment, commercialization is not particularly serious, it is most suitable for the afternoon. Find a favorite shop to sit down and share a few good and literary shops ~
small blackboard
address : Wudaoying Hutong, is a worship school in the Ming Dynasty, called Wudeweiying. It is said that this is the barracks station of the Ming Dynasty. The Hutong is located on the east side of the Beijing Andingmen overpass and is east-west. It is 632 meters in length and 6 meters in width. The road is not long but the export is a hidden shop. It is also worth a surprise for a day.
punching card recommendation
Wudaoying Hutong is worth visiting: hh/
1, save as a grocery store
vintage style shop, very good photo, is a traditional Chinese old thing. Although the storefront is not very large, it is full of old-fashioned old things. Peng Haoxiang's movie "Nail Clipper Devil" also has a view here, so many people come here.
Address: Wudaoying Hutong No. 20
2, Huazhi Plant Aesthetics Laboratory
A short and narrow near the Lama Temple In the alley, a flower shop with a super high value! Ive taken a photo, and Ive taken almost no scraps. There is a small space that looks like a low-key, unobtrusive, both a plant research room and a small gallery of American industrial style.
Address: Wudaoying Hutong No. 19
3, DELIA's International Department Store
vintage is a cost-effective vintage shop, already I have been rooted here for nine years. The owner is a Hong Kong native. The things inside are shopkeepers all over the world. Many second-hand brand-name bags, those bags and shoes are imprinted with the times, but the sense of the times makes them more attractive and quietly watched. Keep your original brilliance and charm. There is also a real envy of the owner of the pursuit of quality of life.
Address: Wudaoying Hutong No. 52
4, hyena coffee
Wudaoying Hutong 70
/ Hh/ places that dog lovers can't miss.
This shop has a total of 8 dogs in the small courtyard of No. 70 Wudaoying Hutong. (But the dogs are not necessarily in the store.) There is a small blackboard at the door to show the dog's name, variety and position. It's so cute! ! The price of entering the store is 50/bit, and the drink can be served. The [Flower Fruit Tea] is very good and is recommended for everyone.
It is in the midsummer, the green tree red wall glazed tile, the bluestone old street to the evening, here is the original charm of old Beijing. If it is winter, change the green leaves into white snow, white snow with red walls
The most tasteful of Beijing, except the Forbidden City, is Beijing Hutong. We went to the Royal Forbidden City at the first stop in Beijing, so today we will experience the atmosphere of the old Beijing market. /
choose the Wudaoying Hutong. Its really great for street shooting!
Address: North of Dongcheng District, Beijing, east of Andingmen Overpass. Metro Line 2 or Line 5 can be used, and Laguna Station G Exit.
Coffee shop, original hand-made shop, vintage shop, restaurant are all available. There are many small shops in the street along the street, which are very easy to produce.
Vatican, save as, as the case, the core of these red stores are quite recommended. We were at the time of save as save as a deposit, but unfortunately this store did not open the door. (Business hours are generally 13 in the afternoon
Wudaoying - Beijing Wenyi Hutong
Address: West Gate, No. 67, Wudaoying Hutong, Andingmen, Dongcheng District, Beijing, China

five camp Formerly known as the Wudewei camp, the battalion was a military unit. The garrison land was also generally called the battalion. In 1965, it was renamed the Wudaoying Hutong.
The current Wudaoying is already the latest petty literary gathering place in Beijing, with a variety of creative shops, cafs, and literary creations.
The street is an ordinary residential area, which combines the life of the city and the fashion.
There are not many tourists here. It is a good choice to come here and find a satisfied coffee shop. Feel this quiet.
Next stop "Nanxun", Xiaoqingxin
Wudaoying Hutong in Wudaoying Hutong, one of the many hutongs with the taste of old Beijing, a small alley, but because of the many tastes here Cafes, restaurants, and become different.
The brick walls and stone tiles with traces of the years are given a fresh temperament by a freshly decorated cafe, restaurant, and original hand-made shop. The old time and the fresh vitality meet here. It also made the current Wudaoying Hutong.
