【Siófok / Siófok Rose Grove (Rózsakert Siófok)】 〜If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by flowers and the lake, this is the place to be〜 I took a quick day trip from Budapest to the resort town of Siófok ✨ My destination this time was the Siófok Rose Grove, a charming little garden right on the shores of Lake Balaton! As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a vibrant display of flowers, mostly in shades of pink. Just strolling through made me feel so lighthearted 🌹 The flowers change with the seasons, which definitely makes me want to visit again at a different time of year ☺️ The grounds are full of quirky highlights and relaxing spots! ・A Torii gate in Hungary?!: I was shocked to find a gate that looked just like a Japanese Torii! I was wondering, "Why is this here?", but as I got closer, I realized it was covered in bugs—a shock in more ways than one! 😂 lol ・Stylish Sculptures: A cool sculpture sits right in the center of the park. You’ll find artistic installations scattered throughout Siófok, so it’s a great spot for art enthusiasts 🎨 ・A Splash Pad for Kids: There’s a fountain where water jets up from the ground. Watching the kids have a blast playing in the water was such a heartwarming sight ⛲️ And right in front of the garden lies the vast expanse of Lake Balaton 🌊 The lakeshore was teeming with ducks, and watching them busily preening their feathers was absolutely adorable 🦆 They even had a vending machine for duck food nearby! Since I saw duck-themed souvenirs and items in local supermarkets, it seems like they’re a bit of a local mascot in Siófok ♡ There are plenty of benches in the shade, so just sitting back and soaking in the views of the flowers and the lake was the ultimate luxury 🌿 💡 Flower Info for the Lake Balaton Area The Lake Balaton area is home to many seasonal flower fields beyond just this rose garden! After getting off at Siófok station, it’s about a 15-minute walk towards the lakeside. ※ This is the most accessible and convenient town to reach from Budapest in the Lake Balaton area!

The Torek bog is located on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, close to Siófok. I didn't expect anything special from the visit, I just wanted to see the observation tower. I was pleasantly surprised, the path was as if I was walking in a green tunnel. It was dense and semi-dark, dark. There were a lot of different insects around me. If you are planning a trip to Mangrove swamps, this is the place where you can try your equipment. In the end, I liked it so much that I went along the trail. From time to time, a road junction led to the lakes, where you could see a beautiful bird sneaking away.
