Service was prompt and professional. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Food was decent, prices fair. Good spot for a business lunch.

The wood pigeon starter was gorgeous, and the hake and steak mains were fabulous. The chocolate marquise dessert was beautiful. Some of the best food we've had in a long time.

Such a dog-friendly spot! The staff are always so sweet to my pup, makes it a perfect place to meet friends.

Perfect for a cold night. The beer is great, really hits the spot. Staff are quick and friendly. Just what you need for a quick, warming bite.

Cosy village pub, nice for a summer pint outside. Had the Guinness on tap – it was spot on. The lager looked good too. Just a proper, no-fuss place for a drink.

The refurb looks great, the inside is really tasteful now. We sat outside and it was lovely, perfect for a sunny afternoon. Food was decent, nothing mind-blowing but solid. A bit pricey for what it is though.

The fried eggs were exactly how I like them, fully solid with no runny yolk. That's a rare find. The bacon was crisp, the sausage had a good snap. Just a solid, no-nonsense fry-up.

The atmosphere in this restaurant is lovely, especially with the live music on Monday nights. The staff were incredibly attentive, making the dining experience even better.

The menu changes throughout the year and is always tasty, well presented and good value. The staff are friendly and the location, with views of the Abbey and the hidden courtyard garden, is great on a summer evening.

We held our wedding reception here. The space is lovely - bright and full of character, perfect for a relaxed celebration. Amy and her team were brilliant throughout.

Solid Sunday roast. The beef was cooked just right, and the potatoes were lovely. The gravy had good flavour. What really made it for me was the wine list - found a nice red that paired beautifully with the beef. The veg portion could have been a bit more generous, but that's a minor thing.

Surprise 80th birthday party in the private room. Staff, particularly Megan, handled decorations and cake delivery efficiently. Everything ran smoothly, which was crucial for our group. The space itself worked well for the size of our gathering.

We popped in for a family lunch. Russ prepared our meals, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the salad greens were crisp. It's nice to find a place that clearly cares about the quality of their produce.

Been coming here for years. The new look is much brighter and cleaner, which is a nice change. Had the fish and chips today, still as good as ever. Just feels a bit more pleasant to sit in now.

Been here a few times. The food's always solid, and the team are really nice. It's my go-to when I just want a dependable burger and a pint without any fuss.

Lunch outside overlooking the river was lovely. The interior is the real star though – all dark wood and brass, feels like you're on an old ship. Just a really nice spot to be.

Great to bring the dog along. Staff were all really friendly and quick, made Sunday lunch a breeze. Food was decent, but honestly the portions felt a bit on the small side for the price.

Been coming here for years. They're always quick, even when it's packed. Lets you get on with your day.

Found this place by chance. The pork belly was incredible, just melted away. It’s a simple little pub, but the kitchen is doing something special. No wonder there’s always a queue.

The Big Stuff Pizza was really good. I liked how fresh the toppings were, especially the vegetables. The crust had a nice crisp to it. A solid choice for a pub meal.

The non-alcoholic pairing was the highlight. Really creative drinks that matched each course.

Popped in for a pint with mates. The beer garden's view over Bristol is the real draw. Had those festive roasties with gravy and truffle oil. They were spot on, really tasty. Good spot for a casual drink.

Been coming here for years, and the outdoor seating is still my favourite spot. It's just a really nice place to unwind with a pint when the sun's out. The vibe is consistently good, which is what keeps me coming back.

A nice place for a drink. The seating is really comfortable, which I appreciate. The interior has some lovely details, like the bookshelves and coloured glass. It's a relaxing spot to unwind.

Julie and Alun were super helpful with my gluten-free options. Quick to suggest a few things, sorted me out fast. Made the whole lunch break easy.

Had the grilled octopus again since the new owners came in. It’s just as good as last time—super fresh and tender, with that perfect char. Really glad they’ve kept the quality up.

Lovely relaxed spot for a family lunch. I really appreciated the focus on fresh ingredients in their salads. The greens were crisp and the roasted vegetables had a nice flavour. Portions were decent. A solid choice for a healthier pub meal.

Proper old pub at the top of Cheap Street. Had a pint here, really liked the local vibe. Place is spotless and feels well-run. Just a solid, no-fuss spot.
