Palenque / México
Palenque was a Maya city state in the southern Mexico!
this place is amazing to visit! probably the best way to go is to take a flight to Villahermosa and from there take a Taxi to Palenque, there you can find any type pf accommodation, my recommendation is to stay in a good place and enjoy the Mother Earth mean while you are relaxing… Chan-Kah Resort Village is a good option.

Palenque ruins
An absolute must-see when you are in Southern Mexico. The museum at the entrance is quite good too.

Palenque, the secret jewel in the jungle
The Palenque ruins in the Southern Mexico date back to 226 BC and were once a major city of the Maya civilization. Around 2.5 square kilometers of the site has been excavated. The area includes many temples, palaces, and pyramids, and Pyramid XV contains the burial chamber of the red Queen. The massive Temple of inscriptions has the most exquisite carvings I have ever seen . Please noted the ancient site is extremely hot during the afternoon, so you need to bring plenty of water with you and stay in the shade if you can.

Palenque is a historical and cultural city in Mexico and a ruins of the ancient Mayan city.
Although it is not so famous among the many Mayan ruins in Mexico, it is one of my favorite monuments.
Palenque is in the middle of a dense forest, just stepping into it, immediately shocked by the magical buildings in front of him. The main building of
Palenk is a palace and five temples. These buildings are called Palenque Palace, Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Lions, Temple of the Inscription, etc. These are modern archaeologists. Take the name. In fact, most of the ancient Mayan thoughts, beliefs, and ancient memories have been lost and can no longer be recovered.
The inner wall of the Temple of the Sun is engraved with 146 Mayan hieroglyphics, which are still intact. On the base of the pyramid is a magnificent rectangular palace, which is said to be the place where the ancient Mayan priests observed the sky.
At the ruins of the ancient city of Palenque, there is a pyramid made of megaliths. It took decades to build. The tower is 10 stories high. The top of the tower is a platform with a name called "Inscription". The huge building of the Temple, the characteristic inscription temple has a 5-story square tower. This is the place where the priest observes the sky and studies the celestial body. There are many palace-style buildings around the palace, which constitutes a star-shaped moon. Wonderful pattern. The architecture of the
Palenk ruins represents the superb architectural level and craftsmanship of the Maya. It is a vivid portrayal of the Mayan civilization. It is no wonder that Palenque is called "Athens of the United States".
