The city that never sleeps on the grassland - Ulanqab Night.
Didn't expect to see such a bustling and characteristic food and amusement street on the grassland. It's hard to see such a bustling night market in Tianjin. I came out for a walk and felt it on the grassland. There are Inner Mongolia specialty snacks, roast lamb head, pot tea, yogurt fried rice, Fengzhen moon cakes, as well as various innovative barbecues, fruit teas, fried mushrooms, all very clean. There are several performances inside, Dunhuang drum dance, Tang Dynasty night banquet, and the dance drama Golden Eagle on the Grassland, which are very worth watching. The night market is very attentive, and I feel that it is seriously building this scenic spot.

【1】Great location
The subway is right outside, Wanda Plaza is downstairs, and the Inner Mongolia Museum is across the road. It's 4.2 km from Hohhot Railway Station, a 10-minute drive, and 11 km from Hohhot Airport, a 22-minute drive.

Each room is equipped with high-end bedding. The sheets and duvet covers are made of skin-friendly cotton. The 1.8-meter bed is equipped with a latex pad. The large and clean double bed is so comfortable.

Ulanqab | The white cottage by Laoli Lake
| The white cottage by Laoli Lake. Ulanqab | The day before, after training at the volcano, we decided to rest at the homestay the next day. It was indeed a great cure.
Indoors
The homestay has about a dozen independent rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide excellent lighting.
Playing favorite music in the room and quietly watching the sunrise and sunset, I loved it. In the evening, staff came to the room to help light the fireplace.
Outdoors
In February, the lake was still frozen, and there was some snow on the grass (watch out for some sheep droppings).
There are some beautiful buildings around the homestay where you can take photos. When we left the next day, we happened to see sheep grazing. It was so cute.
Ulanqab 'Little Iceland', a former niche tourist spot that's now a hit
People thought I went to Iceland when I saw my Moments? In fact, it's a free attraction. From this spot, you can climb high and 'look down on the small mountains', but the most important part is like Iceland—volcanic rock🌋. Some of the scenes are quite special!
🌋 Guli Brainbao Volcanic Geological Site
Guli Brainbao, the name itself is quite amusing. But it's actually in Mongolian, meaning a pile of wood, stone, and earth. Located right next to the Ulanqab city area, it dates back over 25 million years and was formed by the cooling and contracting of lava from volcanic eruptions. It's very magnificent and well-preserved.
📷 Navigation: Just search 'Guli Brainbao' and you'll get there in half an hour
📷 Tickets: Free🆓 Open to the public
📷 Recommendation: Suggested visiting time is about 1h

Ulanqab Off-the-Beaten-Path Spot for Kids | Chayouqianqi Modern Agriculture Industrial Park
✨A niche spot around Jining District of Ulanqab City suitable for taking kids to play—Chayouqianqi Modern Agriculture Industrial Park Digital Center. Located in Chahar Right Wing Front Banner of Ulanqab Time, it serves as a comprehensive practice base for labor education in primary and secondary schools across the city. The park focuses on potato and fruit & vegetable specialty industries, making it super suitable for taking kids to visit, learn about the types and growth characteristics of fruits and vegetables. There is also a children's play area in the park, which is convenient for parents to free their hands.
📍Address: 220 meters northeast of the intersection of Huasai Line and Da'erdeng Avenue in Chahar Right Wing Front Banner, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
🚘Transportation: You can drive there following the navigation, with ample parking spaces at the entrance, making parking 🅿️ very convenient
🎫Ticket: 25 RMB per person, free for children under 1 meter.
✨Useful Information:
✅The park includes a Barefoot Park with a variety of fruit and vegetable vegetation, some of which are accompanied by introductions, satisfying kids' curiosity about exploring plants;
✅The park has scientific knowledge, such as little knowledge about tomatoes, potato varieties, earthquake escape knowledge, etc.;
💯Recommendation: There are two screens in the park, specifically for the popularization of little knowledge about tomatoes. You can interact by touching them, and they will introduce the characteristics of tomatoes in detail according to personal choices. My child loves this very much, played for a long time, and it was here that I learned for the first time that there are black tomatoes, which was quite enlightening‼️
✅The park has various introductions to agricultural tools, helping children understand the use of each tool, which is great!
✅There is a special area for children to play in the park, and if time allows, you can take your kids to play for a while. If you go in to play, you need to bring slippers and non-slip socks.
✅There is a pond in the park with fish in it, and children can bring tools to catch fish.
✅There are rabbits in the park, and both adults and children can try to catch rabbits together. When I went there, I saw many people trying to catch rabbits, and it was quite challenging!

