Stayed for a couple of nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The lounge area attached to it was a nice surprise, quite spacious. It was fine for a short stay, though the decor felt a bit dated.

My regular spot in Kendal. The meze dishes are really nice, but I'm always here for the freshly baked borek - it's so good I usually grab an extra one to take away. They've got loads of vegan choices too.

Been here a few times, it's always packed. Staff are nice enough, but you do wait a bit for your food when it's heaving. Not a deal-breaker, just how it is.

The fish was lovely and fresh. Skin had a nice crisp. I asked for the tagliatelle without the chillies, and the sauce was still warm and flavourful. Appreciated that they could adjust it easily.

Cozy spot, really clean inside. I liked the little details in the ladies' room, like the nice hand soap and fresh flowers. The whole place just feels fresh and looked after.

Popped in for a quick bite. The staff were really chatty, which was nice. Felt like hanging out at a mate's place more than a proper restaurant. Food was decent, nothing fancy.

Popped in for a late lunch by the river. The haggis and halloumi bites were a real surprise - really tasty. Just wish there were a few more on the plate for the price.

Nice, cosy pub after a long hike. The steak and ale pie was the highlight for me – proper flaky pastry and the beef was really tender. The mash was creamy too. Staff were lovely and quick. Just what we needed.

Been coming here for years. The food's always spot on - simple, but they get the flavours right. It's just a proper, no-fuss local pub.

Service was prompt and attentive. The prawn starter was decent but portion felt a bit small for the price. Mains were generous and well-prepared. Efficient for a business lunch.

The staff were so sweet playing Happy Birthday for my friend's little one! Made the whole table smile. Food was good for the price too.

Got a table last minute on a busy Saturday, which was appreciated. Staff were efficient and polite. The ribeye was cooked as requested, tender and flavourful. A solid, reliable option for a business dinner in the area.

The chefs chatting while they cook is a nice touch. You learn a bit about where the local ingredients come from. It makes the meal feel a bit more personal, which is a good way to add value beyond just the plate.

The Moroccan cauliflower was a real highlight, really nicely spiced. Service was fine and the bill came in a bit under what I'd budgeted, which is always a plus. It does get busy, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Breakfast was spot on, food came out hot and tasty. Perfect for a chilled catch-up with mates before the day gets busy. The vibe is just right for a group.

Been coming here for years, and the thin-crust pizza is the reason. It's always consistent – that perfect crispy base and fresh toppings. Worth the drive every time.

Popped in for a coffee and a slice of carrot cake. The cake was spot on, really moist and not too sweet. Staff were lovely and kept things moving even when it got busy. No complaints.

I always get the beef chow mein here. The vegetables are crisp and fresh, which I really appreciate. The homemade onion rings are a nice treat, too, though they can be a bit greasy sometimes. It's my go-to for a reliable meal.

The Buddha bowl was lovely, especially the warm falafel and coronation sauce. The homemade cakes looked tempting too. My only small note is that the chairs are a bit hard for a longer sit.

Had a lovely dinner here last night. The lamb shank was cooked perfectly, just fell off the bone. Service was attentive but not intrusive. A bit pricey for the portion size, but the quality was there. Would go back.

A real find for breakfast! The scrambled eggs were so creamy, and they even brought an extra sausage for my dog. Perfect start to the day with my pup.
