Beautiful escape in Jura
Ready for a stunning nature fix? My day in Jura was simply next level! 🍃⛰️☀️ From epic viewpoints to hidden caves, this French escape is pure magic—and here’s how to experience it like a pro:
First up, we hit the Passerelle des Tufs (Qur sur Roches, 39570 Baume-les-Messieurs, France). This dramatic footbridge gives you the dreamiest views over lush waterfalls and turquoise streams. Total IG photo vibes!
Next stop: Belvédère Saint Jean (39210 Rue Saint-Jean, Château-Chalon, France). This viewpoint will have you saying “WOW” nonstop—the entire Jura valley stretches out right in front of you. Unreal panorama alert! 😍
We kept the adventure rolling at the Reculée de Baume les Messieurs (Baume accueil, Baume-les-Messieurs, France). Surrounded by crazy limestone cliffs and green forests, hiking here feels like you’re in a real-life nature documentary.
Don’t miss the Escalier de la Cascade de Baume les Messieurs (Qur sur Roches, 39570 Baume-les-Messieurs, France). This epic staircase leads you right up alongside the cascades—prepare to get misted and love every second of it.
The Baume Caves (Lieu dit les Grottes, 39210 Baume-les-Messieurs, France) are open year-round (10:00–18:00), serving total mystical vibes. Walk through mind-blowing karst chambers—it’s like nature’s own underground cathedral.
We climbed even more at the Escalier de la Grotte and made our final stop at the Belvedere des Roches in Crancot. Both were pure perfection for jaw-dropping Jura landscapes—bring those hiking shoes!
If you’re all about nature, fresh air, and iconic French scenery, Jura is soooo your vibe. Can’t wait to go back for more epic views and chill outdoorsy moments. For travel tips and easy bookings in the area, check out trip.com!

Nestled between the Vosges and Jura mountains, Belfort is a small French city that packs a big historical punch! Dominated by the mighty Lion of Belfort, this charming town offers a unique blend of military history, art, and Alsatian flair.
🦁 Must-See: The Lion of Belfort—a colossal sandstone sculpture by Frédéric Bartholdi (yes, the Statue of Liberty guy!). It symbolizes French resistance during the Franco-Prussian War and is a proud emblem of the city.
🏰 Explore: Climb up to the Citadel of Belfort for panoramic views and wander through its underground tunnels and museums.
🚶♀️ Travel Tip: Stroll through the Old Town to enjoy colorful façades, lively cafés, and the elegant Place d'Armes.
🎨 Bonus: Art lovers, don’t miss the Museum of Modern Art featuring works by Picasso and Léger.
📸 A perfect day trip for anyone exploring eastern France — calm, cultural, and full of photogenic moments.
