Lodge Moor - WWII POW Camp
A friend and I made our way to Lodge Moor POW camp one spring. It’s not well marked or preserved in any way. However, in its hay day, it was the largest POW camp in Britain. We did some research and learned that it held about 10,000 prisoners at one point. Off all the historical places I’ve been to, I have to say, this one left the biggest impact. There was definitely a strange feeling on the site itself. Worth a visit if that history peaks your interest.

Don’t mess with Sheff
Sheffield, my home away from home. I will always love this place. There's just something about the hustle and bustle of the city center, the beautiful fountains surrounded by both modern and historical architecture, a flurry of shops and some of my favorite bites to eat that make me feel good just being here. This city is just minutes from the Peak District National Park, and is not somewhere you’ll want to miss.
