Scotland 4-day tour itinerary! Edinburgh + Highland New Year's guide
Scotland Highland | Highland
The highlands are vast and sparsely populated, completely different from England. The scenery in England is mostly pastoral and gentle, while the scenery in the Scottish Highlands is desolate, rugged and magnificent. 🌬️Even the wind has a taste of freedom💗 The Scottish Highlands can be said to be suitable for travel all year round, and it is also the location of countless magical blockbusters! Especially in winter, the Scottish Highlands with snow as the background are even more poignant and magnificent!

🚗Transportation
❗️The distance between the attractions in the highlands is relatively long, it is recommended to drive or join a group~ The weather in the highlands is unpredictable, everyone must check the weather forecast and prepare rain gear! 👇If you plan to go to Scotland, you must not miss this itinerary. If you are short on time, you can join a group like us. But if you have plenty of time, I recommend driving, especially Loch Ness, you can stay there for one night, it's really too beautiful✌️

⛳Recommended attractions in the Scottish Highlands
1️⃣Windermere Lake District
The scenery here has a kind of "lakeside school" poet's charm, and the lake district under the sunset has a bit more tenderness, feeling that you can sit by the lake and stare at the swans and lake water for a long time.
The lake district is not big, it takes about an hour to stroll around.
.
2️⃣Highland Tour
Glencoe Gorge🚌Harry Potter Train🚌Loch Ness + Three Sisters Mountain
Experienced the typical rainy weather in the highlands,
🚞The Glenfinnan Viaduct is the location of the Hogwarts Express, and there is only a steam train from May to September every year
🦕If you have read the story of the Loch Ness Monster since you were a child, you will be a little excited, and you are full of curiosity about this mysterious black lake.
.
3⃣️One-day tour of Edinburgh
It is worthy of being the "Northern Athens" of the Scottish capital. The combination of medieval classics and modernity has a strong sense of story. No wonder it is the source of inspiration for many authors.
.
4⃣️York🚌
Supermarket bars and Chinese food Diagon Alley also have shops open, very Christmas atmosphere

Lake District, UK: Lake Windermere | The hometown of Peter Rabbit
The Lake District in the UK, as the backyard of the British, has been rated as 'one of the 50 places to go in a lifetime'.
This time we went to Lake Windermere, the largest and most representative of the Lake District. It is the hometown of Peter Rabbit and the filming location of 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban'. It is recommended to go on a sunny day, take a walk along the long Lake Windermere, the scenery along the way is pleasant, and you can also feed the swans and pigeons by the lake.
🏨Hotel environment: Storrs Hall Hotel, a hotel transformed by the Duke of Storrs Hall from his own estate, has a beautiful lake view and is highly recommended.
🍽Dining recommendation: The two most praised restaurants in the Lake District, Porto and Hylton, are actually front and back doors. We later chose Porto, their salad is very delicious, the lamb chops are very tender, the mushroom risotto is a bit salty, but the overall taste is not bad. The key is that the chocolate they give is very delicious.
🌟Highlights:
Harry Potter's same steam train didn't have time to ride this time, but many people recommend going for a ride.
👎Least recommended:
If you are short on time, just skip the boat trip, the lake view is almost the same.
The Lake District by boat,unforgettable!
Had the most incredible boat trip on Lake Windermere this summer! The shimmering waters, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, made for a picture-perfect adventure. As we glided along the lake, the warm sun kissed our skin, and a gentle breeze filled the air. The scenic views of lush hills and charming villages were simply mesmerizing. The peacefulness of the lake and the laughter of friends created unforgettable memories. We even stopped at a quaint lakeside cafe to savor some local delicacies. A day filled with tranquility, beauty, and laughter—truly the highlight of my summer! #LakeWindermere #SummerBoatTrip #MemorableMoments#mytripvlog #mountainview

Daybreak On Lake Windermere England:
Located at the heart of Lake District National Park, Lake Windermere is England’s largest expanse of freshwater.
It is also the perfect place to welcome in a new day during the warm summer months.
It was 4:00am and my boat rocked gently below the parting night sky. The brightest stars were still faintly visible to the naked eye.
The moon’s happy face was about to greet the sun and hail another beautiful day, these two celestial chums never far from one another in the heavens.
I fixed my fishing rod to the side of the boat and gazed up at the last embers of stars as they faded from view.

Lakeside Whispers: A Day Bowness-on-Windermer
#christmastrip Stepped on the shores of Windermere, Bowness exudes an enchanting tranquility. Gazing across the largest lake in England, the mist-kissed mountains framed a picture of timeless beauty. The rhythmic ripples of the water whispered tales of the Lake District's allure.
Strolling along the charming promenade, boat sails flapped in the breeze, beckoning explorers to venture across the serene waters. Bowness Pier stood as a gateway to lake adventures, while lakeside cafes offered respite with panoramic views.
Exploring the Beatrix Potter Gallery, I stepped into the whimsical world of Peter Rabbit, a delightful nod to the literary heritage of the region. As the day unfolded, the sunset cast a golden glow, painting the lake in hues of warmth.
In Bowness-on-Windermere, every moment felt like a poetic stanza in nature's symphony—an idyllic escape into the embrace of England's captivating lake country.
Bowness-on-Windermere: Lakeside Enchantment
Strolled through the enchanting streets of Bowness-on-Windermere, where the village gracefully embraced the shores of the eponymous lake. "Sunset Serenade" unfolded as I wandered along the bustling promenade, the glow of the setting sun casting a warm embrace over the waters. Charming boutiques and teashops lined the streets, their inviting facades adding to the village's allure. As boats gently rocked in the harbor, the distant fells stood as guardians of this idyllic scene. Bowness-on-Windermere, not just a destination but a lakeside sonnet where nature, community, and serenity converged in perfect harmony. #BownessSunsetMagic #LakesideCharm 🌄🍃

