Hidden gem in the Andaman Sea, Koh Lipe is known as 'Thailand's Maldives' for its crystal-clear waters, powdery white sandy beaches, and unspoiled natural scenery. The island is divided into three main areas: Pattaya Beach, Sunrise Beach, and Sunset Beach, each corner exuding the primitive charm of the island, making it a paradise for diving enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil vacation.
🚀Travel Guide
From domestic departure, first fly to Hat Yai Airport in Thailand, then you can choose to take a small plane to the pak bara pier near Koh Lipe, followed by about a 1.5-hour speedboat ride directly to Koh Lipe. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Hat Yai to pak bara pier, which takes longer but is more economical.
👣Tour Route
- Day 1: Upon arrival, take a stroll on Pattaya Beach to enjoy the stunning first impression of Koh Lipe. In the evening, join a sunset sailing trip to welcome the golden afterglow over the sea.
- Day 2: In the morning, head to Sunrise Beach to watch the magnificent sunrise, then participate in diving activities to explore the colorful underwater world. In the afternoon, you can trek through the island's tropical rainforest to get close to nature.
- Day 3: Spend a leisurely day at Sunset Beach, try kayaking or snorkeling, and in the evening, don't miss the seafood feast and lively night market on Pattaya Walking Street.
📸Must-Visit Attractions
- 🏖️Pattaya Beach: The busiest beach, with lights at night, abundant food, and bars.
- 🌅Sunrise Beach: The best spot to watch the sunrise, peaceful and mysterious in the morning light.
- 🐠Coral Garden: A sanctuary for diving enthusiasts, with colorful coral reefs dancing with tropical fish.

🏡Accommodation and Dining
- Recommended to stay in a seaside cabin, such as Pimalai Resort & Spa, to experience the luxury of living in harmony with nature.
- For dining, don't miss the island's seafood barbecue and authentic Thai cuisine, such as the mango sticky rice at Mango Restaurant, a must-try delicacy.
⚠️Tips to Avoid Pitfalls
- When booking water activities, confirm the qualifications of the business, compare prices, to avoid being overcharged.
- Pay attention to sun protection, as the sun on Koh Lipe is strong, to prevent sunburn.
- Carry enough cash, as there are few ATMs on the island and they charge extra fees.
In this isolated island, every day is a discovery about beauty. Koh Lipe weaves everyone's dream of an island with its untouched purity. Although three days are short, they are enough to make this beauty a lasting memory. When the sea breeze gently blows and the stars dot the night sky, you will know that this is the sea in your heart. Looking forward to meeting each of you who loves life in Koh Lipe.
Libei Island | Found a beach where you can stand and watch the fish
You can bring children to see the fish🐠 Yes, standing up you can see the silver scissor-tailed fish. Walk to Libei Island Pattaya Beach, face the sea, and keep walking to the end on your left hand side. Before 11 am, there are few people, swimming and snorkeling is too comfortable!
That area is really piu bright, with a beach hotel behind it. Before 11 am, there is shade from the trees on the beach, take a blanket and sit under the tree shade for two hours, watching the sea and swimming, such a beautiful time should be spent like this.
The sky is blue, the sea is green, I am free, any moment of heart flutter is not easy, do not neglect it. Libei Island
💞Reasons to Recommend: Majis ini dibina menyerupai Dome of The Rock, terletak di Wilayah Satun. Masjid Alhashimi.

Koh Lipe
The hidden gem of Southern Thailand, the Castle of a Thousand Stones in the Andaman Sea
🌟 Highlights:
Prasat Hin Pan Yod, which means 'Castle of a Thousand Stones' in Thai, is a spectacular formation of over a thousand massive boulders. These grand limestone monoliths are one of Thailand's significant geological relics. The Castle of a Thousand Stones is part of the Satun Geopark, which was designated as a Global Geopark by UNESCO in 2018.
💰 Average cost per person:
A day trip costs 800 Thai Baht. We chartered a boat for 6 people for 9,900 Thai Baht. Remembering the yacht in Seychelles that cost 800 euros without meals, Thailand truly is the king of cost-performance.
🗓 Itinerary:
This attraction must be accessed by boat 🚣 during low tide. You can also see huge jellyfish 🪼 in the water. Nearby, there's a long sandbar 'Dragon's Backbone' that only appears at low tide. If you're still not satisfied, you can go hiking and search for ancient fossils dating back 450 million years.
