The voco Hotel in Jincheng, which opened in September this year, is great.
The voco Hotel in Jincheng Danhe, which opened in September this year
❗️Located in the newly built eastern district, the surrounding facilities are not very complete.
When tourists first arrive, they may feel a sense of loss that the bustling nightlife and food are far away. In addition, due to inertia, they always feel that it is more convenient to stay in the old city to visit attractions. But after I really experienced it, I realized the unique location advantage of this voco.
Jincheng tourism, which was made popular by Black Wukong, has its main attractions distributed in the eastern villages (Yuhuang Temple and Qinglian Temple, etc.) and the northern Gaoping City (Tiefo Temple, etc.), except for the museum in the urban area. The voco Hotel is located in the east of the city, within walking distance to Yuhuang Temple and a smooth taxi ride to Qinglian Temple, saving time and money. The fastest way to Gaoping is by high-speed rail, and voco is just three or four kilometers from Jincheng East Station.
🚝With the high-speed rail station, it is much faster to go north to Changzhi and south to Zhengzhou from voco than from the city.
The benefits of a new hotel are obvious, and it is spotless everywhere. The lobby bar is exquisite, and the details also show the owner's strong strength. The main entrance, facing the huge map of Taihang Mountain, and the combination chandelier that looks like a starburst of iron flowers, all make me feel that it is not out of place to hang a higher-level Huayi here.
Special thanks to the front office manager Anna for her attentive service, everything was arranged properly, and I was upgraded to an executive king room with a bathtub by the window. The room is spacious and elegant, with a fresh style, and the exclusive bright yellow label of voco is everywhere. The hardware is excellent, with electric toilets, automatic curtains, wireless charging, and capsule coffee machines. I can only sigh that the newly built hotels in recent years are all very competitive, which is really cheap for frequent travelers.
Special reminder to diamond members with lounge privileges, the hospitality here is very generous. Since the executive lounge is not open, a 200 yuan voucher is directly given to the western restaurant. Steak or lobster pasta is less than 200 yuan, which is equivalent to free. The part of the consumption that exceeds the limit also enjoys a 15% discount for members. There is no need to worry about your wallet here, just pay attention to your weight.
The breakfast the next day was excellent, with both Eastern and Western styles, and a strong local flavor. Except for the meatball instant noodles that Jincheng people love the most, which are a bit overwhelming, other dishes such as Gaoping yellow pear soup wontons are all delicious.
Finally, I sincerely call on the diamond members of IHG, this voco is getting high scores, don't delay, buy a ticket tomorrow and come quickly.

Zezhou Dai Temple | See a 6,000-year-old ginkgo tree.
| See a 6,000-year-old ginkgo tree. Zezhou Dai Temple, commonly known as Xidamiao, is located in Yedi Village, Nancun Town, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It is the only Dai Temple and Taoist Quanzhen Temple outside of Mount Tai.
Next to Zezhou Dai Temple stands a ginkgo tree, one of the attractions here. According to experts, the tree is at least 6,000 years old, making it one of the top ten largest trees in Jincheng and unique in China. In front of the Dai Temple, the tree's crown spreads out like a giant umbrella. Originally, the tree had eight branches, but six were cut down in the early days of liberation to make desks and benches for the village school, leaving only two branches. In autumn, the leaves turn yellow, and from a distance, it looks like a money tree. Perhaps making a wish for wealth here will be effective.

Jincheng Qinglian Temple | See the stone inscriptions and calligraphy.
| See the stone inscriptions and calligraphy. Qinglian Temple, originally called Xiashi Temple, is located in Xiashi Mountain, north of Sinanzhuang, 17 km southeast of Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. The temple is named after the seated statue of Sakyamuni on a lotus seat. The ancient temple was built during the Tianbao period of the Northern Qi Dynasty and is also known as the Lower Qinglian Temple. The new temple was built in the second year of the Dahe period of the Tang Dynasty and is also known as the Upper Qinglian Temple, as it is located at a higher elevation.
