So I rented a bike from Blazing Saddles Bike Rentals & Tours in downtown San Francisco and paid $42 for the 3-hour rental fee and ferry fare. 2️⃣ Riding a bike to the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 4-7) Riding a bike to see the Golden Gate Bridge and riding a bike for about 40 minutes will take you to the entrance of the Golden Gate Bridge. There are quite a few uphill sections on the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, but the scenery is so beautiful that it doesn't feel that difficult if you enjoy the scenery. 3️⃣ Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge (Photos 8-10) The Golden Gate Bridge is divided into a bike path, a car path, and a pedestrian path, so you have to choose your path carefully. You can also enjoy the sunset of San Francisco over the horizon while crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. 4️⃣ Sightseeing in Sausalito (Photos 11-13) When you cross the Golden Gate Bridge, you arrive at a small town called Sausalito. Once you arrive, you will be shocked by the endless coastline and the crashing waves, as if you are standing at the end of the world. This place is super romantic, I recommend everyone to go under the lighthouse and experience it! Remember to pay attention to its opening hours, it closes at 4pm. Chimney Rock Trail Head This short trail takes you along rugged cliffs with great views. If you are lucky, you can also see seals basking on the rocks. You are so lucky! Definitely not to be missed. Cypress Tree Tunnel This is a popular check-in spot and parking can be done on the roadside. It is especially recommended that you take photos at dusk📸. The point bonita Lighthouse is no longer operating but the views from the Lighthouse is breath taking. You will need to walk a short trail before reaching the Lighthouse. Once you're up there, admire the lovely scenery. See waves crashing against rocks, see the beautiful golden gate Bridge from across, and see rock formations and hills. With the blue sky and the sun shinning down on the Lighthouse, I can't help but fall in love with what I see. This place here is picture perfect and do take a jacket with you as the sea breeze can be quite chilly. Enjoy your time at Point Bonita Lighthouse.

Came to San Francisco to see the Golden Gate Bridge and found a perfect spot to sit down and enjoy a coffee ☕️🌉 This place is called Equator Coffees – Round House At The Golden Gate Bridge. Equator Coffees is a local Bay Area specialty coffee brand. It started in 1995 in a garage in Marin County, later growing into its own roastery and coffee shops, with many locations across the Bay Area. They have always prioritized the origin of their coffee beans and sustainable sourcing, and they were also one of the first coffee roasters in California to receive B Corp certification. I ordered their latte this time ☕️. As for the coffee itself, I think it's good and smooth, but not the type that blows me away 😂. However, their cups are really cute with little kittens on them 🐱, which makes for some great photos. But! What really amazed me about this shop is the view 🌁. It's located at the Golden Gate Bridge Plaza on the south end of the bridge, inside a historic, circular Art Deco building. The original Round House Cafe dates back to the 1930s. After Equator Coffees moved in in 2021, they turned it into a coffee shop where you can "drink coffee while looking at the Golden Gate Bridge." I think the biggest advantage of this place is that when it's incredibly windy outside, you can duck into the coffee shop. The wind at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco is no joke; once it blows, your hair gets messy and your face goes numb 🥶. But sitting inside the Round House Cafe, looking through the large windows, you can still see the Golden Gate Bridge very clearly. Sipping a latte while watching the Golden Gate Bridge outside, without having to stand in the wind at all. So if you ask me: "Is this coffee shop worth a special trip?" I might say—the coffee is decent. But if you're already planning to visit the Golden Gate Bridge, I highly recommend making this a stop to see the bridge, rest, and have a coffee 👍. Especially when the weather is cold and windy, I think it's really comfortable. Sometimes traveling doesn't always mean standing in front of attractions to take photos. Renting was straightforward, and the electric-assisted bike performed wonderfully. The ride to the Presidio, across the Golden Gate Bridge, into the Marin Headlands, and down to the Sausalito ferry was enjoyable and not too challenging. The bike’s electric assist made tackling hills easy without losing control. The rental also included all necessary safety gear and accessories, making for a hassle-free experience.

You have to climb 313 steps just to get down to the lighthouse! The view on both sides of the stairs—mountains on one side, ocean on the other—is just stunning! I drove in at 5:10 p.m. in early November (sunset 5:10 — so I caught the lagoon-side glow at 4:40). Walked the 0.5mi from the beach lot to the Estero de San Antonio lagoon mouth. The lagoon — freshwater meeting the bay — went from pewter to a thin band of gold, the estero grass (Carex, Juncus) went copper, and the white Drakes Beach cliffs caught a last orange while the Great Beach beyond fell to blue. A $3.50 clam chowder cup from the café earlier. Mistake: coming in July at 6 p.m. — 8:30 sunset but the marine layer rolls in by 5, you get grey. Another: watching from the Drakes Beach pavement — walk the lagoon spit 400m north, the estero mirrors the drop. Rule: no walking the Great Beach at dusk in winter (sneaker waves, ranger warns); the estero is a bird sanctuary, stay on the spit; no drone (NPS ban). Opinion: Drake's Beach lagoon dusk is the only Point Reyes sunset where the water is both fresh and salt — the estero translates the sky twice, and the cliff just frames the translation. Believe it or not, Crissy Field used to be a former airfield for the U.S. Army, which was shut down after 1974. While under military control, hazardous materials were dumped in the area. However, in 1994, the National Park Service took over and, in collaboration with the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy, worked to restore the site. Finally, Crissy Field was reopened to the public in 2001 in its current form. The park offers several attractions, including beaches, walking and biking trails, stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and wildlife spotting like seagulls and sea lions. It’s a lovely outing spot for the whole family!

We just got back from a 3-night stay at Hotel Caza San Francisco. The hotel's location is very convenient—close to many restaurants, transit options, and within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf. During check-in, the lobby appeared spacious with areas for relaxation and games. Though we didn’t use them, it seemed like a family-friendly environment. Our room had a partial bay view and was both spacious and comfortable. A seagull often hung around outside our window. Despite being in and out frequently, we enjoyed a restful stay.

The photos of this place cannot do it justice. Just across the golden gate and not far from San Francisco, if you have the time I would not miss Muir Woods! We arrived very early in the morning, as soon as the park opened. Us and our small minibus of tourists were the only ones in the whole place. It was so peaceful, just the sounds of the river, wildlife, and unbelievably fresh smelling cool air.
