Wenzhou Qinghe Park, where rainbows lie upon the waves and meandering waters are surrounded by the chirping of birds and the fragrance of flowers
Located at the southeast corner of the central urban area of Yueqing City, Wenzhou, there is a wetland park formed by digging lakes and creating islands - Qinghe Park. The park covers an area of about 6,500 mu, of which the water area is approximately 1,050 mu, making it the largest urban wetland park in the Wenzhou area and has been awarded the provincial-level quality comprehensive park honor.
Qinghe Lake is the soul of the park. There are 9 wetland islands scattered across the lake, connected by 8 bridges of various shapes, presenting a beautiful picture of rainbows lying upon the waves and meandering waters.
The park changes colors with the seasons, each vying for beauty. In spring, willows sway gently, and flowers bloom like a sea; in summer, the greenery is lush, and lotus leaves stand tall; in autumn, the colorful woods are like dye, and reed flowers drift like snow; in winter, the water is still and the reflections are clear, as picturesque as a poem.
The most outstanding feature of the park is the tulips, which can compete with Hangzhou's Prince Bay. In mid-February, tulips and daffodils have already reached their peak blooming period, and peach blossoms and early cherry blossoms also reveal their beautiful smiles in the spring breeze. The bald cypress trees, having endured the baptism of the north wind, remain as fiery as flames.
Qinghe Park is also a great place to take children out, with a large water amusement park and a land amusement park by the lake, which can keep the kids entertained for a good half day.
For those who enjoy reading, you can also sit by the lake in the Qinghe Book Garden on a small island in the park, seeking a silent wisdom in the bustling world.