One of the most amazing sights in Qinglian Temple is the ancient cypress tree, which is said to have withered over a hundred years ago. The abbot of the temple decided to cut it down the next day. That night, a young cypress tree climbed up the trunk of the mother tree and wrapped itself around it tightly. The monks saw this and believed it to be a divine sign.
Qinglian Temple also preserves a large number of stone inscriptions, including ten inscriptions from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, with a variety of calligraphy styles, including regular script, cursive script, clerical script, and seal script, which are breathtaking to visitors.
Recommended temples in Shanxi.
New Qinglian Temple: Three courtyards, with a platform in front, and the Tianwang Hall, Sutra Pavilion, Shijia Hall, and Daxiong Hall built on top. The Guanyin Pavilion and Dizang Pavilion are built separately. The temple has ten steles from the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, with a variety of fonts including regular script, cursive script, clerical script, and seal script.

Shijia Hall: Built in the fourth year of the Yuanzhe period of the Northern Song dynasty (1089), with a single-eave hip roof, three bays, and six rafters. The beam frame is exposed, with four rafters and three columns. The brackets are single-layered with five layers, and the brackets and heads are made of bamboo. There are four Song dynasty sculptures.
Luohan Hall: Also known as Guanyin Pavilion, built in the first year of the Jianzhong Jingguo period of the Northern Song dynasty (1101), with a gable roof and three bays. The two-story pavilion has sculptures of Guanyin Bodhisattva, Longnu, Tongzi, and sixteen Arhats, which are Song dynasty relics. The stone stele of the "Luohan Stele Inscription" in the middle of the back wall of the Guanyin Pavilion records the names of sixteen Arhats and five hundred Arhats, with the five hundred Arhats being the earliest recorded.
Child Embracing Mother Ancient Cypress: Over a hundred years ago, the mother cypress withered, and the temple's abbot decided to cut it down the next day. That night, a young cypress climbed up the mother's trunk and tightly embraced it, leaving it behind.
2. Ancient Qinglian Temple: Also known as the Lower Courtyard of Qinglian Temple, it is the site of the Tang dynasty temple, consisting of two halls and a stupa. The main hall and south hall were rebuilt due to severe collapse.

Qingliansi Temple, the only wooden bone mud fetus corner god in China.
🎯 Shanxi, the hometown of ancient buildings, after playing "Black Myth: Wukong", the yearning for Shanxi ancient buildings is even stronger. Finally, I came to the fascinating Qingliansi Temple. This is also one of the locations of "Black Myth Wukong"💫
🕰️ Qingliansi Temple was first built in the Tianbao period of the Northern Qi Dynasty, and its original name was "Xieshi Temple". At that time, Buddhism had spread in the north, and Qingliansi Temple became an important religious place.
There is also an inscription from the first year of Wuding in the Eastern Wei Dynasty on the cliff, which is enough to prove its long history.😎
✨ During the Tang Dynasty, Qingliansi Temple ushered in a glorious period. In the second year of Tang Taihe, the new Qingliansi Temple was established;
In the eighth year of Xiantong, the ancient Qingliansi Temple was renovated and renamed. At this time, Buddhism reached its peak in the Tang Dynasty, and Qingliansi Temple was able to expand.
In the third year of Taiping Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty, the upper courtyard was named "Fuyan Zen Temple", and the lower courtyard was still the ancient Qingliansi Temple, and the two temples were separated from then on.👏
🖼️ The ancient Qingliansi Temple now has a main hall, a south hall and a Ming Dynasty pagoda, as well as the tomb pagoda of Master Huifeng in the Tang Dynasty.
The six colored sculptures on the square Buddha altar in the main hall, Sakyamuni, Anan, Jia Ye, Manjusri and the offering person, still have the Tang style.
The twelve colored sculptures in the south hall are realistic in style and vivid.
The Tang stele "Xieshi Temple Dazhuiyuan Master's Relics" has a picture of the Buddha Hall on the top of the stele, which is a rare physical material in the history of ancient Chinese architecture.💎
🛕 The new Qingliansi Temple includes the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Sutra Depository, the Sakyamuni Hall, the Great Hall of the Great Heroes, the Guanyin Pavilion and the Dizang Pavilion.