Night in Ulanqab, volcano
The best value for money accommodation for grassland travel.
Day one follow-along tour, expected to stay at the volcano homestay, but once in the city, found that staying in one place allows for visiting a different attraction each day, this hotel is amazing, offering both food and lodging, in Beijing such a big room would cost at least 500 and up~ extremely high cost-performance ratio, the most important is the on-demand service, achieving enthusiastic service.
InternationalJetsetter#22 The Night of Ulanqab
✨ 'One Step West of Beijing - The Night of Ulanqab' is a new night-time landmark in Ulanqab City, featuring a main theme of national trend culture. It brings together elements of ancient charm, night tours, interaction, and scenic check-ins, and is very characteristic of the region and its culture.
📍Address: South side of Ulanqab High-Speed Train Station, Temuqin Road, Inner Mongolia.
🚘Transportation: You can drive there yourself, parking is convenient, just navigate to 'The Night of Ulanqab'.
⏰Time: 17:00-24:00 You can also visit at other times, but the shops are not open for business yet, and you can only enjoy the lights.
✨Ulanqab City is located in the very north of China, in the central part of Inner Mongolia; Ulanqab in Mongolian means 'Red Mountain Pass' and has a civilization history of over 6,000 years. It is an important birthplace of ancient northern Chinese civilization, as well as a key node of the Grassland Silk Road and the Tea Road, giving rise to the Chahar and Durbet cultures.
✨Ulanqab is the only non-provincial capital hub city on the 'Belt and Road' and the China-Europe Railway Express, and one of the 23 key logistics hub cities under national construction. It is a necessary passage from the northwest region to the southeast coast, connecting the three major economic regions of North China, Northeast China, and Northwest China, and is also an important channel from China to Mongolia, Russia, and Europe.
✨It boasts attractions such as the Huitengxile high mountain meadow grassland, the Durbet Great Grassland, and the Wulan Hada Volcano Grassland. These places are suitable for visiting in summer, and I will talk more about them then!
✨Practical Information:
✅There are various snacks on both sides of the street on the right, and when the weather is good, you can eat while walking when you are tired.
✅In the middle of the right-hand street, there is a national style performance and interaction area, with actors performing in national style costumes at scheduled times.
✅The temperature at night in Ulanqab during winter is quite cool, so it is recommended to wear more clothes‼️
✅I went there at night in the summer, because this time was rushed so I went there during the day for a round, but I strongly recommend going there at night when the lights are on, it's very beautiful! If you go there during the day, you won't be able to experience what 'The Night of Ulanqab' really is‼️
✅There is an indoor MAX sports factory of about 5,000 square meters, with high-altitude expansion, sports climbing, slides, and various other play projects, which children really like.
Ice and Snow Love Tourist Special Train check into the hotel for breakfast
The breakfast at the Domon De Haosheng Hotel where the guests of the Ulanqab Ice and Snow Love Tourist Special Train stay is very rich. The organizer has arranged Mongolian ethnic specialty foods, and there are also breakfast varieties that northerners like to eat, such as fried noodles, pancake guozi, soy milk, and fried dough sticks. It can be said that the consideration is meticulous. off your breakfast
