The site of Xiangshan Temple is located in Xiangshan Park in Beijing. Xiangshan Temple has a long history. According to records, there were Ji'an and Xiangshan temples in Tang Dynasty. In 1186, the two temples were combined, and Emperor Zhangzong gave the name "Da Yong'an Temple". The Jin, Yuan, and Ming dynasties continued to rebuild Xiangshan Temple. In the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Kangxi secluded Xiangshan as a palace, and Xiangshan Temple became a royal temple. The original Xiangshan Temple was built on the mountain, and it was scattered and neat, and it was once the crown of all the temples in Xishan. To the north of the ancient temple, there is a four-column, three-chamber-style archway on the first road of Yong'an Temple in Xiangshan, and a shopping street is added. In front of the hall, a large white marble screen was added, which was engraved with Guanyin, Puxian, ancient Buddha and inscribed Buddhist scriptures drawn by Emperor Qianlong himself. It is a pity that in 1860 and 1900 the ancient temple was burned by the Anglo-French Allied Forces and the Eight-Nation Allied Forces, respectively. Now only the relics of Zhilehao, Tingfasong, Sarashu Imperial Stele, and Shiping, as well as some ancient pines and cypresses and ancient ginkgo trees, can still be seen. A glimpse of some of the original grandeur.