The architectural style of the second floor of the Sutra Depository is unique, different from the Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The Sakyamuni Hall, Guanyin Pavilion and Dizang Pavilion were built during the Northern Song Dynasty. Although the latter two and the first floor of the Sutra Depository were renovated during the Qing Dynasty, they are still simple and solemn.👍
💎 It is worth mentioning that the unique corner god of Qingliansi Temple. Only Shanxi in the country has it. The corner god of Qingliansi Temple was made by the "wood bone mud fetus" process 1,000 years ago and has guarded the Sutra Depository for more than 1,000 years.
They have different shapes, some are cute and cute, with their mouths open as if they are telling old stories; some are serious and awe-inspiring, showing great power; some are calm and calm, revealing a kind of tranquility and calmness. The rich imagination of ancient craftsmen is evident in these corner gods.🎊
🎈 Now it is the golden autumn season, Qingliansi Temple is full of incense, and you can pray for peace for your family in Qingliansi Temple. In this ancient temple, feel this kind of tranquility and peace, as if all troubles can be thrown away.💕
If you also love history and love ancient buildings, don't miss Qingliansi Temple.
The ancient wooden carvings of the Tian Gong Ge Lou in Jincheng are unique and have stood the test of time.
📍Address:
Located in Dongnan Village, Jincun Town, 13 km east of Jincheng City
🚗Transportation:
Self-driving, navigate directly to Erxian Temple, arrive at a large T-junction, be sure to pay attention to a small road on the left leading to the village, it is easy to miss.
👍️Main Features:
Erxian Temple is a unique belief in the southeast of Shanxi, and it is dedicated to two young girls. They were a pair of sisters during the Tang Dynasty, born smart and beautiful, lost their mother in their childhood, and although they were abused by their stepmother, the two girls were still very filial and later became immortals. They often appear in the local area to save people from suffering and difficulties. Unfortunately, what we see today, only five are Song Dynasty sculptures, and the other eleven, including the heads of the two immortals, have been stolen at the end of the last century. There is no historical record of the original appearance, and we can only imagine her style through the gorgeous patterns of the statue's clothes.
🎟️Ticket Information:
Free, the cultural relic protection officer is very good, patiently explained, even when we went there at six o'clock, they still accompanied us to watch, and waited for us to finish watching before closing.
Xiaonan Village Erxian Temple
Xiaonan Village Erxian Temple, also known as Jincheng Erxian Temple, is located in Xiaonan Village, Jincheng Town, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. It was built between the 4th year of Song Shaosheng (AD 1097) and the 7th year of Zhenghe (AD 1117). The main body of the main hall, the shrine and the statue are relics of the Song Dynasty. The front hall was rebuilt in the 18th year of Ming Hongwu (AD 1385), and the side halls on the east and west sides are relics of the Ming Dynasty. In the 23rd year of Jiaqing (1817), the Gaojin Temple, Sancang Temple, Xiling Temple, Wudao Temple, General Temple and the east and west corridor rooms were all repaired. Xiaonan Village Erxian Temple has high historical, artistic and scientific value. It is an important physical material for studying the architecture and religious culture of the Song and Jin Dynasties. It was rated as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996.

Jade Emperor Pagoda.
On weekends and holidays, you need to queue at the entrance of the 12 Zodiacs in the Jade Emperor Pagoda. 10 people are allowed in at a time for 20 minutes each. You don't need to queue on weekdays. The colored sculptures in other halls are also very good.
Qinglian Temple.
Qinglian Temple was established in the Northern Qi Dynasty and was once a place where the Buddhist community of the Sui and Tang Dynasties aspired to be, similar to a training base for high monks. It is divided into the upper and lower temples. The lower temple is also called the Ancient Qinglian Temple. It has a pagoda from the Yuan Dynasty and a Shakya Hall with iron railings. Inside are Tang-style colored sculptures. You can see them through the railings. It is said that it was not open before. I happened to meet a teacher who taught archaeology and brought students to see it. I heard a lot of explanations, but I didn't understand it. But I think the skills of the ancients are very good. The modern restoration is done by students from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Because they study Western sculpture, they can't restore the original appearance. The upper temple is called Fuyan Zen Temple. The lower temple was established first, followed by the upper temple. There are no two 1,400-year-old ginkgo trees. The Maitreya Hall also has Tang Dynasty colored sculptures. The hands are damaged. It is said that they don't know what it was like before, so they didn't repair it. Qinglian Temple is backed by mountains and faces the water. It is very beautiful in the sun.

