Phong Nha Caves Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
the asventure capital of asia
According to the City Phong nha is the adventure capital of asia. There are many activities to do. First of all there are the world famous caves and you can do kayaking and hiking. Wildwaterrafting is also very popular at this destination. In the neighborhood are many restaurants and shops. The tour to the caves will coat around 50 $ and you can visit many different ones
Into the Underground
Take a trip down into one of the largest cave systems in the world. Phong Nha National Park is one of the many wonders of Viet Nam. We had the privilege of just doing that and highly recommend you add it to your to do list. The cave systems that are open to the public are very well built with proper stairways and pathways. Park areas are also very clean and have decent toilets. My personal highlight was witnessing the strength of Vietnamese locals who paddle up to 10 or more people down a 1km cave system without breaking a sweat! impressive to say the least. Highly recommend

Phong Nha x Da Nang
Central Vietnam is amazing. It comprises of different natures, and not limited to beaches and caves, but also night markets, cultural village, and even old town. It is a perfect place to enjoy all tourist attractions at one place. Phong Nha is definitely an underrated tourist destination that not many foreigners know about but it has the largest cave in the world which is surprising more beautiful than any other caves I visited. You should check it out.
In 2024, I have planned a trip to Phuket and at the same time, I wish I can visit more underrated tourist destination like Laos, Cambodia, and small” islands in the Philippines. #2024wish

Hang Sơn Đoòng Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Hang Son Doong
#vietnamtrip
The world’s largest cave, Hang Son Doong is so big it’s even got its own localised climate and clouds, a rainforest and a river. Only properly discovered in 2009, the cave is so large a 40-story skyscraper could fit at its highest point and at the widest point a Boeing 747 could glide through easily. Located in the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, less people have seen the inside of this magical cave than have stood at the summit of Mount Everest.
Son Doong, the largest cave in the world, only opened to the public in 2013. The vast expanse could house a 40-floor skyscraper with room to spare. But if you want to explore this cave, located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, be prepared to shell out the big bucks: a four-day expedition costs nearly $4,000.

Is Vietnam on your travel bucket list? It was on mine for the longest time, and a few months ago I finally got the chance to visit! What blew me away the most was the diversity of the landscapes - from the mountains covered in rice terraces, to karst mountains, and last but not least the ocean! Also, of course I can not forget to mention the delicious Vietnamese food. 😉
We spent a total of 12 days exploring around the north of the country, and still that didn’t feel like it was enough. We went to Hanoi, Hàng en Cave (the third largest cave in the world), Sapa, and Bai Tu Long Bay. I will definitely come back to see more of the South of Vietnam. #vietnam #southeastasia #sapa

Son Doong Cave - the largest cave in the world
Son Doong is considered to be the largest cave in the world, based on volume and also the biggest cave in Vietnam, found by Ho Khanh – a Phong Nha jungle man in 1990. In 2009, Hang Son Doong was officially surveyed and measured by the The British -Vietnam Cave Expedition Team led by Howard Limbert. The Expedition team then announced it as the world's largest natural cave with a volume of 38.5 million m3
To explore, you book it in Oxalis website - Oxalis is the exclusively company provide the expedition. The scene is one of the most amazing things Ive seen in life. $3000 is not a small amount but the trip is far more than that. Oxalis service is also perfect.