Bowness-on-Windermere is a town in South Lakeland, Cumbria, England. Once can take train to Oxenholme then follow by lake district line to Windermere, but i don suggest in this way, is better to have a own transport so you can travel around. I travel here from a 3 days 2 nights tour from rabbies. Arrived here around 5pm, check in hotel, have a coffee, then roam around the area. Good old town feel atmosphere, with old building around, i think it is a smallest cinema i had seen. Vinegar Jones should be the best fish and chips in this area. You can rent a row boat or drive a boat for a fees. I reach late so i take the evening curise at the lake start at 2015hrs for 75 minutes.. £14.30. In the morning, you can takethe yellow, blue or red line cruise around the lake.

🐇 Enchanting Whimsy: World of Beatrix Potter
Stepped into the magical realm of the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, where the charm of Peter Rabbit and friends came to life. "Tales Unfurled" as I explored charming exhibits depicting scenes from the beloved stories. The lush landscapes of the Lake District were recreated with meticulous detail, and the characters seemed to leap from the pages into vibrant, three-dimensional life. The delicate aroma of freshly baked goods from the tearoom enhanced the immersive experience. It was not just an attraction; it was a whimsical journey through the pages of timeless tales, where the spirit of Beatrix Potter lingered in every corner. #PotterMagic #BeatrixInReality 🌳📖

The Northern Line of the train from Manchester to Windermere went on strike for a week, so chartered to the Lake District. The last destination was to the world of Windermere Peter Rabbit. The home location of
rabbit is in the center of Bowness, Windermere town, and it takes an estimated 20 minutes to walk from the train station. Open daily from 10:00 to 4:30 pm, Rabbit World is divided into three parts: museum, gift house and tea room. Tickets for the museum are 7.95. I have to go to the rabbit gift shop to see if I have to travel by boat to the lake. Peter's doll price is expensive, the most lovely is the biggest 135 pounds, equivalent to 1200 yuan, really like it is also powerless, or appreciate it.

Windermere Lake
#familytrips2024
Embarking on a cruise of Windermere Lake with my family was a tranquil voyage through breathtaking natural beauty. As our boat gently glided across the serene waters, framed by the verdant hills and majestic peaks of the Lake District, we were immersed in a sense of peace and tranquility. We marveled at the mirror-like surface of the lake, reflecting the ever-changing hues of the sky above, and watched in awe as graceful swans and ducks glided past our vessel. Along the way, we passed charming lakeside villages and secluded bays, each adding to the picturesque panorama unfolding before us. Standing on the deck, with the cool breeze brushing against our faces, we felt a profound connection to the timeless beauty of nature and the simple joys of being together as a family.
As we bid farewell to Windermere Lake, our thoughts turned to our next family adventure: a journey to the majestic fjords of Norway. There, amidst the towering cliffs and crystalline waters, we hope to embark on a voyage of exploration and discovery. From cruising through dramatic fjords to hiking along scenic trails, Norway promises to captivate our senses and awaken our sense of wonder. It's a destination we envision as a celebration of both the grandeur of nature and the bonds of family that unite us, a journey that will create cherished memories and inspire us to seek out the beauty and adventure that awaits in every corner of the world.

Derwentwater Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Lake District, the backyard of England, find your own British tranquility.
Lake District, the backyard of England, find your own British tranquility.
The Lake District in England is known as the most beautiful backyard of the British people, and also the most beautiful corner of England. It has also been rated by National Geographic as "one of the 50 places you must visit in your lifetime" in the United States.
Lake Windermere
The largest lake in England, surrounded by continuous mountains and isolated villages, picturesque and charming, no wonder it has become one of the most popular lakes in all of England.
Don't miss the opportunity to boat on the lake. We recommend enjoying a cruise along the Windermere Lake, where different lake routes are available to choose from. This way, you can not only boat on the sparkling lake water, but also explore the beautiful towns and unique attractions of the Lake District with local guides.~
Derwent Water in the Lake District
The lake, which enjoys the reputation of "the most picturesque pastoral lake", is tranquil and charming, with clear water like a mirror, the sky and water merging into one, and reflecting the distant mountains and white clouds on the lake surface. It is natural and pure, deeply moving people without any artificial embellishment.
Wast Water, Lake District
England's deepest lake, when viewed from afar, the shimmering surface of Lake Windermere is gently surrounded by thousands of mountains and valleys, reflecting the continuous hills on the lake bottom through the clear water. Walking into the lake, you can see the scattered stones on the lake bottom through the clear water, which is really beautiful! Due to the less convenient transportation in the western part of the lake area and more mountains, there are fewer tourists here than in Windermere.
