The Leeds Liverpool canal that crossed the Pennines in the north of England is one of the perfect sports for this. Gorgeous visit to Salts Mill opened in 1853 - now a museum, gallery, bookshop, restaurant and more. Open to the community for free. Lots of stunning original features from its time as one of UK’s largest working mill.

In this corner of West Yorkshire the historic mills their houses and the cobbled streets remain in tact The townspeople here work together every Christmas to make a living advent calendar in the windows and the mill is now a space for artists and creatures a like #2024wish My 2024 wish is to travel to Zanzibar, snorkeling and spending time in the sea. I'm hoping to enjoy some winter sun and enjoy the different island offerings.