📝 Tips:
In Thailand, flying a drone requires prior registration and application. Each national park requires a separate application. Flying without permission can result in hefty fines or even imprisonment.

Koh Lipe/This beach satisfies all my yearning for the island
Koh Lipe | This beach satisfies all my yearnings for the island || The beaches of Koh Lipe are all beautiful, but this small beach at the end of Sunrise Beach satisfies all my yearnings and fantasies for island vacation life!
🌊 The sea water is transparent and clear, showing a gradient of blue under the tropical sunshine. You can snorkel just by going down to Sunrise Beach🤿, so I specially bought a snorkeling mask this time. If you find it troublesome, you can also rent it. There are many shops where you can borrow 50 plants for a whole day.
🏖️ The sand is soft and fine, comparable to the white sand beach of Boracay Island. Bring a bath towel and spread it casually, and lie down for a while when you are tired from snorkeling. You can go to 711 in advance to buy some ice drinks. Watch the sea, sleep, chat with my sisters, and have another sip of 🧊ice Coke to fill the holiday atmosphere! The key is that there are many shade areas, good news for those who are afraid of being exposed to the stars!

2024 Spring Festival visa-free trip to Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand
Kuala Lumpur-Langkawi-Lipe Island-Langkawi-Penang-Singapore-Malacca-Kuala Lumpur
The jelly sea and fine sandy beaches of Lipe Island, the modernity and Garden Zoo of Singapore, the world cultural heritage and unique cuisine of Penang and Malacca, the skyscrapers and multicultural fusion of Kuala Lumpur! Delicious food, great drinks, and fun times, experience the New Year atmosphere in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, with a trip that includes land, sea, and air! However, the holiday time is limited, and the visit is rushed, barely getting a glimpse of the largest Chinese community outside of China! Visa-free travel to Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand, smooth entry, worth having!
Koh Lipe in Thailand will satisfy all your desires for an island
Koh Lipe is a small island located in the southernmost part of Thailand. It's a bit of a hassle to get there from Bangkok, requiring a six-hour journey by sea, land, and air (not including waiting time), but it's only a two-hour boat ride from Langkawi in Malaysia. No matter how you get there, the moment you arrive on Koh Lipe, you'll feel that it was all worth it.
The sea water is clear and transparent, the legendary jelly sea, snorkeling can see pink coral, a variety of colorful tropical fish, and the prices on the island are relatively uniform, not particularly expensive. Lying on the beach every day is already satisfying
An experience you can't miss in Lirebei - fresh catch and eat
Set off at 10 a.m., follow the boat captain and start the fishing mode in Lirebei Island. In less than two hours, we have a full catch: grouper, parrotfish, triggerfish... and many other fish that we can't name! 🐠
Fishing is fun, and it's even more satisfying to enjoy the delicacy you caught yourself!
The boat captain took us and our full load of fish to their residential island. We rested in a grass shed on the shore. The captain cleaned all the fish, marinated them, lit a charcoal fire, and started grilling... The sea breeze came with the smell of charcoal smoke and grilled fish - so fragrant! Suddenly, I felt really hungry!
Various grilled fish were served, and the aroma was overwhelming! The captain also brought a plate of sashimi, which turned out to be triggerfish sashimi, what a surprise! Usually in the sea, we are attacked by triggerfish inadvertently, but it's quite delicious when it becomes sashimi!
Grilled fish, sashimi, paired with the chili powder I brought, this meal is 'absolutely perfect' in Chengdu dialect!
High-end ingredients often only need the simplest cooking methods, fresh catch and eat is the best!
Thailand 🇹🇭 Koh Libong‼️ It's perfect for retirement here~
Life on Libei Island is just too leisurely.
Lie on the beach chair by the sea and daydream.
Play with the puppy, or choose to go snorkeling, boating, or surfing.
On the island, there are also commercial streets, restaurants, and Thai massages 💆.
Watch the sunrise 🌅 Watch the sunset 🌄
I really want to retire here...
Koh Lipe, the Maldives of Thailand 🇹🇭, the ceiling of Thai island beaches.
Thai island ceiling, you will really regret if you don't come, regret why you didn't discover this fairy island earlier! This sea is really too beautiful 🥳!
1️⃣Transportation ✈️
It takes 2 hours from Hat Yai to the pier, and then another 2 hours by boat to the island. If you arrive at Hat Yai airport early in the morning, you can take a car directly from the airport to the pier without going to the city. You can buy a car and boat ticket from Hat Yai to Koh Lipe on a certain online shopping platform, which costs about 180 RMB per person for one way. If you are on Phuket Island or nearby islands, you can also take a boat directly to Koh Lipe, which takes about 7 hours.
