The bread course was a standout. So much flavour in something so simple.

Chicken Pad Thai was spot on. Properly tangy and not too sweet. Good portion too. That's all I really need from a Thai place in Ambleside.

Been coming here for years. Two mains, two desserts, and drinks for the usual price. Nothing fancy, but it's a solid meal that doesn't break the bank.

Shannon and Bobby remembered my usual order, which was a nice touch. Service was quick and friendly, even when they were busy. Makes a difference.

Really enjoyed the local craft ales here. The owners clearly know their stuff and have a great selection. It's nice to find a place that focuses on independent brewers. The seating was comfortable too, which made for a relaxed visit.

Love that they’re dog-friendly! Plenty of seating, including accessible tables, and the parking out back made it so easy. The vibe is relaxed, perfect for a casual bite.

The tasting menu was a real journey. What stood out for me was the sommelier's pairing suggestion for the duck course - a bold red that cut through the richness beautifully. The staff explained each dish without being stuffy. A relaxed, enjoyable evening.

Cosy little place, perfect for warming up after a long walk. The minimalist decor is spot on. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which really made the visit.

Came with friends and we all got the steak pie. The portion was huge, we could have shared one! Perfect for a casual catch-up where you don't want to leave hungry. The crust was really nice and flaky.

Always book ahead! It was packed when we got there, and we only just squeezed in. Had to eat a bit quickly as they needed the table back. Still, a fun spot for a catch-up with mates.

The gluten-free bread here is a nice touch. Not everywhere has it, and it was actually pretty decent. Made ordering a lot easier for me.

The lamb was so tender, and the wine pairing suggested by the server really brought out its flavour. The red cabbage side was a standout too.

The scoops are huge! Thought it was pricey at first, but you get so much ice cream. Shared a double scoop with my mate and we were both stuffed. Good for a treat with friends.

The ice cream here was a real find. Rich and creamy, you can tell they use quality ingredients. A proper treat after a long walk in the Lake District.

The English breakfast was pretty good, especially the sausage. My wife enjoyed her eggs Royale, the sauce was nice. A decent spot for a weekend brunch, though the coffee was just fine.

Love that they're so welcoming to dogs. The homemade treats were a really sweet touch. My pup was over the moon.

The staff were polite and attentive, which was nice. The outdoor terrace overlooking the garden centre is a pleasant spot.

Great spot for a quick lunch. Found a table outside, service was fast. Fish and chips were decent, nothing fancy but hit the spot. Good for when you're in a rush.

Came for the wood-fired pizza and it didn’t disappoint. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, and the toppings on the Margherita were so fresh. The Pollo was great too – really generous with the chicken. Will be back for those!

Popped in for a quick bite. Got the spiced potato wedges - they were incredible, honestly. Sticky toffee pudding was a solid finish. Menu's veggie/vegan friendly which is handy. Quick service, got me in and out.

The curry was so good, spicy and tasty. Would definitely go again if we're back in Ambleside.

Portions are huge for what you pay, pretty standard around here. Got the steak and chips, couldn't finish it all. Good value, no question.

The margaritas are really nice with the food. They have a good choice of tequila and mezcal, which is great. The staff were friendly and the place felt comfortable to sit in for a while.

A comfortable spot for a quiet meal. The tables are nicely spaced, so you don't feel crowded. Having the sauces and things right there at your table is a thoughtful detail that makes everything feel easy. I appreciated that.

The fish and chips were really good, fresh and hot. Service was decently quick even though it was quite busy. A solid choice for a casual meal.