Yuhuang Temple | Black Myth: Wukong Game Filming Location
“The only one in Kyushu, the best in the world” Is the visual impact more shocking than Dunhuang?
🌟 Yuhuang Temple was built in the ninth year of Xining in the Northern Song Dynasty (1076). It is a large and influential Taoist temple in ancient Zezhou and a national key cultural relics protection unit.
❤ With the popularity of the domestic 3A game "Black Myth: Wukong", the filming location of the 28 star constellations in the game - Fucheng Yuhuang Temple has also become popular.
👍 28 Star Constellation Sculpture Group: These paintings are clever, realistic, and exquisite, which are extremely rare in the world.
✅ The statues are all built on brick-built altars, about 1.8 meters high, with rich images and realistic shapes. Each star has a small animal attached to it!
Check in at the Jade Emperor Temple in Zezhou County with "Black Myth: Wukong".
When I walked into the Jade Emperor Temple, it was like stepping into a mysterious historical time and space tunnel.
🏯This ancient temple exudes the charm of years of precipitation everywhere. The architecture is magnificent and spectacular, with flying eaves and painted beams. Every detail shows the superb skills of ancient craftsmen. 😲
🌟The sculptures in the temple are even more amazing. Those lifelike statues have different expressions and postures. Some are solemn, some are kind and gentle, as if telling an ancient story. Each sculpture is a masterpiece of art, making people feel the ancient people's piety for religion and the pursuit of beauty. 💕
🎭Walking in the Jade Emperor Temple, feeling the tranquility and sacredness. Every plant and tree here, every brick and tile, carries the memory of history. It seems to be able to hear the bells echoing thousands of years ago
📜The Jade Emperor Temple is not only a religious holy place, but also a treasure trove of history and culture. It witnessed the changes and development of Zezhou and is an important window for us to understand ancient culture. 💪
🌈This visit to the Jade Emperor Temple made me have a deeper awe of history and art. We should protect these precious cultural heritages
Small Town Leisure Travel | Follow Wukong to Zezhou to See China's Own Constellation Gods!
Only know the 12 constellations of Western astrology?
In fact, we Chinese also have our own constellation gods, and there are as many as 28! Black Myth Wukong brought them to everyone's eyes. I heard that Jincheng Zezhou has already ranked first in the domestic niche travel list during this Mid-Autumn Festival. It seems that the National Day holiday will be even more popular~
📍 Zezhou County Yuhuang Temple
There are many large and small Yuhuang Temples with the same name in various places in Shanxi. Don't get it wrong. Remember to recognize Yudiangou Village, Zezhou County, Jincheng.
The Twenty-Eight Constellations Hall in Yuhuang Temple houses 28 constellations, and each constellation statue has a corresponding animal god. All the sculptures have very distinct Yuan Dynasty artistic characteristics. Whether it is the expression or body language, they are realistic and rigorous. Every colored sculpture seems to come alive, and most of them are full of relaxation, completely different from the sculptures commonly seen in other temples.
Speaking of which, the Twenty-Eight Constellations Hall is just one of the side halls of the Jade Emperor Hall, but now it has become the most popular place in Yuhuang Temple, because the Kangshenlong, who is also popular in Black Myth, is also among them.
📍 Dayang Ancient Town
Dayang Ancient Town, with a history of more than 2600 years, can see almost all kinds of national style elements, ancient buildings/clay sculptures/Tang Sancai/Dou Gong/wood carvings/embroidery/tie-dyeing/copperplate printing/cloisonné/iron flower beating, etc.!