2️⃣️, Beach 🌊
On the island, there are three beaches in total. The sunrise 🌅 beach is suitable for watching the sunrise, the sunset 🌄 beach is for watching the sunset, and there is also a very lively Pattaya beach. The island is very small, and the main beaches can be reached within a 20-minute walk. Friends who don't want to walk can also take a TuTu. No matter where you go, the fare is 50 Thai baht per person.
3️⃣ Accommodation, 💰expenses
Overall, the consumption on Libei Island is not low, and the prices are slightly higher than other popular islands. 7-11 is 30%-40% more expensive than other places. There are several thousand sea-view rooms and about a hundred hostels on the island. Libei Island is too small, so it is convenient to go to several beaches no matter where you stay.
4️⃣️ Play 🤿
There are many things to play on the island. A day trip to snorkel 🐟 costs about 700 baht per person, and the red coral 🪸 underwater is very beautiful.
Scuba diving with oxygen tanks costs around 2000 Thai baht per dive.
Kayaking is highly recommended, it's super beautiful to paddle on the glassy sea 😍. Friends with drones must bring them along, it's easy to capture stunning footage.
We were very lucky and even saw 💧blue tears. We went out to sea in the evening and saw a sky full of stars✨ at night. When we went into the sea, our whole body was shining with blue tears, like a dream. However, the guide said that this activity is not allowed in Libei, so we had to go secretly. If you want to go, I can recommend the tour to you.
5️⃣️Overall, Koh Lipe truly lives up to its reputation as the ceiling of Thai islands. If you don't have high hotel requirements, like us, you can spend only 2.3 thousand RMB per person for a week of fun! It's really worth going! 😍😍😍
Thailand/Lipe Island/Off-the-beaten-path beautiful island
🚫Libei Island, perhaps many people do not know this name, because it is located at the southernmost point of Thailand, and it is also the most remote geographically. There are many islands in Thailand, Phuket has too many people, Pattaya is too entertaining, and Koh Samui's consumption is slightly higher. Libei Island, which is not inferior to Koh Samui, has become a choice. Libei Island has the title of "Thailand's Little Maldives", and the sea water is especially beautiful.
Libei Island is very, very quiet, and the water is super clean! Everywhere is filled with Maldives blue, it's simply breathtaking!!
.
✈️Transportation:
✔️Method 1: Fly from China to Bangkok, then fly to Hat Yai. Take a 2-hour car ride from Hat Yai airport to the pier, and then take a 2-hour boat ride to Libei (you can choose AirAsia's combined land and sea transportation, or buy tickets all the way by yourself).
✔️Method 2: Fly from China to Kuala Lumpur, then fly to Langkawi. Take a 30-minute car ride from Langkawi airport to the pier, and then continue with a 90-minute boat ride to Rebak Island (no boats available from June to October during the rainy season).
Peak season: early December to the end of February.
Dry season: November to May
Rainy season: from early May to the end of October (can only travel to the island by car or boat from Hat Yai, there is a risk of not being able to go to the island due to strong winds and waves on the day, and the snorkeling route will also be greatly adjusted)
Consumption: There is a 7-11 on the island, but prices are 50% higher than in Hua Hin; Beach massage prices are around 300-400 baht, similar to those in Koh Samui overall.
Island transportation: 1. Mainly by walking. 2. You can also take a tutu car by yourself or ask the hotel front desk to call one.
.
Hotel:
Ko Lipe has three main beaches: Sunset Beach (Hat Pramong), Sunrise Beach (Hat Chao Ley), and Pattaya Beach. The calm and clear waters make Ko Lipe an ideal place for snorkeling, with 25% of the world's tropical fish discovered in the area. I think Sunrise Beach is the most beautiful and recommend booking a hotel in this area, with prices averaging around 300-500 RMB per person per day.
.
Eat, drink, play, and have fun:
Sightseeing of natural landscapes, water sports such as snorkeling and kayaking, boat tours of nearby islands and coral reefs (such as Ko Usen and Ko Kra), drinking and dining, especially fresh seafood on the walking street. You can enjoy the sunrise at Sunrise Beach and the nightlife at Pattaya Beach. You can also go island hopping, fishing, kayaking, sunset sailing, and visit Langkawi and the National Marine Park. But if you get tired of playing, it's convenient to eat in the room. Important! Snorkeling and paddling equipment in the hotel are free to use!
