I went into the store because I smelled the aroma of toasted bread when I passed by. I unexpectedly ate delicious Georgian flatbread at Chinkali House in Poznan. We bought one chicken and mushroom bun (PLN 15) and one beef and pork bun (PLN 15), and asked the store clerk to help cut them in half and share them. They were both delicious. Before leaving by train the next day, I came here to buy lunch on the train. Recommend to those who visit Poznan to try it. #traveldiaries I recently spent a day exploring Poznań’s City Center, and it was an absolute delight! Stary Rynek (Old Market Square) is definitely the highlight, with its vibrant, colorful townhouses surrounding the square and the majestic Town Hall right in the middle. Every day at noon, the famous “Poznań Goats” clock show at the Town Hall is a must-see – it’s free and draws quite a crowd. 🐐 The energy here is amazing, with street musicians, performers, and a fantastic choice of outdoor cafés to sit and soak it all in. For a bit of history, I visited Ostrów Tumski, the Cathedral Island, where the entrance to the Cathedral is only about 10 PLN. The cathedral’s beautiful interiors and the peaceful surroundings by the river make it a perfect spot to unwind. Afterward, I headed to Citadel Park, a huge green space just a short walk from the center – great for a relaxed afternoon stroll. The local cuisine is another reason to love this city. I couldn’t resist trying Rogal świętomarciński, a sweet pastry that’s a local delicacy, and it didn’t disappoint! #summerdestinations This summer, I had the pleasure of exploring the city center square in Poznan, and it was an experience to remember! The heart of the city is filled with life, color, and history. As I walked through the square, I couldn’t help but be captivated by the stunning Renaissance buildings, especially the beautiful Town Hall with its famous billy goats that butt heads at noon—definitely a must-see! The square was buzzing with energy, with street performers, cafes, and locals enjoying the sunny day. The atmosphere here is simply unbeatable. I paid a visit to the Town Hall museum, and for just 12 PLN, I got a glimpse into Poznan’s rich history. Afterward, I wandered around the square, discovering charming little shops and grabbing an ice cream at one of the local spots. The square is surrounded by so many interesting places to visit, like the Royal Castle and the National Museum, both just a short walk away. In the evening, the square becomes even more magical with beautiful lights illuminating the buildings. It’s the perfect spot to just sit down at one of the outdoor cafes, sip on a coffee or beer, and watch the world go by.