🚄 Transportation tips
Take the high-speed rail directly to Jincheng East Station, take a taxi to Yuhuang Temple about 7km, Dayang Ancient Town about 35km, or take a public bus tourist special line.

I linger in museums and ancient buildings around the world, 'The world is reachable, only emotions are priceless,' reaching every corner of the world, and being moved to tears by the world!

Xiaonan Village Erxian Temple, Jincheng, Shanxi | Paintings and clay sculptures on ancient buildings.
📚Xiaonan Village Erxian Temple is also known as Jincheng Erxian Temple. It was established in the 4th year of the Shaosheng era of the Song Dynasty (1097) and was renovated during the Ming and Qing dynasties. The main hall is a Song Dynasty relic, the side rooms of the main hall are Ming Dynasty relics, and the entrance hall and worship hall are Qing Dynasty relics. The rest of the buildings are replicas.
🏠Layout: The temple faces south and is divided into two courtyards. The central axis includes the mountain gate, entrance hall, worship hall, and main hall, with side rooms and wing rooms on both sides.
Highlight 1: Song Dynasty clay sculptures of the two immortals in the main hall:
The two immortals are unique to the southeastern region of Shanxi. Other gods include Cheng Tang, Hou Yi/Sanzong/Huguo Lingbao Wang, Xia Yu, Cui Fugong, Jiutian Shengmu, and Xianweng, which form the southeastern Shanxi god system. The clay sculptures in the wooden niches of the main hall are original Song Dynasty works and are the only remaining Song Dynasty works of the two immortals in China.
Highlight 2: Song Dynasty heavenly palace:
When visiting ancient buildings in Shanxi, don't just look down, look up. The essence is "in the sky". The main hall retains a Song Dynasty wooden niche. The flat surface is "concave" in shape, with two niches at the back as the main part and symmetrical niches on the left and right at the front. The niches have two layers of eaves, a waistband flat seat with nine ridges on top, and the mountain surface facing outwards. The niches are connected by an arched bridge, with a nine-ridge pavilion in the middle. All the buildings are made of wood. The complex brackets, the loft buildings on the roof, and the bridge across the Milky Way are all stacked up, making it a masterpiece of Song Dynasty small woodwork. Standing underneath and looking up, it feels like you are a grain of sand in time.
Highlight 3: Song Dynasty clay sculptures and Song Dynasty steles in the temple:
The temple originally had 16 Song Dynasty clay sculptures and 2 Song Dynasty steles. The stone tablet of the "Two Immortals Inscription" from the 5th year of the Chongning era of the Song Dynasty (1106) is embedded in the center of the front of the brick-carved god platform in the niche of the hall. It is determined that the niche is a relic from the 5th year of the Chongning era of the Song Dynasty. In the 1990s, more than a dozen clay sculpture heads in the temple were stolen, and they have been remodeled.
Highlight 4: Paintings on the pillars of the worship hall:
The paintings on the pillars of the worship hall are also very exciting. The dragon and phoenix are very vivid. They should have been painted during the Qing Dynasty and have been preserved to this day.

【Exploring the Xidun Jidu Temple in Zezhou: A Timeless Architectural Marvel】
🏰【Exploring the Xidun Jidu Temple in Zezhou: A Timeless Architectural Marvel】🏰
🌿 Imagine standing before an ancient temple, surrounded by Song Dynasty stone pillars and Jin Dynasty halls, as if traversing a tunnel through time. This is the Xidun Jidu Temple in Zezhou, a treasure hidden in the long river of history.
🏰 Entering the Jidu Temple feels like opening a door to the past. The main hall was built in the fourth year of the Xuanhe era during the reign of Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty. Craftsmen of that time used their skillful hands and ingenuity to construct this brick platform hall. It has three bays in width and six rafters in depth, with a front eave corridor, single-eave suspended mountain roof, and a roof covered with gray cylindrical tiles, giving it a solemn and mysterious appearance.
📜 The hall's framework consists of six rafter houses and four rafter beams with three columns. Every detail reveals the wisdom of the ancients. The front eave corridor columns are made of octagonal blue stone, with tapered column bodies and single-eave brackets with four layers of single eaves, each inch appearing so exquisite.
