If you have time, it is recommended that you visit it together with Nippon Maru as there are discounts on tickets. Before being decommissioned, the Nippon Maru was a Japanese navigation training ship, a large four-masted Barque-style training sailing ship. The ship was launched on January 27, 1930 at Kawasaki Shipyard in Kobe City, Hyōgo Prefecture. Because of its graceful appearance, it is nicknamed "Pacific White Bird" or "Lady of the Ocean". You can visit the Nippon Maru and learn about the life style of the sailors. When you board the ship, there will be a Japanese tour guide to explain the background and facilities of Nippon Maru, and there are also Japanese guide signs. The museum section tells the story of the entire city development of Yokohama after the war. At the end, there is a high-definition VR immersive video that takes you to explore Yokohama Port from a bird's-eye view. It is definitely worth seeing. Please note that photography is prohibited within the facility.

#YokohamaSightseeing I went to the Yokohama Port Museum! This day was the day of the 100 yen campaign for elementary school students on Saturdays, so I went to the newly reopened museum! There was a simulator inside the museum that children could enjoy, and they enjoyed it like a game 🛳 As a Yokohama resident, I was impressed by the many interesting exhibits, such as the history of Yokohama and the structure of ships. Driving a ship was surprisingly difficult and very exciting! I took the ropeway🚡 on a warm, sunny winter day in Yokohama. It was perfect for when I was strolling around Minato Mirai and felt like walking to Sakuragicho would tire me out. It's in an open area so you can see all around, and the location is excellent. I thought the night view would be beautiful, but it was also great under the blue sky during the day.
