The name Xihai comes from the ancient Gaizhou residents’ perspective of the sea based on their own location. After more than three hours of driving, we arrived at the Paishi scenic area. This spot has recently become a popular check-in location online. A small tourist resort has been built here, and some people were swimming in the sea. To fully appreciate the “viewing from the front looks like a ridge, from the side looks like a peak” visual effect, you need an excellent vantage point. The second stop was the famous Boxia Bay Park. Unfortunately, the high temperature, poor lighting, and the colorful lighthouse seen in short video filters were quite different from reality. The lower beach was also crowded with visitors swimming and riding jet skis. After checking into the hotel, we set out again at sunset to visit the Taiyanggou scenic area in Lushun, known for its old buildings. Time was tight, so we only had a brief visit to the Lushun Museum. Built in 1915, this building has been used to exhibit various cultural relics since then. It houses ancient bronze, porcelain, jade, and wooden artifacts, all well represented. The architectural style combining Western and Chinese elements is rare and worth visiting. Even the display cases holding the relics have become relics themselves after a century of history.