🌟 The middle bay's supplementary brackets are in the form of four layers of single eaves, with a bundle of bucket brackets extending at a 60-degree angle, showcasing the ancient architectural techniques. The absence of brackets on the rear eave design imparts a sense of simplicity.
🔍 The column bases, front eave columns, and beam components of the main hall are original items from the Xuanhe era of the Northern Song Dynasty, witnessing the vicissitudes of history. However, the brackets and some framework are not of Northern Song style; the brackets are from the Jin Dynasty, and the suspended mountain roof shows signs of being shortened, all marking the passage of time.
🌧️ The Jidu Temple is dedicated to the Jidu God. In ancient times, the Ji River, which flowed independently into the sea, was revered alongside the Yangtze River, Yellow River, and Huai River as one of the "Four Rivers." The Jidu God was believed to control clouds, rain, and the harvest of crops, and was highly esteemed by feudal emperors, serving as a guardian deity in people's hearts.
🌟 Come to the Xidun Jidu Temple in Zezhou and experience the awe of traversing a thousand years with me! 🌟
【Zezhou Dai Temple—A Symphony of Ancient Trees and Ancient Buildings】
🌿【Zezhou Dai Temple—A Symphony of Ancient Trees and Ancient Buildings】🌿
🎼 When Goethe gazed at the Strasbourg Cathedral, he heard frozen music. But I, at Zezhou Dai Temple, felt the harmony of time. This is not just a temple; it is a poem spanning millennia, a painting crafted with wood and stone.
📍【Location】Jincheng, Shanxi. Here lies a temple called Zezhou Dai Temple, also known as Yedi Dai Temple. It speaks endless stories without uttering a word. It is a sacred place second only to the Dai Temple of Mount Tai and an important site for the Quanzhen School of Taoism.
🏰 The history of Dai Temple is like an ancient musical score, with the earliest notes tracing back to the Song Dynasty. The main hall, Tianqi Hall, has stone bases, lotus-shaped column bases, and stone pillars marked with the year 1080. The beam structure is a masterpiece from the Jin Dading period in 1187. Every detail is a tender caress of history.
🎭 Facing Tianqi Hall is a stage called Wulou. The stone pillars from the Jin Dynasty and the renovations from the Ming Dynasty give it both the elegance of the Jin era and the splendor of the Ming era. In the May breeze, willow catkins dance in front of the stage, as if time itself is performing ancient stories for us.
🌳 But the most astonishing sight is the ginkgo tree outside the courtyard. It is 6200 years old and still full of life. This is not just a tree; it is a miracle of nature and a witness to the ages. Its presence makes Dai Temple not just a building but a hymn to life.
✅【National Treasure】In 2001, Dai Temple was listed as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units, affirming its historical value.
🎫【Open】There is no ticket barrier here; it is open all day, always welcoming you to listen to this ancient music.
🚗【Transportation】Located 13 kilometers southwest of Jincheng city center, it is easily accessible by car, taxi, or chartered vehicle.
🌟 Come to Zezhou Dai Temple and join me in feeling the echoes of history and listening to the songs of time in the tranquility of ancient architecture.🌟

Fucheng Guandi Temple is located in Fucheng Village, Jincheng Town, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province, and is situated on the east side of the village. It covers an area of 4,200 square meters, and together with the outer courtyard of the Sanyi Temple, which is connected by a moon gate, it covers a total area of 6,000 square meters, with more than 160 halls of various sizes.
In front of the Guandi Hall, there are four stone dragon pillars, which are placed under the wooden carved moon beams. The pillars are more than one foot high and three feet in circumference. On the four stone pillars, there are ten large and small hollowed-out giant dragons carved. The dragon bodies are of various shapes, some are coiled, some are leaping, and some are flying up and down. Among the coiled dragons, there are carvings of the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, the Mother of Lightning, the God of Wind, the God of Thunder, and the God of Rain. The base supporting the dragon pillar is four ferocious round stone lions, which are reflected by the giant dragons. Although these stone pillars have experienced more than 800 years of vicissitudes, they are still sharp and clear.
