Been coming here for Sunday roasts for ages now. The beef is always spot on – never dry, always that perfect pink in the middle. That's why I keep coming back. The dessert menu's a killer though, always takes me ages to pick one!

The original painting inside is really something. I enjoyed reading the little description card next to it. The bar staff were very friendly and made the visit nice and easy.

Been coming here for years. The front bar's got those original beams and a working fireplace, feels like proper old-school. They always keep their ales spot on, which is rare these days. A solid local.

The QR code ordering was so handy! Just scanned, picked our food and drinks from the menu on my phone, and that was it. Really streamlined the whole thing.

The Wednesday quiz night is such a good shout for a midweek meet-up. The host is really engaging and the little supper they give you is a nice touch. We had a proper laugh.

A solid traditional pub right on the market square. The real ales are always fresh, which I appreciate.

The desserts were the highlight for me. The sticky toffee pudding was perfectly warm and not too sweet. The pub itself has a nice, relaxed vibe - the lighting is soft and the wooden booths are comfy. A good spot to unwind.

Been coming here for years, and the pies are always spot on. The shin and ale one is massive, proper chips and mushy peas on the side. It's the one thing I know I can rely on.

The fish and chips are the reason I come. A huge, flaky fillet with that light, crispy batter you want. Chips are proper thick-cut. It's just a classic done right.

A short walk from the centre. The burger was really good, juicy and cooked just right. The thin-crust pizza was tasty too, a nice crispy base. Menu's got a good bit of choice. Staff were friendly.

Portions are huge for the price, especially in the town centre. My main was so big I had to get a takeaway box. Good for a filling meal when you're watching the budget.

A proper local pub. Mark and his mum are lovely, really make you feel at home. The new air con is a godsend on a warm day, and the garden out back is a nice spot. Just what you need.

The portions here are huge! Got the pasta and honestly couldn't finish it, but it was all really good quality. Drinks are decently priced too. Quick service, which is nice when you're just hungry.

Been in a few times now. It’s a proper no-frills local, but always feels welcoming. Bar staff are sound, and the summer seating out front is a proper bonus. 👍

Found this spot and tried their new karaoke rooms. The manager was really nice and helpful, which made the whole evening easy and relaxed.

The steak and ale pie was so rich and flavourful. The crust was a bit firm for me, but that filling!

The location is very central, making it a great spot to grab a bite before heading to the theatres or shops. The menu offers a variety of options at reasonable prices.

Tried the beef bourguignon special. Good portion for the price, flavour was solid. Service kept up well despite the busy lunch rush.

Came for lunch, the portion sizes are huge. I ordered the pasta and couldn't finish it, ended up taking half home for dinner. Good for the price you pay.

Came for a Christmas party. The private room was well set up, and the service was efficient. Staff kept things running smoothly.

The Sunday roast here is spot on. Beef was cooked just right, not overdone. They brought an extra jug of gravy without me asking, which was perfect for the generous Yorkshire puddings. Portions are big, left feeling very full.

Came for a quiet lunch and it delivered. The space is really calm, with nice natural light and comfy chairs. My food arrived piping hot, which was a plus. Just a peaceful spot to unwind.

Been coming here for years, and their new banquet menu is a solid addition. The portion sizes are generous for what you pay, and the quality hasn't dipped. It's become my go-to for a reliable, fuss-free meal with friends.

The chorizo croquettes were tasty, and the three-course set menu is a good deal. The space itself is really bright and airy.

Came with my dad, we both got the fish and chips. The portion was huge! The fish was cooked just right, and the chips were really good – crispy outside, fluffy inside. The staff were friendly and quick. A solid meal.

Been a while since I was last in. Had the Christmas dinner this time. Food was hot, proper home-cooked feel. Staff were friendly, seemed genuinely cheerful. Decent spot for a family meal.

The wings were so good I had to order a second round. Staff really knew their beers and helped me pick one without rushing. Perfect spot to relax after a long day.

Came for the Sunday roast and went for the lamb shank. It was so tender it just fell off the bone, and the roasties were spot on. A proper, hearty plate of food.

Nice traditional pub with a great selection of beers. The bar area is really comfortable to sit in.

My go-to for a quick lunch. The steak special was good, chips are always spot on. In and out in under 30 mins, which is key for me.
