Qingdao MGM Hotel This time I visited Qingdao and stayed at the Qingdao MGM Hotel, and I was really satisfied! The hotel is located in Laoshan District by the Yellow Sea, just a 10-15 minute walk to Shilaoren Beach. Right across are Jinshi Square and Jinding Square, making dining and shopping super convenient. Super comfortable stay 🛏️ I stayed in a side sea view king room. The room was really spacious and very warm. The room facilities were excellent, including a Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet, capsule coffee machine, plus free mineral water and snacks. What surprised me the most was the amazing view from the large floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a beautiful sea view that was truly healing! Super satisfying meals 🍜 The hotel breakfast is a buffet with a wide variety of options, including freshly made wontons, Danish snail rolls, and various Chinese, Western, Japanese, and Korean dishes, all tasting great. Also, the restaurant environment is fantastic, where you can enjoy the beautiful sea view while dining—such a pleasure! Super fun activities 🎉 The hotel’s rooftop has an infinity pool with crystal-clear water and a very quiet environment, perfect for relaxing. The fitness center is also great, open 24 hours with professional equipment. I worked out every day and felt full of energy. Super thoughtful service ❤️ The hotel’s butler service is exceptional. Butler Nora was very attentive, contacting me before check-in to arrange the room and prepare everything I needed in advance. During my stay, she promptly helped with any requests, which was truly touching! Family-friendly 👶 The hotel is very family-friendly, with a dedicated children’s play area and various kids’ facilities, so no worries when bringing children. The staff are patient and proactively help take care of the kids, which is very considerate! Little tips 💡 • The gym is on the 31st floor with an amazing view, so you can enjoy the sea scenery while working out—truly wonderful! • For great photos, I recommend shooting in the hotel lobby or at the rooftop infinity pool, the backgrounds are stunning. • Breakfast is served from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM with a wide variety of options. Discovered a private hot spring guesthouse that's perfect for a date, and I completely fell in love after soaking here. The moment you enter, you're amazed by the exquisite Japanese-style garden. The wooden decor paired with the "Izumo" sign gives a great vibe. The room features tatami design with excellent privacy. Open the window and you can see a Japanese dry landscape garden. The private hot spring pool is just the right size for two people. The carbonated spring water leaves your skin super smooth, and you can adjust the temperature yourself. The front desk staff will help prepare kimono, yukata, wooden clogs, and various photo props! There are many yukata styles, and wearing one while casually taking photos in the garden makes for stunning shots. The room is also stocked with a full set of MUJI toiletries. After soaking, applying body lotion feels incredibly comfortable.

If you're planning to visit China, "Qingdao" is a must-see destination! We visited for 7 days and 6 nights at the end of October and want to share our travel experiences, including places to visit and eat. This city is beautiful and so much fun to explore! 🌆📸 We arrived at night, so we only had time to explore the area near our accommodation for food. The real adventure began the next day. Day 1: - Manxin Hotel - St. Michael's Cathedral - Zhanqiao Pier - Daxue Road - Taidong - A seafood restaurant near Taidong recommended by locals Day 2: - A steamed bun shop - Badaguan Scenic Area - May Fourth Square - Olympic Sailing Center - Tsingtao Brewery Museum - Silverfish Street - No.3 Bathing Beach - Zhongshan Road Day 3: - Qinyu Road - Echo Coffee - Xiaoqing Island Park - Yan'er Dao - Xiao Mai Dao (小麦岛) - Shazikou (沙子口): We ended up on the wrong side, but it was still beautiful in its own way. We arrived late, so the light faded quickly, and it was quite cold. Day 4: - Qingshan Fishing Village: Took a DIDI to the park entrance, but only park vehicles are allowed inside. We explored the surrounding area and stopped by Amy Sunshine Café. - Took a bus to the university, then another bus to Yangkou Station (仰口站). From there, walked or took another ride to the Qingshan scenic viewpoint. - Stayed overnight at Anlan Meisu, Lushan, booked last-minute via trip.com. Day 5: - Qingshan Fishing Village - Shazikou (沙子口) - Tsingtao Brewery Museum - Taidong for souvenir shopping Day 6 (last day before heading to the airport): - Longjiang Road - Zhongshan Road - St. Michael's Cathedral - Shopping mall near the accommodation for beer and souvenirs - A braised pork rice shop with multiple branches, offering delicious food at great prices - Ended the trip with mala hotpot near Zhongshan Road Traveling in Qingdao is quite easy. With just Alipay, you can go anywhere, including booking DIDI rides and taking the subway. Transportation costs are very affordable, and cash is rarely needed.
