Wuling is not just a landscape, but a deep breathing experience of the symphony of the four seasons!
I drove up the mountain from Taichung last month. The forest became thicker and thicker along the way. The coolness was accompanied by the fragrance of pine needles, and the whole person relaxed instantly.
When I first stepped onto the Taoshan Trail, the two-leaf pine and coniferous broad-leaf mixed forests on both sides were quiet and peaceful, and I felt like I was entering a forest bathing park. The Taoshan Waterfall at the end has a drop of 80 meters. The mist and sound of water stirred up by the waterfall make people feel cool and happy.
Then I returned to the farm and walked to the Wuling Suspension Bridge. Standing on the bridge, I watched the Qijiawan stream and the cherry landlocked salmon. If I was lucky, I could still see them jumping and jumping in the season. That kind of small happiness made people smile.
In spring, there are cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, and plum blossoms. In summer, there are fruit fragrance and cool green forests. In winter, there are sub-zero snow scenes... The rhythm of seasonal changes is fully presented here. Especially in autumn, the maple red and ginkgo are interlaced with red and yellow, as if entering an autumn fairy tale. Birds are singing and frogs are singing. Occasionally, you can see blue-bellied pheasants or imperial pheasants basking in the forest.

Spring cherry blossoms, peach and plum blossoms
👉🏻Starting from February, cherry blossoms, peach blossoms, and plum blossoms are in full bloom, bees and butterflies are flying, and the fragrance of flowers is surrounded. The atmosphere of Taoshan Trail is extremely romantic .
Summer summer forest bath + alpine fruits
👉🏻The temperature in the forest is stable at around 16°C, which is cool and comfortable. You can also buy seasonal fruits such as peaches, apples, and pears on the farm, which are sweet to the heart .
Autumn maple red ginkgo + Taiwan cherry landlocked salmon appear
👉🏻November-December is the reddest season in Wuling, with red maples and ginkgo paving the valley, and the national treasure cherry landlocked salmon swimming in the Qijiawan Creek .
Snow-covered mountains in winter + Snow-capped mountains
👉🏻High-altitude mountains are covered with snow, and with pine forests and clouds, the picture is so beautiful that it looks like a postcard.

Taoshan Trail → Taoshan Waterfall (about 4.3km/450m climb)
👉🏻The end point is the spectacular 80m high Taoshan Waterfall. Along the way, the pine forest is quiet and the pine needles are fragrant.
Wuling Suspension Bridge + Fish Viewing Platform (reachable in a few minutes)
👉🏻You can see Qijiawan Creek and cherry landlocked salmon on the suspension bridge, which is relaxing and satisfying

👉🏻There are garden landscapes and trails around the visitor center, which are suitable for parents and children and the elderly to take a leisurely stroll
🐾 Ecological and cultural interests
Wuling is rich in birds, and wild emperor pheasants, blue-bellied pheasants, wine-red rosefinch and other rare birds can often be seen, as well as naughty Taiwan macaques, but remember to abide by the 4 rules of "no feeding, no contact, no provocation, and no food exposure" . This is also an important habitat for cherry landlocked salmon. You can watch them swimming from a distance at the fish viewing platform. The farm itself has the cultural background of the Atayal people. It was originally an Atayal aboriginal settlement in the Qijiawan River Basin. It became a popular high mountain scenic spot after the farm was developed.

👉🏻Holidays: Full ticket 160/weekday 130; Discount ticket 100/80; Half ticket 80 yuan, free ticket for children under 6 years old and certain identities .
👉🏻Tickets: 50 yuan for small cars, 80 yuan for large cars, and 10 yuan for motorcycles .
Transportation
👉🏻Self-driving: Take National Highway 6 or 5 in Taichung → Highway 14 → Highway 8 → Highway 7A directly to Wuling Farm.
👉🏻Public transportation: Take bus from Taichung/Yilan to Wuling Farm Station, and transfer to the farm is OK 
Vehicle control during cherry blossom season
👉🏻In February, cherry blossom season opens. You need to apply for a pass or take a special car to enjoy the flowers. Remember to check the announcement first.

Day1: Taoshan Trail + Waterfall + Forest Bath + Strolling around the Farm
Day2: Visit the flower garden, fish viewing platform, slow walk in the farm, fruit picking (seasonal limited), bird watching or snow mountain climbing (mountain climbers)
🎒 Tips:
• Essential: non-slip hiking shoes, warm clothes, camera + filter (cherry blossoms and maple leaves are easy to take pictures)
• A pass is required during cherry blossom season, remember to plan your transportation in advance.
• There are many clouds and fog in the afternoon, and the foggy light feeling is very dreamy when taking pictures.
• Parents and children can choose short trails, and the elders can also walk. There are toilets and pavilions along the way, which are very considerate.
• Rich plant seasons: spring flowers, summer fruits, autumn leaves, and winter snow are all highly recommended.