Although Lipe Island is somewhat remote in terms of geography, it is a great choice for both family trips and outings with friends.
Kho Lipe, the first time I saw this small island was in the movie "Mechanic: Resurrection" starring Jason Statham. After watching the movie, I kept looking for this small island and finally found out its name - Lipe Island. It is not an exaggeration to say that it is the Maldives of Thailand. Perhaps for tourists, its popularity is not as high as that of Koh Samui and Phi Phi Island. However, the enchanting island, the blue sea and sky, the beautiful white sandy beaches, and the coral reefs that can be seen everywhere in the sea are enough to prove that this is a small island worth traveling thousands of miles for.
Transportation to Lipe Island
Why do people say it's a long journey to get here? In fact, you need to take all kinds of transportation, including sea, land and air, to reach this small island. It's 950 kilometers away from the capital city, Bangkok. I flew from Bangkok airport to Hat Yai airport in southern Thailand, and I booked a package ticket online in advance. From Hat Yai airport to Pakarra pier, there is transportation available. Of course, you can buy a ticket from the airport to the pier, but it's more expensive. It takes about 2 hours to get from the airport to the pier. After arriving at the pier, you need to wait for the speedboat to arrive. If you have time, you can go to the nearby 7-11 to buy some motion sickness medicine, snacks, beer and sunscreen (you must bring sunscreen). Everything is more expensive than other 7-11 stores, so if you want to save money, you can buy them in advance. It takes about 1 and a half hours to reach Koh Lipe after boarding the ship, which is quite long. After all, you have to pay the price of transportation to reach this paradise. Haha.
After arriving at Koh Lipe, the boat will not directly land on the beach. A transfer station is set up outside the island where all boats must switch to smaller boats to reach the island. The ticket for the smaller boat is 50 Thai baht, and there is also a national park fee to be paid, oh, I forgot whether it is 200 or 300 Thai baht, and then take the smaller boat to shore.
Lipe Island is divided into three main beaches: Sunrise Beach, Sunset Beach, and Pattaya Beach. If you like lively places, you can choose a hotel on Pattaya Beach, which is closer to Walking Street and has the finest sand at night markets. Sunrise Beach and Sunset Beach are relatively quiet. In fact, you can choose any beach. There are tricycles on the island, and each person costs 50 baht per trip. After all, the entire island is not large.
Pedestrian street, here gathers restaurants, massage parlors, bars, travel agencies, as well as 7-11 and ATM machines on the island. If you haven't booked an island hopping tour, you can also choose to buy it here. Eating, drinking, and shopping are all possible. After dinner, you can have a drink at the beach bar and listen to live music, which is also a good choice.
Koh Lipe is also a diving paradise in Thailand. Whether snorkeling or deep diving, you can see the colorful underwater world. You can also participate in island hopping, choose several islands and snorkeling spots to play, and then return to the walking street to enjoy Thai-style massage and lie on the bench to listen to the sea. This is the taste of life in Thailand.
I always thought I wouldn't get tanned, but I didn't bring sunscreen before coming and ended up as dark as charcoal. So for those who are coming, remember to bring sunscreen and a waterproof phone case.
The trip to Libei Island ends here. I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful, cozy, and leisurely little island.
Travel photography 📸 Koh Lipe, Thailand
Thailand's 🇹🇭 islands and beaches are a tropical paradise in everyone's dreams. I recommend a pristine and niche vacation island - Koh Lipe.
Why go? Get away from the world on an island with secluded beaches, where you can live out your "Survivor" dreams. This is Koh Tarutao Marine National Park in southern Thailand. Recently, Biao Ge visited one of its islands, Koh Lipe. The silver, pristine beaches, graceful coconut trees, and magnificent sunsets leave visitors in awe and reluctant to leave.
📍HOW TO GO? As it is located in the southern part of Thailand near Malaysia, there are mainly two routes to get here. One is to fly to Hat Yai, the capital of Songkhla Province in southern Thailand, from major cities in Southeast Asia such as Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, and then rent a car or take a bus to Pak Bara Pier in Satun (about 3 hours), and take a speedboat to the island (about 1.5 hours). The other is to take a speedboat directly from Langkawi, Malaysia to the island (about 2.5 hours). The above speedboats operate mainly from mid-October to mid-April each year.
