Address - Costa Marina Beach Resort Ambiance/Facilities - Highlights - Came early and the views was really good. Low tide in the morning and can usually walk all the way to the barrier then high tide in the afternoon. Food was good and we didn’t have to wait long, the clean up crew was efficient and cleaned up nice. Bathrooms were good and had plenty of stalls for showering and toilets. Avg. Day 1 Arrive as early as possible, then go straight to your resort on Samal Island. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach or exploring the island. Day 2 Check out at noon, then stay as long as you like before taking a ferry back to the mainland. Check in at your hotel in Davao City. Day 3 Hire a car for the whole day. If you start early enough, around 8 AM, then it’s possible to visit Malagos Garden Resort, the Philippine Eagle Center and Eden Nature Park all on the same day. If you want to do the “Sky rides” at Eden Nature Park, then it’s best you visit them in this order: 8-9AM – Drive to Malagos Garden Resort 9-10:30AM – Malagos Garden Resort 10:30-11:30AM – Philippine Eagle Center 11:30AM-12:30PM – Drive to Eden Nature Park 12:30PM-4PM – Eden Nature Park 4-5PM – Drive back to Davao City 5-7PM – Have dinner at Jack’s Ridge The reason why I suggest doing it like this is because the SkyCycle, SkyCider, and SkySwing rides aren’t available until 1 PM on weekdays (Mon-Thurs). For that reason, it’s best to go to Malagos Garden Resort and the Philippine Eagle Center first. If you can make it to Eden Nature Park by around noon, then that would be perfect since the price of admission comes with lunch. If you go over the weekend (Fri-Sun), then it matters less in which order you visit these places since the aforementioned rides at Eden Nature Park are open from 8AM-12NN and 1-4PM. This is one of my favorite beach resorts in the Island Garden City of Samal. Access is very easy as you don’t need to wait in line for hours to ride the barge. You only need to ride their exclusive bangka going to and from their resort and it would ony take around 5-10 minutes. It’s very quiet and peaceful as the tables are arranged distantly to avoid disturbing other guests. A colorful playground immediately welcomes the kids as we enter the resort. The beach is clean and clear as cleaners are working nonstop. There’s a huge seashore where kids can enjoy playing or building sand castles. Lifeguards are positioned in every block. Rooms for overnight stay are also available. There is one villa located in front of the beach which can accommodate 10 pax. Bathrooms are clean and always maintained. Food is delicious and the price is reasonable. There are many workers which makes concerns and orders done quickly. Hof Gorei Beach Resort is located on the southwest of Island Garden City of Samal in Davao. You can go there either by ferry or by car. They have there own ferry in Santa Ana Warf. We took it for free. What makes Hof Gorei unique is each guest is provided with their own butler that will assist you in all your need. We stayed there for 2 nights and 3 days to fully enjoy the place. What I love the most in this place is their dwarf coconut trees. It rare to see one specially growing in the sand. Price per Person - 1000PHP Rating - 10/10 I was happy that my friends brought me here to catch up with each other’s lives. They also have a wifi in the front desk so we were able to bring our work with us, me as Software Tester and 3 VA friends, were able to work effectively. They also have welcome drinks after a boat ride from Waterfront Insular Hotel. The fare is also included with your 1k. If the amount of your food exceeded with what you paid as a group, you will just have to pay the excess.
