The grilled sardines were really good. Fresh, salty, cooked over the open flame just right. Portion was decent for the price too, not one of those places that rips you off for a tiny plate. I'd go back just for that dish.

The bolas here are solid, though a bit denser than the ones at Zé Natário. Pumpkin jam tart was the highlight though. Worth a stop if you're nearby.

The francesinha here is solid, but honestly, the toastas are where it's at. Crispy, loaded, and they pair beautifully with a glass of alvarinho. Grabbed a seat on the terrace, which was perfect for watching the street go by. Service was a bit slow, but the wine made up for it.

This restaurant offers a fantastic seafood platter that never disappoints! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming, making it a great place for seafood lovers.

Breakfast spread was solid, fresh stuff everywhere. Lunch pasta missed the cream though, kinda meh. Service kept it friendly 😊

Stumbled into this tavern and ended up coming back almost every night. The owners actually remember you, which is nice. Had their homemade snacks and honestly, that was enough. Cozy spot, felt like eating at someone's place. Not fancy, but you don't need fancy when the food's this comforting.

The prawns were the highlight for me—small but so fresh, just simply grilled with salt. That's how you do seafood. Service was on point too, kept our water topped up without hovering. A solid meal in Matosinhos, no complaints. Maybe a bit pricey for what it is, but the quality makes up for it.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Sandwiches were pretty good, decent size. Staff friendly enough. Octopus salad was a bit bland, wouldn't get that again. But the place has a nice buzz to it. Fine for what it is.

The garlic shrimp were really good—fresh, plenty of garlic, not oily at all. I liked that they brought out little snacks before the meal, nice touch. Nothing fancy about the place, but the food speaks for itself. Would come back for those shrimp alone. Maybe slightly pricey for the setting, but fair for what you get.

Came here with a couple of friends after someone said it was the real deal. Honestly, the portions are huge and the food tastes like actual home cooking. We ordered a bit of everything and still left with boxes. The walnut pie for dessert was the highlight for me. Prices are super fair too, especially for the amount you get. Place is a bit simple inside but that’s part of the charm I guess.

Came hungry, left stuffed. Portions are massive, the grilled fish was spot on. Service was quick and friendly, no complaints there. Place gets busy around 8, so come early if you want a quiet table. Solid spot for a proper meal without breaking the bank.

The seafood congee was packed with prawns, octopus, and cod—so comforting for the price. That older waiter? Total charm. 🥣

Stumbled onto this place and loved the vibe — that quirky interior really gives it personality. The Talho Burger was solid, and the Lallo wine surprised me in a good way. Only thing, fries came out a bit soft, and it's pretty dim in the back if you're trying to take pics. Still, I'd go back for that burger.

Nice riverside spot for wine and cold plates with friends, though service kinda faded after the food came. 🍷

Been coming here for a while now. The fried sardines are always spot on, never greasy. Small menu but they do it right. House wine is decent too.

The leitão was spot on—crispy skin, juicy meat, that sauce is killer. Not pricey either. Just point at the menu if you don't speak Portuguese. Cash only, so bring some. Pair it with vinho verde, done.

Book ahead, this place fills up quick. Had the francesinha and some rice dishes, all solid. That chocolate mousse is still the reason I keep coming back.

The lady at the counter was super friendly and even shared a couple of recipes with us. Service like that makes the place stand out.

The hosts here are genuinely warm people, made the whole place feel welcoming. Had a nice tavern vibe without trying too hard.

Stopped here for lunch after walking along the river. Got the bacalhau and it was proper homemade, not fancy at all. Portion was huge, could barely finish. Family running the place were really friendly, made me feel at ease. Simple food but done right. Would come back if I'm in the area again.

Perfect moment and dîner at monverde ! Thank you so much for all.Ambiance, dîner, view, propre working here are amazing. We love to come back ☺️ !

Stopped by for lunch on a weekday. Place is small, easy to miss from the street. Had the seafood rice — they made a single portion even though it’s usually for two. That was thoughtful. Fish was fresh, rice had good texture. Not cheap but fair for what you get. Service was quick, no complaints. Would go back if I’m in the area again.

Came here with a couple of friends last week and honestly the mixed grill was the star. Big portions, we couldn’t even finish everything. Service was chill, not hovering over us which I liked. Place is pretty basic but who cares when the food’s this good. Would go back just for that grill 😄

Best francesinha I've had around here. Meat was spot on, sauce a bit sweet but I liked it. Place gets packed though, come early or you'll wait.
