Authentic, colorful, and delicious, this spot is loved by locals, so timing is key: we arrived at 5:30 PM and had space, but by 6:30 PM it was completely full. Why I loved it: • Pita Bread – bigger than your face! Freshly baked, soft, and perfect for dipping into different sauces. • BBQ Mixed Meat in Copper Pot – a generous mix of lamb, beef, and chicken served over rice. (Personally, I skipped the lamb, but the rest were amazing!) • Chicken Doner Platter – grilled chicken served on a wooden board with veggies, pita, and rice. • Iron Plate Beef – tender beef served over a yogurt-based sauce, rich and creamy without being sour. • Meatpoint Salad – fresh, healthy, and tangy with lettuce, beets, tomatoes, and more. • Pide (Turkish “pizza”) – the cheese pide is outstanding: soft bread packed with melted cheese. I love adding travel to my transit trips, so I recorded my timetable! This time, I once again chose a long 20-hour transit flight in Toronto and enjoyed turning it into a "mini-trip"! 🔥 I arrived at 6:00 PM and departed at 2:00 PM the next day. I left my main luggage at the airport and explored the city lightly! 😉 Recommended for those who want to visit many countries! ⸻ 🛬 6:00 PM Arrival in Toronto I checked my large luggage at the airport and headed downtown with only my essentials! The UP Express took me to the city center in about 25 minutes, which was very convenient. 🌆 7:00 PM Stroll along the waterfront at dusk I went to see the CN Tower illuminated. 🌃 The night breeze was just the right amount of cool, making it a real Toronto experience! 🍴 8:00 PM Dinnertime Enjoyed the Canadian vibe with poutine and craft beer. Since I was tired from transit, I grabbed a quick meal! 🏨 10:00 PM Cambridge Suites, Toronto End the day with a good night's sleep at the hotel! With plenty of food stalls and snack spots, it's the perfect place to enjoy local cuisine. We celebrated my birthday with a weekend at The Ritz-Carlton， Toronto， and it was ideal. The warm hospitality and thoughtful experiences made our stay outstanding! Being pet-friendly was a big plus for bringing our pup Charles. Our gorgeous corner suite offered stunning views of the CN Tower and lake， with a meticulous weekend itinerary by Raveena (props to Raveena). We began with afternoon tea at EPOCH， enjoyed a private cheese cave tour at TOCA， a unique Chef’s Table dinner， and an unexpectedly delightful cooking class. These unique experiences are highly recommended! The next morning was a cozy breakfast in bed followed by a renewing couple’s spa treatment at Spa myBlend. We then joined a fun cocktail-making class at EPOCH， ending with a dinner on the terrace that had an incredible vibe. On our last morning， we took breakfast at the Club Lounge on the 20th floor (a must for its daily five meal presentations and use of the Club Car)， and wrapped the trip with a sailboat ride affording amazing skyline views and a picnic. Back on land， we enjoyed tasty bites at LANO before checkout. Huge thanks to the team for making it a special weekend. We were impressed not only by the suite and views but by the genuine kindness and attention from everyone. Special appreciation to Raveena for organizing the weekend， Chef Alessandro and Zaki from TOCA， Alexis and Jerico from EPOCH， and Patricia from LANO. You all made our stay unforgettable. This time, I visited Toronto, located on the eastern side of Canada! Although not the capital, Toronto is the largest city in Canada. Since I had some free time while visiting a friend, I decided to take a bus about two hours south to see the famous Niagara Falls! ✅ Exploring Toronto Start your day with breakfast 🥞 I grabbed a sandwich from a Korean toast shop near my hotel 🥰 Instead of eating there, I hopped on the subway and headed to Union Station. That’s right! I went to see the CN Tower! A short walk from the station brings you to Olympic Park. This park is a charming spot to enjoy breakfast, and it’s absolutely adorable 🥰 The park is filled with flowers, and the view of the majestic CN Tower from there is breathtaking! You can also get closer to the flower beds for some stunning photos 📸 (I’ve hidden the flowers in my photos so you can experience the beauty firsthand when you visit ☺️) Next, I visited a dessert shop called Beaver Tail, a Canadian favorite for over 50 years! As the name suggests, they serve large chocolate-fried pastries shaped like a beaver’s tail. Take a big bite 😊😊 If it’s your first time, don’t forget to ring the bell 🔔♪ After that, I headed to St. Lawrence Market, a famous market in Toronto. Here, you can buy and taste a variety of items, from Canadian-made cheeses and hams to seafood and souvenirs! Chat with the vendors and try some local delicacies 😊 🕰️ Hours: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM (Tuesday–Sunday) Closed on Mondays! Be sure to double-check the hours before you go! As evening approached and I started to feel tired, I decided to end the day at the famous TORONTO sign! In summer, the sign appears to float on water, while in winter, the area transforms into an ice-skating rink ❤️ It’s fascinating how it changes between seasons. I’d love to visit in winter too! ✅ Exploring Niagara Falls There are several ways to get to Niagara Falls! I took a bus from my hotel, but you can also book a tour or catch a bus from Union Station, Toronto’s largest station. The bus ride to Niagara takes about two hours. The town of Niagara itself is lively and glamorous, with its casinos adding to the charm. From the casino, it’s about a 10-minute walk to a great photo spot 🥰 My recommendation is right in front of Queen Victoria Park! This spot offers a view of both waterfalls simultaneously and is just a 10-minute walk from the Canadian side’s boat tour dock—a prime location 🤭❤️ Find your favorite spot to enjoy the view! ※ About the Boat Tour The boat tour, available during the summer, takes you right to the base of the falls! Normally, boats depart every 15 minutes, but unfortunately, one was under maintenance during my visit, so departures were every 30 minutes. I couldn’t catch the return bus and missed the tour 😢 I recommend purchasing your tickets and checking the boat tour schedule first, then exploring other spots while waiting for your tour time! Also, be prepared to get soaked on the boat 😂 Even in summer, the casino and buses are air-conditioned, so make sure to bring a change of clothes!! ⭐️ How was it? Spent the day exploring around the CN Tower and loved every minute of it. The view from below is just as impressive as the one from the top. Not far from the tower, I came across some old rail tracks that gave the area a cool historic vibe. Nearby, a little hotdog stand caught my eye, so I grabbed a sausage sandwich—loaded with onions, mustard, and all the good stuff. It was way better than I expected!
