This ancient town hanging on the cliff is really worth it. The big waterfall is well-deserved, very photogenic!! About transportation: Take a bullet train directly to "Furong Town" station, there is a bus to the scenic area, or you can take a taxi directly, it is very close in ten minutes! Self-driving can navigate to the "Furong Town Tourist Center" to reach the scenic area parking lot (charged). If you live in a homestay in the scenic area, you can find the homestay owner in advance. Generally, you can park at the door of the homestay. Group tickets: 103 for adults, 60 for children/elderly. Find the homestay owner to book it cheaper, you can ask in advance! Furong Town must check in 1 Guanpu Terrace Scenic Area Viewing Platform Immersive This ancient town hanging on the waterfall overlooks the panoramic view of Furong Town. It was named after the movie "Furong Town" was filmed here. It was renamed Furong Town in 2007. Furong Town is built on both sides of a cliff waterfall, and tourists can stroll from one side of the cliff to the other. If you are visiting Fenghuang Ancient Town, it is recommended that you take a side trip and choose to walk from one side of the cliff to the other side, which takes about an hour to go back and forth. Since Furong Town is a scenic spot, tourists can visit it as a scenic spot, which only takes about half a day. The only thing that can make up for the lack of waterfalls is performance. The ticket to Furong Town is slightly expensive at ¥108. #CyclingChina

Getting to Furongzhen is easy enough though requires several steps if you don't have your own cae. Coming from Zhangjiajie we took a Didi, the high speed rail and then a taxi to the town. You then have to do the reverse to get back. We actually had to have someone call us a taxi from the scenic area since they aren't readily available and there aren't Didi's there. The attraction itself is pretty great. There are a few hiking trails and the one under the waterfall is pretty cool. We also hiked along the cliffs for a great view of the town and waterfall. There are countless restaurants and shops so you could probably spend the whole day there if you we're into that sort of thing, though be ready to pay for it! Foreigners need there passports to enter but it's easy enough otherwise. We have an 8 month old and brought our striller which was a mistake since there are lots and lots of stairs. If you have a little one I'd suggest bring some kind of baby carrier. Overall, a worthwhile daytrip from Zhangjiajie.#furongzhen #daytrip

Thinking back to the time when I visited Furong Town, the impression was unforgettable. Furong Town was formerly known as "Wangcun Town". It is an ancient town with a history of more than 2,000 years. In the 1980s, the movie "Furong Town" starring Liu Xiaoqing was filmed here, so the name of the town was used as the name of the play. There is a forest park in Yongshun County, Xiangxi, Hunan, which is worth a visit. Bu Ermen Forest Park is located on the bank of Mengdong River, 1.5 km south of Yongshun County, with a total area of 30 square kilometers. It is the northern gate of Mengdong River Scenic Area. It features Shiqi, hot springs, stone carvings, and Guanyin worship. The limestone, lotus pond, and eight-figure maps of limestone dissolution are regarded as the magical work of nature. The TV series "Oolong Mountain" and "Xiangxi Yuji" were filmed here. Buddhid Forest Park has a variety of large karst stones, and different stones are spliced into different shapes. Looking up at the sky, the sky is sometimes wide, sometimes narrow and into a line of days. Walking through the stone array, the aroma of the vegetation is refreshing. When I was tired, Xiao Yan closed her eyes and raised her spirits, but she heard the empty mountain birds and the heart entered a world of incomparable purity. Bu Ermen Forest Park is the first national forest park to receive the authorization of the China National Forest Park. It is also one of the Buddhist resorts in Hunan Province. The word "not the second" is a Buddhist term, which is derived from the "Buddhist Dictionary", meaning no difference between each other. Two Gate Forest Park has a stone forest with a set of strange rocks. It is unpredictable, and the narrow roads are intertwined. When you go up and down, you can go to the left and right, and you can drill through the holes. Walk through the forest trails, you can often see the waves on the large stones. This is the wonder that nature has created in countless years, mainly manifested by the erosion of natural phenomena such as rain and wind. Laosicheng Scenic Area is located in Yongshun County, Xiangxi, Hunan Province, and is the seat of the Toast City. Travelling in August in China for people who doesn't like crowds like me. So I am learning to appreciate the moments and places at the edge of tourist attractions. Furong old city is really nice, and I appreciated it more away from the main spots . I also liked the new part where I found this original coffe shop that has a shape of an old tape recorder