📆WHEN to go: The cool season of Thailand's Andaman Sea islands is from November to April each year, with sunny weather, cool temperatures, and clear air, making it suitable for travel. The islands are closed from May to October, with few ferries and many resorts closed.
🏌️HOW TO ENJOY? If you are familiar with Thai islands, this is the Pee Pee Island 20 years ago in the hearts of Thai people, which is the Maldives in Thailand. There are still original Mo Ken people (who live by fishing and believe in Islam) on the triangular island with three beaches. Pattaya Beach is the hub for entering and leaving the island. You need to go through customs from Langkawi. The main commercial area on the island is concentrated here, with resorts, restaurants, travel agencies, massage shops, and diving shops. The pedestrian street on the beach is worth a visit and is also the center of nightlife on the island. There are also sunset beach and sunrise beach on the island, which are the favorite of photography enthusiasts. You can watch the spectacular and gorgeous sunrise and sunset of the Andaman Sea on the island, go hiking in the tropical forest, practice beach yoga and meditation, and also go to nearby Adang Island and Rawi Island (Koh Adang & Koh Rawi) for island hopping, snorkeling, deep diving, and visiting the primitive tribe of Mo Ken.
📍WHERE TO STAY? Due to its secluded and low-key nature, besides locals and European and American backpackers, this place has not been overly developed, maintaining the original ecological style of Thailand's native fishing islands. Hotels are mainly concentrated on Pattaya Beach, and those who like photography can stay at the resort on Sunset Beach. Our choice is Lipe Beach Resort on Pattaya Beach, with a moderate price, facing the bay, all are separate small wooden houses, surrounded by lush green trees, and the scenery is good. If the budget is sufficient, you can go to The Cliff Lipe, where each room is built on a cliff, facing the sea with sunset and evening glow, making it the best choice for honeymooners.
The most beautiful seaside bar in the small island of Libe, Thailand, is a sea breeze to sleep late in the afternoon!
Limbe Island is a very suitable island for a holiday. The beach bar is everywhere. The most atmospheric is the Sea La Vie Beach Bar. It is located at Sunrise Beach and faces the sea. The style is especially suitable for taking pictures! The
bar is open during the day and night, but personally feel that the most beautiful is still in the daytime, you can look at the blue sea of tiffany, order a cup of Mojito, and take a nap on the sofa of the bar in the afternoon, no More comfortable than this!
Thai cocktails are cheap and delicious, dozens of RMB one cup, the most recommended is mai pai, Thai special cocktail, every time you go to Thailand to drink. The
bar is very close to the serendipity beach resort on the island and it takes only a few minutes to walk from the hotel.
Libe Island is such a place, there is no hustle and bustle of Phuket, no Phi Phi Island, and it preserves the authentic taste of the Thai island. Coming to Lipe Island with a slow-paced attitude, the city's prosperity has faded, barefooted through the white sand beach, the bottle of beer quietly watching the sunset, diving into the sea and swimming with the turtles, sitting at the night market Look at the strings and watch the stars on the benches on the beach. This summer, I stayed at Libe Island at 6 degrees north latitude, lazy time.
Cliffs, coast, wind, warm wooden house restaurant... Fantastic Thai island night. On the far side of the quiet sunrise beach, the room faces the sea, there is a small swimming pool in the room, while watching the sea, the staff has direct food delivery to the room, the hotel restaurant is also famous on the island, afternoon Its nice to have an afternoon tea at the restaurant!
Libe Island is hidden in the southernmost tip of Thailand. Due to its short development time, it has retained its original appearance and is known as the Little Maldives. This is a small island without cars, and the color of the sea from gradual change from dark blue to peacock blue is amazing. Because it is low-key and beautiful, it is known as one of the best hidden secrets in Tainan.
Libe's underwater scenery is very good, that is, the waves are a bit large, there are many beautiful live corals, so there is a wide variety of fish. The PADI Diving Pass is not only the key to our underwater world, but also a responsibility for divers to protect marine life.
Hai Hai advises not to smear, spray sunscreen to the sea, the ingredients contained in the sun cream will kill the coral, after the coral petrification, the fish will have no home, no food. So protect the corals, protect the marine environment, and do not use sunscreen in the sea.
Love the island's simple and original, with a romantic escape from the world, do not need to do too much Raiders, just blowing the air on the beach every day is very comfortable.
Libe Island is such a place, there is no such thing as the hustle and bustle of Phuket, there is no Phi Phi Island, and it preserves the original taste of the Thai island.