Wudaoying Hutong is now a landmark of the emerging petty bourgeoisie, with a variety of creative shops, cafes, restaurants, cultural and creative shops, etc., and it is next to the residential area, blending the life of the city With fashion trends, so you can find the architectural beauty of the old streets of old Beijing, you can also find a small shop to sit down and enjoy a cup of sweet coffee, enjoy a beautiful afternoon sunset.
Address: North of Dongcheng District, Beijing, east of Andingmen Overpass
Transportation: Subway Line 2, get off at Andingmen Station or Yonghegong Station, Metro Line 5, Get off at Yonghegong Station
surroundings : Wudaoying Hutong is adjacent to Guozijian and Yonghegong. You can put these together and play. There are also Nanluoguxiang and Yantai Xiejie in the vicinity of 1km. You can connect together to a Beijing Hutong tour
play recommendation: here Many creative shops suggest that you can come over after lunch, visit the small shop, choose a rooftop coffee shop with Beijing characteristics, and feel the old Beijing years in "Evil is not pressing".
I am always inexplicably obsessed with tacos. I don't know if it is because of the combination of meat sauce, cheese and tortillas, or because of my appetite, or because of the word I mentioned in my mind. I pulled out the pebble garden with my friends. It is said that the Mexican food in this restaurant is still very authentic, and then I went to Metal Hands Coffee and stole half a day.
When it comes to Beijing Hutong, many people may only know Nanluoguxiang. In fact, Nanluoguxiang is only a place where shops are concentrated. It is a commercial street. It is only a little narrower than Wangfujing Street. It has long since deviated from the connotation and essence of the Hutong, and the formal alley.
Walk in the authentic alley, giving people a feeling of peace and quiet. Many times, except for their own steps, no sound can be heard. The grown-up shouted the child's voice, grinding the scissors and licking the knives, from the end of the hutong to the other end. How can it be hung up with the hutong?
Hutong people's slow and faint life, for many years is like that, like the door pier of the stone carving, the wooden door with the sound of the ring, from ancient times to the present, the traces of history appear everywhere. The old man who was basking in the sun put on his robes and horses, and the sedan chair of the upper house was lifted in the door of the big house.
quiet Beijing Hutong.
I dont know when it started. Some old hutongs in Beijing have gradually become friends new bases for afternoon tea. Wudaoying Hutong is one of them. There are many cafes and restaurants in the long hutong. Every shop has its own merits, whether you are a young artist or a foodie, you can find a place. In the afternoon of winter, about three or two friends eating dessert and drinking afternoon tea are really a beautiful thing in life, let the dessert cure everything.
Wudaoying is a must-see for tourists coming to Beijing. The limelight is second only to Nanluoguxiang, but at the end of Wudaoying, a modified French meal hidden in the old house is rarely known.
This French meal only provides one recipe per day. You can choose A/B package, but you can't order it, but don't worry, the store and chef choose the most seasonal ingredients, so the menu has been changing. What you eat is the freshest.
In addition to the beautiful taste, this French restaurant improved by the old house is also a very Chinese-French combination. It has a Chinese-style house frame and incorporates French elegance. Whether it is lighting or arrangement, you cant feel it. The bungalows in the hutong are more like deliberately old works of art, full of the beauty of the details that make you marvel.
I have never been to Beijing since I have not visited the Hutong. The Hutong culture in Beijing is also the most memorable one before I came to Beijing.
Recommend a good route to Beijing to visit Hutong, starting from Wudaoying Hutong, going to Guozijian Street and Confucius Temple, then going to Nanluoguxiang, there are many main passers-by in Nanluoguxiang, all kinds of food souvenirs along the street. Shop, you can try to buy and eat. There are few Hutongs on both sides of Nanluoguxiang, and there are also old Beijing flavors, such as Maoer Hutong and Yuer Hutong.
If you are a person who likes the hutong, I am afraid I will be visiting for a long time here.
